Cable Network Ratings: 12/17 - 12/23/2018

Below are the weekly primetime averages for all ad-supported cable networks. The list includes both the average household rating and average viewership (in thousands), but is ranked on viewers. The week was led by ESPN (2.89 million) which had a resounding more than 800K viewers than second-ranked Hallmark Channel (2.07 million). Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, normally a low-rated network, made its way into the top 10 this week (1.08 million) bolstered by a week of Christmas movies. MSNBC (1.98 million) was the week's top viewed cable news network followed by FOX News (1.92 million), CNN (1.14 million), CNBC (300,000), HLN (284,000), and FOX Business (105,000). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 12/17 - 12/23/2018

Below are the social content ratings for the top 10 shows on both Broadcast and Cable for the week ending December 23, 2018. 'WWE Monday Night RAW' led the week with just over 1.65 million interactions and was the most-interacted with show on Instagram (1.17 million). Timeless' (416,000) was the only scripted series to make the list.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 12/10 - 12/16/2018

Without the usual top gainers airing this week, ABC's 'Modern Family' saw the week's best 7-day rise in the adults 18-49 demo, up 1.13 to 2.52. Among raw viewership gains, the show was less impressive, up only 3.09 million viewers to 8.78 million. Atop the viewership gains was CBS's 'Bull' which rose 4.65 million viewers to 12.05 million in 7-day delayed viewing. Leading the percentage demo gains was 'A Million Little Things,' on ABC, which jumped 136% from 0.73 to 1.71 - almost a full demo point. The program also led in percentage viewership gains, up 100% from 3.37 million viewers to 6.74 million. On the cable side, Bravo's 'Dirty John' again led both the L+3 demo and viewership gains, seeing a rise of 0.53 among adults 18-49 (to 0.83), as well as an increase of 1.55 million viewers to 2.69 million.

Cable Network Ratings: 12/10 - 12/16/2018

ESPN again led all cable networks in the primetime ratings for the week ending December 16, averaging 2.47 million viewers, joining only FOX News (2.09 million) and Hallmark Channel (2.04 million) in networks averaging over 2 million viewers. On the cable news side, MSNBC (1.97 million) ranked fourth, followed by CNN at 7th (1.08 million), CNBC at 44th (276,000), HLN at 47th (255,000), and FOX Business at 71st (101,000). Rounding out the networks scoring above 1 million viewers was NFL Network (1.55 million), USA Network (1.26 million), HGTV (1.07 million), A&E (1.04 million), ID (1.03 million), and History (1.01 million). 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 12/3 - 12/9/2018

Without the presence of either 'Manifest' or 'This is Us', CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' topped the week in the L+7 broadcast raw demo gains, rising 1.58 among adults 18-49 to a 3.71 rating. The show ranked second among raw viewership gains, up 4.76 million viewers to 17.29 million within 7 days. Atop the raw viewership gains was ABC's 'The Good Doctor' which ticked up 5.47 million viewers to 11.61 million. 'A Million Little Things,' on ABC, led the week in both the percentage demo and viewership gains, up 147% from 0.71 to 1.74 in adults 18-49, and 108% from 3.18 million viewers to 6.6 million. On the cable side, Bravo's 'Dirty John' again led in both the demo and viewership L+3 gains, up 0.43 to 0.83 in adults 18-49, and 1.39 million viewers to 2.67 million.

Saturday December 15, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Two NFL games on NFL Network led a slow Saturday on cable. The 8:30pm game, Browns v. Broncos, took the top spot on the day with a 2.15 A18-49 rating, and scored big numbers in Men 18-49 (2.96), Males 12-34 (1.75), People 25-54 (2.64), and total viewers (7.29 million). The 4:30pm game, Texas v. Jets, was at 1.24/1.80/1.04/1.63 in those respective demos with 4.76 million viewers. Over on A&E, 'Live PD' was the highest-rated non-sports option weighing in at a 0.6 rating with 1.88 million viewers, and skewing just slightly female in the 18-49s (0.62 to 0.58), but oddly skewing male in the 12-34s (0.42 to 0.45). On the scripted side, Hallmark's original movie 'Entertaining Christmas' scored a 0.55 F18-49 rating (1.86 in P50+) with 2.71 million viewers, and Lifetime's movie 'Christmas Pen Pals' managed a 0.25 F18-49 rating with 1.11 million viewers. Elsewhere was Oxygen's 'Criminal Confessions' (277,000) and HBO's 'Sesame Street' (117,000). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 12/10 - 12/16/2018

