Music ratings are divided into two weekly posts: one for albums, and one for individual songs; this is the song post. Songs achieve their positions on the weekly Billboard & Rolling Stone lists based on three major metrics: sales, streaming, and airplay. Below are three charts: the top 25 songs of the week based on total U.S. sales, the top 25 based on total U.S. streaming and the top 40 songs of the week based on U.S. pop radio airplay.
BTS's 'Dynamite' somehow again led all singles in total sales, beating out strong debuts from Drake, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber. The song had nearly 28,000 in pure sales in the tracking week ending March 11, up from 24.1K last week and just ever-so-slightly more than second-ranked 'Leave the Door Open' from Bruno Mars (27,100). Drake debuted three new songs in the 3-5 positions with 'What's Next' (18,700) in third, 'Wants and Needs' (16,600) in fourth, and 'Lemon Pepper Freestyle' (15,300) in fifth. Justin Bieber debuted his new song 'Hold On' just outside of the top 5 with 13,800 sales, a healthy margin over previous chart-toppers 'Up' from Cardi B (9,400) and 'Drivers License' from Olivia Rodrigo (7,200). Of note outside the 25 includes Chris Brown's 'Go Crazy' (1,700), Cardi B's 'WAP' (1,600), Ariana Grande's '34+35' (1,500) & 'Positions' (1,200), and SZA's 'Good Days' (1,500). Note: this list only includes songs that had over $38.64K revenue for the week; a song with less than $38.64K in revenue could theoretically have more sales than the 25th ranked song on this list and it would not appear here.

Drake had a monster week on streaming this week with the three songs from his new EP, 'Scary Hours 2' taking the top 3 spots in the weekly rankings. 'What's Next' debuted atop the chart with 44.33 million U.S. streams in its first week - the second-best weekly streaming total of 2021 behind only the crazy first week of Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' in the week ending Jan. 14 (67 million). Drake's other two songs, 'Wants and Needs' and 'Lemon Pepper Freestyle' were not far behind at 39.5 million & 30.2 million respectively. Bruno Mars also had a solid week with his new song 'Leave the Door Open' taking the fourth spot on the week (18.52 million) just ahead of Cardi B's 'Up' (18.17 million). Songs of note below the top 25 include Bad Bunny's 'DAKITI' (8.593m), The Kid Laroi's 'Without You' (7.705m), DaBaby's 'Rockstar' (7.306m), Chris Brown's 'Go Crazy' (7.018m), Ariana Grande's 'Positions' (6.779m), Tate McRae's 'You Broke Me First' (6.448m), and Justin Bieber's 'Anyone' (6.377m). Note: this list only includes songs that had over $38.64K revenue for the week; a song with less than $38.64K in revenue could theoretically have more streams than the 25th ranked song on this list and it would not appear here.

This was an interesting week to see whether or not Billie Eilish's 'Therefore I Am' could feasibly make a play for the top spot on the pop radio chart, and it remains possible, but unlikely. The song gained just 363 plays in the tracking week (versus last week's 1146 gain) to bring its total to just under 15,000. 'Drivers License' was at the summit for the third straight week, logging 17,315 plays in the week, down about 308 from last week, but likely still high enough to spend a fourth week atop the chart and not be caught by 'Therefore I Am.' Those two songs sandwiched Ariana Grande's '34+35' which spends a third week in the runner-up spot with a still-impressive 15,210 plays - down 584 week-to-week. The song with the most increased plays from last week was 'Leave the Door Open' which rose 2282 to 3,302 to just barely reach the top 25. Other top gainers were Maroon 5's 'Beautiful Mistakes' (up 2113) and Tate McRae's 'You Broke Me First' (up 747). Of note below the top 25 was 'Up' (2,153 plays/4.326m audience), Masked Wolf's 'Astronaut in the Ocean' (1,901/2.936m), Daya's 'Bad Girl' (1,475/2.838m), SZA's 'Good Days' (999/1.242m), and Bebe Rexha's 'Sacrifice' (593/884K).
