Below are the broadcast TV ratings for the week ending August 28, 2016. The first chart includes ratings based on households (HH), adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54, and total viewers (presented in millions) while the second chart presents sub-demographic ratings (divided by gender) for adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. Note: most reruns are excluded from the chart below and PUT data was not available for the summer season.

Roadies (Showtime): Ratings Recap

Showtime's 'Roadies' premiered June 26, 2016 to a low 0.07 adults 18-49 rating with 348,000 total viewers. It hit a season-high in its second episode, averaging a 0.11 rating with 353,000 viewers, and hit a series-low in its sixth episode, averaging a 0.06 rating with 242,000 viewers. It concluded to a 0.08 rating with 308,000 viewers and averaged a 0.09 with 307,000 viewers over its 10 episodes. The series was not renewed for a second season. 

Bunheads (ABC Family): Ratings Recap

ABC Family's 'Bunheads' premiered in June 2012 to a 0.6 18-49 rating and 1.64 million viewers. It ended the first part of its season in August with a 0.6 rating and 1.5 million viewers. It returned for the second part of its season in January 2013 with a 0.5 rating and 1.23 million viewers. It concluded its series with 1.01 million viewers and averaged 1.25 million viewers over the course of its 18 episodes.

The Sinner (USA): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2021: USA's 'The Sinner' was pegged as a limited close-ended event series when in premiered in August 2017; however, it very quickly cemented itself as the breakout hit of the summer. After premiering to a 0.42 18-49 rating and 1.63 million viewers, it rose over 800K viewers and a 0.35 in the ratings to a 0.77 and 2.44 million viewer season conclusion. This warranted USA to renew the show for a second season which aired in 2018. Unfortunately, the ratings fell off from the inaugural season conclusion, down to just 0.28 in the demo & 1.1 million viewers (though in general this was strong for cable). Even those numbers were not sustained as the show tumbled to 0.16 & 651,000 in its third season, and down even more to 0.08 & 438,000 in its fourth season. The show ended after 4 seasons.

Shooter (USA): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2018: USA's 'Shooter' premiered November 15, 2016 to a 0.50 rating and 1.44 million viewers, and concluded its first season to a 0.49 rating and 1.45 million viewers; averaging 0.48 & 1.45 million in the process. A second season aired in 2017, dipping to a 0.35 rating & 1.28 million viewers on-average, but 2018's third season fell even further: by nearly half in the demo (to 0.18) and to just 730,000 viewers. It ended after three seasons.

Burn Notice (USA): Ratings Recap

'Burn Notice' premiered on USA Network in 2007 to a 1.5 18-49 rating and 3.99 million viewers. It finished its first season with a double episode which averaged 4.78 million viewers. Its highest rating was a 2.1, which occurred twice, and its highest viewership was 7.59 million in a season 3 episode. The show concluded in 2013 with a 1.3 rating and 4.97 million viewers. The show aired a total of 111 episodes over the course of 7 seasons.

UPDATED 2018: USA Network's 'Colony' premiered January 14, 2016 to a 0.44 adults 18-49 rating and 1.36 million viewers. The first season concluded to a 0.34 rating and 1.19 million viewers, and averaged a 0.38 and 1.13 million over its first 10 episodes. A second season premiered in 2017, falling to 0.26 & 814,000 on-average, and a third season aired in 2018 where it fell even further to 0.16 & 665,000 viewers. The show concluded after three seasons.

'Switched at Birth' premiered on ABC Family in 2011 to a 1.3 18-49 rating and 3.3 million viewers. It aired 10 episodes in summer 2011 that averaged a 1.1 rating and 2.76 million viewers, 12 episodes in spring 2012 that averaged a 0.8 and 1.84 million, and 8 episodes in fall 2012 that averaged a 0.7 and 1.64 million. It premiered its final season in 2017 on Freeform, to a 0.24 rating and 598,000 viewers. It averaged a 0.21 rating and 501,000 viewers in its fifth season. It aired a total of 103 episodes over the course of five seasons.

Celebrity Conversations (Ovation): Ratings Recap

Ovation's 'Celebrity Conversations' premiered July 13, 2015 to a 0.00 adults 18-49 rating with 11,000 viewers. It hit a 0.01 rating on three occasions in its first season, including in its inaugural season finale where it hit a season-high 23,000 viewers. A second season premiered in 2016 to 6,000 viewers and only managed to score a 0.01 rating on a single occasion: its penultimate episode which averaged a series-high 24,000 viewers. The show concluding to a whimper - averaging a mere 1,000 viewers, and was not renewed for a third season.

UPDATED 2019: USA Network's 'Mr. Robot' premiered in 2015 to a 0.46 18-49 rating and 1.75 million viewers, and averaged a 0.48 and 1.39 million over its first season. A second season premiered in 2016 to a 0.43 rating and 1.04 million, averaging 762,000 viewers, and a third season aired in 2017 where it averaged a 0.22 demo rating with 529,000 viewers. There was a nearly 2-year gap between the conclusion of the third season in 2017 and the start of the fourth in 2019 which may have contributed to its decline in the ratings. The fourth season averaged a 0.12 rating & 376,000 viewers and concluded its run to just 318,000 viewers.

Schitt's Creek (Pop): Ratings Recap

Updated 2020: 'Schitt's Creek' premiered in February 2015 on Pop network in the United States. The show's premiere brought in a 0.04 18-49 rating with 275,000 viewers and the first season averaged a 0.04 with 156,000. A second season premiered in 2016 and averaged higher than the first season in both the demo (up to 0.06) and total viewers (217,000). A third season premiered in 2017 and was rose in the ratings (to 0.07, 266,000) as did the fourth season in 2018 (to 0.08, 272,000). The pattern of increases stopped in 2019 when the fifth season dipped back down to 0.07 (201,000), but the sixth season in 2020 saw the show's biggest numbers yet. The season premiered to 0.17 in the demo with 398,000 viewers and hit as high as 501,000 viewers for its finale. A "Farewell" special aired immediately following the finale and brought in the show's highest 18-49 demo score (0.19). The show ended after six seasons.

VH1's 'Daytime Divas' premiered in 2017 to a 0.54 18-49 rating and 1.28 million viewers. The season as a whole averaged just about 1 million viewers and a 0.43 18-49 rating. The season concluded with its lowest numbers: a 0.29 rating and 650,000 viewers.

Hit the Floor (VH1/BET): Ratings Recap

VH1's 'Hit the Floor' premiered in 2013 to a 0.8 18-49 rating with 1.54 million viewers and rose dramatically over the course of its first season. It finished with a 1.4 rating & 2.62 million viewers, and averaged a 1.1 and 2.13 million viewers for the season. The second season (2014) pulled similar numbers: averaging a 1.1 rating and 2.26 million viewers; however, the delayed third season (which didn't air until 2016) only managed a 0.65 rating and 1.3 million viewers on average. A fourth and final season aired nearly two-and-a-half years later in 2018 and switched from VH1 to BET. That 8-episode run crumbled to just 0.15 in the demo & 383,000 viewers, and the show was not renewed for a fifth season.

It remained steady over the course of it's first season averaging a 0.32 rating and 993,000 viewers over the course of its 10 episodes. The second season premiered in 2017 to a 0.37 rating and 1.1 million viewers before taking a huge drop for the remainder of the season's episodes. Season 2 averaged a 0.19 rating and 567,000 viewers.