USA Network's 'WWE Monday Night RAW' topped the social content ratings for the week ending December 16, averaging 1.42 million interactions. On the same net, 'WWE Smackdown!,' was at second on the week with 1.03 million viewers. Other programs of note include Monday (666,000) and Tuesday (776,000) episodes of 'The Voice' and 'CMA Country Music' (380,000). The only scripted series' to make the list this week were the CW's 'Riverdale' (678,000) and 'Arrow' (380,000).

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 11/26 - 12/2/2018

NBC's 'This is Us' topped the L+7 broadcast ratings in raw demo gains, up a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49 to 3.77, and ranked third among raw viewership gains up 5.16 million viewers to 14.16 million. Leading the raw viewership gains was ABC's 'The Good Doctor' which rose 5.55 million viewers to 12.22 million. Among percentage gains, 'A Million Little Things' was atop both the demo and viewership gains, seeing a rise of 135% from 0.79 to 1.84 in adults 18-49, and 102% from 3.47 million to 7.02 million in total viewers. On the cable side, Bravo's 'Dirty John' led both the demo and viewership L+3 gains, up 0.39 to 0.78 in the demo, and 1.26 million viewers to 2.5 million.

Cable Network Ratings: 12/3 - 12/9/2018

ESPN topped the ratings for week ending December 9 among all cable networks, averaging 2.57 million viewers in primetime. Impressively, three other networks averaged over 2 million viewers this week; Fox News (2.18 million), MSNBC (2.06 million), and Hallmark Channel (2.03 million). Looking at other cable news nets, CNN ranked 9th (1.04 million), CNBC was 42nd (319,000), HLN was 46th (274,000), and FOX Business was 75th (104,000). Other nets to average above 1 million viewers include: USA Network (1.22 million), A&E Network (1.09 million), HGTV (1.07 million), TBS (1.05 million), and History (1 million).

'X Company,' on Ovation, premiered February 19, 2018 to a 0.01 adults 18-49 rating with 109,000 viewers, and ended its 8-episode first season down at a dead zero with 67,000 viewers. The show hit a series-high 0.02 A18-49 rating only a single time, and aside from the series-premiere, went as high as 96,000 viewers. The show's second season premiered May 7, 2018 to a 0.00 rating with 55,000 viewers, and the third season premiered August 20, 2018 to a 0.01 rating with 44,000 viewers. It concluded its run on October 29, 2018 to a 0.01 rating with 80,000 viewers, airing a total of 28 episodes over 3 seasons.

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 12/3 - 12/9/2018

Coverage of the 'Heisman Trophy Ceremony' topped all programming on the social platforms, averaging 1.47 million interactions, including 812,000 from Instagram and 584,000 from Twitter. On USA Network, 'WWE Monday Night RAW' and 'WWE Smackdown' ranked second and third on the week, at 1.22 million and 1.0 million interactions respectively. The only scripted series to make the list this week were: CW's 'The Flash' (493,000), & 'Riverdale' (423,000), and NBC's 'The Good Place' (223,000).

Wednesday December 5, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'NBA Basketball' between the Spurs and Lakers, led the Wednesday cable ratings with a 0.83 A18-49 rating with 1.82 million viewers. The game also topped in men 18-49 (1.26 rating), males 12-34 (1.06), people 18-34 (0.86), and people 25-54 (0.83), while the Sixers/Raptors game ranked second in each of those demos (1.13/0.97/0.77/0.69) and averaged 1.64 million viewers. Over at Bravo, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' scored the day's best rating among women 18-49 (0.66 rating) with 1.15 million viewers, and 'Real Housewives of Dallas' was at 0.48 in that demo with 810,000 viewers. On Comedy Central, 'South Park' was solid among both M18-49 (0.58) and M12-34 (0.46) with 769,000 viewers, while on VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' impressed in both W18-49 (0.64) and F12-34 (0.46) with 1.04 million viewers.

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 11/26 - 12/2/2018

 ABC's coverage of the 'Victoria's Secret Fashion Show' dominated the week's social ratings, averaging 5.77 million total interactions across Facebook (41,000), Instagram (5.36 million), and Twitter (362,000). On USA Network, 'WWE Smackdown!' and 'WWE Monday Night RAW' averaged 1.49 million and 1.47 million interactions respectively, ranking second and third on the week. On the scripted side, Freeform original movie 'Life-Size 2' did well with 392,000 interactions, NBC's 'This Is Us' was solid at 539,000, and CW's 'Riverdale' scored 466,000.  

Tuesday December 4, 2018 Nielsen Finals

History's 'The Curse of Oak Island' topped the Tuesday cable ratings with a 0.74 A18-49 rating and 3.3 million viewers, leading also among men 18-49 (0.9 rating), and people 25-54 (1.02). On Bravo, 'Below Deck' scored the best numbers of the day in both women 18-49 (0.89) and females 12-34 (0.53), averaging 1.81 million viewers in the process; while on MTV, 'The Challenge: Final Reckoning' notched 0.44/0.38 in those respective demos with 671,000 viewers. Over at USA Network, 'WWE Smackdown' averaged a 0.81 M18-49 rating, a 0.49 M12-34 rating, and 1.95 million viewers, with two lead-out episodes of 'Chrisley Knows Best' at 0.39/0.36 among W18-49 and 1.09 million/956,000 among total viewers. Other notable entries on the day include TBS's 'The Guest Book' (853,000), Food Network's 'Chopped' (951,000), BET's 'The Family Business' (582,000), and A&E's 'Leah Remini: Scientology' (927,000).

Monday December 3, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Redskins and Eagles easily topped the Monday cable ratings with a 3.62 A18-49 rating and 11.24 million viewers. The game also led in all major subdemos: men & women 18-49 (5.08/2.19 ratings), males & females 12-34 (3.39/1.56), and people 18-34 (2.92) & P25-54 (4.26). On USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' were at 0.97/1.14/1.07 in M18-49 and averaged 2.26 million/2.4 million/2.2 million viewers. Lead-out, 'Real Country' dipped to 0.28 among M18-49 with 683,000 viewers. Over at VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop' scored a 1.14 W18-49 rating with 1.61 million viewers, and 'T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle' managed a 0.68 in that demo with 1.04 million viewers. 'Teen Mom,' on MTV, was at 0.81 among W18-49, 0.64 in F12-34, and 986,000 viewers, while 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.48/0.45 respectively with 583,000 viewers. Bravo's 'Vanderpump Rules' also performed solid in both demos (0.76/0.45) as well as in total viewers (1.25 million). Finally, 'My Brilliant Friend,' on HBO, averaged 210,000 viewers. 

Sunday December 2, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Without competition from 'The Walking Dead,' Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' topped the Sunday cable ratings with a 0.73 A18-49 rating and 1.94 million viewers. The show also secured the day's best numbers in women 18-49 (1.07 rating) and the second-best ratings in females 12-34 (0.58). Lead-out 'Real Housewives of OC' scored a 0.66 demo rating, 0.97 in W18-49, and 1.71 million viewers, while 'Dirty John' impressed at 0.54 in W18-49 with 1.23 million viewers. On TLC, '90 Day Fiancé' was at 0.87 in W18-49 with 1.8 million viewers, and on E!, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' hit a 0.65 with 941,000 viewers. Over on Freeform, original movie 'Life Size 2' topped the F12-34 ratings (0.92) and averaged 1.26 million viewers. The Hallmark original movie, 'A Majestic Christmas,' scored a 0.58 W18-49 rating, a 1.78 P50+ rating, and 2.63 million viewers, while a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie, 'Once Upon a Christmas Miracle' hit 0.37/1.55 in those demos with 2.15 million viewers. Over on premium cable, HBO aired 'My Brilliant Friend' (291,000), 'Sally4Ever' (133,000), and the season finale of 'Camping' (308,000); Showtime had 'Ray Donovan' (1.05 million), 'Escape at Dannemora' (559,000), and 'Enemies' (142,000); and STARZ had 'Outlander' (958,000).

Cable Network Ratings: 11/26 - 12/2/2018

ESPN reigned supreme in the cable network ratings for the week ending December 2, averaging just over 2.16 million viewers in primetime. Hallmark Channel was close behind at 2.11 million viewers, while sister net Hallmark Movies & Mysteries saw 1.08 million. Among cable news networks, FOX News (2.07 million) led the way, followed by MSNBC (1.95 million), CNN (1.04 million), HLN (284,000), CNBC (242,000), and FOX Business (93,000). Other networks with over 1 million viewers for the week include USA Network (1.18 million), HGTV (1.11 million), History (1.08 million), AMC (1.06 million), Food Network (1.04 million), ID (1.02 million), and TBS (1.01 million).

Saturday December 1, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 9am program 'College Gameday' led a very slow day on Saturday cable, averaging a 0.58 A18-49 rating with 1.8 million viewers, while A&E's 'Live PD' took the second spot with a 0.57 and 1.87 million viewers. Christmas-themed movies were highly prevalent with Hallmark's 'Mingle All the Way' pulling the day's best numbers in women 18-49 (0.83 rating), females 12-34 (0.48), people over 50 (2.64), and total viewers (3.87 million). On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, original movie 'Christmas Wonderland' was at 0.23/0.09/1.08 in those demos with 1.49 million viewers, on Lifetime, 'A Twist of Christmas' was at 0.25/0.16/0.91 with 1.33 million viewers, and on BET, 'Running Out of Time' notched 0.21/0.19/0.31 with 603,000 viewers. Other basic cable offerings included: Bravo's 'Married to Medicine' (622,000), Animal Planet's 'Pitbulls and Parolees' (675,000), and OWN's 'Ready to Love' (328,000). Finally, 'Versailles,' on Ovation, found 129,000. 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 11/19 - 11/25/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the L+7 raw demo gains for the week ending November 25, rising 2.02 to a 3.84 rating among adults 18-49. The show also led the raw viewership gains, up 6.1 million viewers to 14.02 million within 7 days. 'Manifest,' also on NBC, took second in both categories, up 1.46 in the demo and 5.95 million viewers. CW's 'Charmed' found its way atop both the percentage demo gains and percentage viewership gains, jumping 166% from 0.24 to 0.63 in the demo, and 110% from 869,000 viewers to 1.82 million. Over on cable, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' led the L+3 ratings on a relatively slow week, up 1.29 in the demo to 3.25, and 2.79 million viewers to 7.88 million. Bravo's new drama series, 'Dirty John' rose 0.28 to 0.64, and 867,000 viewers to 2.09 million.

Friday November 30, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Discovery's 'Gold Rush' found its way atop the Friday cable ratings on the last day of November, averaging a 0.64 A18-49 rating with 2.5 million viewers. The program also pulled cable-best numbers in both men 18-49 (0.8 rating) and people 25-54 (0.88). 'Live PD,' on A&E, was second at 0.62 in the key demo, cable best numbers in P18-34 (0.51), and 1.96 million viewers. On MTV, three episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.21/0.29/0.23 in F12-34 and 631,000/741,000/724,000 among total viewers. Over at Disney Channel, 'Andi Mack' found cable-best numbers among F12-34 (0.46), and showed upward promise among total viewers (833,000), as did 'Raven's Home' (747,000) to some extent. Elsewhere on basic cable was Syfy's 'Z Nation' (436,000) & 'Van Helsing' (318,000), Animal Planet's 'Tanked' (299,000), and OWN's 'The Paynes' (456,000). Finally, on premium cable, 2 episodes of HBO's 'Room 104' were at 164,000 & 135,000, and Cinemax's 'Tales from the Tour Bus' was at 94,000. 

Thursday November 29, 2018 Nielsen Finals

NFL Network's 'Thursday Night Football' topped the Thursday cable ratings with a 1.1 A18-49 rating and 3.2 million viewers, leading also in men 18-49 (1.59 rating), males 12-34 (1.05), people 18-34 (0.86), and people 25-54 (1.28). On MTV, 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' pulled a 0.81 W18-49 rating, a 0.77 F12-34 rating, and averaged 1.13 million viewers. Two lead-out episodes of 'Floribama Shore' were at 0.49/0.35 in F12-34 and 727,000/569,000 in total viewers. Over at Bravo, 'Shahs of Sunset' notched a 0.43 W18-49 rating with 876,000 viewers, and at TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was at 0.28 in M18-49 with 495,000 viewers. Coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Warriors and Raptors, on TNT, managed a 0.63 M18-49 rating, a 0.45 M12-34 rating, and 1.14 million viewers. Finally, among lower-rated cables, two episodes of IFC's 'Baronness Von Sketch Show' were at 79,000 & 69,000.

ESPN's coverage of 'College Basketball' between North Carolina and Michigan was atop the Wednesday cable ratings, averaging a 0.55 A18-49 rating with 1.56 million viewers along with the day's best numbers in men 18-49 (0.81 rating), and males 12-34 (0.62). Comedy Central's 'South Park' had the second-best ratings in those demos (0.72/0.61 respectively), the best P18-34 rating (0.53), and 832,000 viewers. 'Black Ink Crew,' on VH1, led the W18-49 demo with a 0.72 rating and 996,000 overall viewers, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey,' on Bravo, was second with a 0.62 and 1.14 million viewers, and 'Chrisley Knows Best,' on USA, took third with 1.09 million viewers. 'Real Housewives of Dallas,' also on Bravo, managed only a 0.40 in that demo with 667,000 viewers, while MTV's 'Catfish' was solid among F12-34 (0.34) and averaged 512,000 viewers. Finally, on History, 'Vikings' notched a 0.66 P25-54 rating with 1.94 million viewers, and lead-in 'Vikings: Specials' was at 0.5 in that demo with 1.57 million viewers.

On History, 'Curse of Oak Island' had a 0.76 key demo rating with 3.41 million viewers and had the day's best numbers in people 25-54 (1.07). Looking at female-skewing programming, Bravo's 'Below Deck' scored a 0.84 W18-49 rating with 1.67 million viewers, and MTV's 'Challenge: Reckoning Reunion' was at 0.5 in F12-34 with 686,000 viewers; both were on top in their respective demos. Other programs airing include: TBS's 'The Guest Book' (1 million), Motor Trend's 'Bitchin' Rides' (461,000), and USA's 'Real Country' (777,000).

ESPN was the highest-rated cable network during Thanksgiving week, averaging 4.42 million viewers in primetime. Hallmark Channel was propelled to second on the week with 2.62 million viewers, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries leaped to 6th with 1.09 million viewers. In cable news, FOX News was in third at 1.58 million viewers, MSNBC ranked fourth (1.21 million), CNN was 18th (696,000), HLN was 47th (269,000), CNBC took 54th (214,000), and FOX Business ranked 81st (74,000). Other networks averaging over 1 million viewers include USA Network (1.1 million), HGTV (1.06 million), A&E Network (1.05 million), and TBS (1.04 million). 

Monday November 26, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Titans and Texans dominated Monday cable, notching a 3.08 A18-49 rating with 9.74 million viewers. The game also led in all major sub demos: men & women 18-49 (4.36/1.81 ratings), males & females 12-34 (2.92/1.07), people 18-34 (2.39), and people 25-54 (3.65). On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop' scored a 1.31 W18-49 rating with 1.85 million viewers, and 'T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle' was at 0.79 in that demo with 1.13 million viewers. Over on USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' averaged 1.07/1.0/0.94 among M18-49, and 2.61 million/2.38 million/2.11 million among total viewers. 'Teen Mom,' on MTV, had a 0.83 W18-49 rating, a 0.63 F12-34 rating and 1.06 million viewers, while 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.46/0.37 in those demos with 563,000 viewers. Finally, on HBO, 'My Brilliant Friend' found 151,000 viewers. 

Sunday November 25, 2018 Nielsen Finals

The midseason finale of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' took an easy victory on Sunday cable with a 1.96 A18-49 rating and 5.09 million viewers. Per usual, the show led in all major sub demos including: men & women 18-49 (2.02/1.9 ratings), males & females 12-34 (1.03/1.07), people 18-34 (1.12), and people 25-54 (2.44). Lead-out 'Talking Dead' ranked second on the day with its 0.81 rating and 2.29 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' notched a 1.09 W18-49 with 1.86 million viewers, 'Real Housewives of OC' had a 0.85 rating in that demo with 1.51 million viewers, and the series-premiere of scripted drama series 'Dirty John' began with a solid 0.53 and 1.22 million viewers. Over on E!, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' found a 0.82 W18-49 rating with 1.1 million viewers, on Hallmark Channel, movie 'A Shoe Addict's Christmas' scored a 1.02 rating in that demo (2.77 rating in P50+) with 4.24 million viewers, and on Freeform, 'The Truth About Christmas' was at 0.26 in F12-34 with 562,000 viewers. Elsewhere on basic cable was BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (867,000), Oxygen's 'Snapped' (413,000) & 'Snapped: Killer Couples' (474,000) and Nickelodeon's 'Spongebob' (1.34 million). On premium cable, HBO had 'My Brilliant Friend' (244,000), 'Camping' (298,000), & 'Sally4Ever' (152,000), Showtime aired 'Ray Donovan' (989,000), 'Escape at Dannemora' (487,000), & 'Enemies' (136,000). The game was also atop the day in men 18-49 (1.24 rating), males 12-34 (0.83), people 18-34 (0.76), and people 25-54 (1.1). On Hallmark, 'Christmas Everlasting' saw the best W18-49 rating on the day, averaging a 0.78, the best P50+ rating (2.31), the highest viewership (3.52 million), and the second-best in F12-34 (0.52). Other basic cable entires on the day include A&E's 'Live PD' (1.9 million), Animal Planet's 'Pitbulls and Parolees' (749,000), Nickelodeon's 'Henry Danger' (981,000), and Ovation's 'Versailles' (101,000). Finally, on Reelz, 'Murder Made Me Famous' averaged 148,000 viewers, and 'Geraldo Rivera's Murder in the Family' had 185,000. 

Friday November 23, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'College Football' between Oklahoma and West Virginia, topped the Friday cable ratings with an impressive 1.56 A18-49 rating with 5.55 million viewers. The game also scored the best numbers on the day in men 18-49 (2.18 rating), males 12-34 (1.42), people 18-34 (1.12), and people 25-54 (1.8). Hallmark's original movie 'Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe' edged out a victory among women 18-49 (0.99), but ranked second on cable in females 12-34 (0.63), people over 50 (2.5), and total viewers (3.9 million). On A&E, 'Live PD' remained strong among W18-49 (0.66) as well as in total viewers (1.91 million), and on Discovery, 'Gold Rush' saw strength in M18-49 (0.73), P50+ (1.35), and viewers (2.35 million). Other notable programs include: Syfy's 'Z Nation' (448,000) & 'Van Helsing' (354,000), OWN's 'Paynes' (423,000), and HBO's 'Vice' (220,000). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 11/19 - 11/25/2018

ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' topped the social ratings for Thanksgiving week averaging 1.88 million interactions across the three major platforms. 'WWE Monday Night RAW' and 'WWE Smackdown!,' both on USA Network, took the second and fourth spots on the week at 1.67 million and 1.51 million interactions respectively. The '2018 Soul Train Awards' averaged 535,000 interactions, and Monday and Tuesday's episodes of 'The Voice' had 331,000 and 438,000. Finally, among scripted series, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' (570,000) and NBC's 'This Is Us' (428,000) were the only shows to make the top 10 .

Live +3 and Live+7 Ratings: 11/12 - 11/18/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the L+7 raw demo gains for the week ending Nov. 18, rising 1.82 to a 7-day 3.8 adults 18-49 rating. The series also had the third-largest viewership gain, up 5.33 million viewers to 13.81 million. At the top of the viewership gains; however, was 'Manifest' which jumped 5.8 million viewers to 11.9 million within 7 days of delayed viewing. 'Manifest' also had the highest percentage demo gain, rising 138% from 1.14 to a 2.72 rating. A new face was atop the percentage viewership gains, ABC's 'The Rookie,' which leaped 104% from 4.02 million viewers to 8.2 million. Over on the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' ended two weeks of leadership by AMC's 'The Walking Dead,' edging out the latter in raw demo gains, up 1.1 vs. 1.08 in L+3. Among viewership gains, 'Dead' beat everything on cable, gaining 2.44 million viewers to 7.24 million. 

Thursday November 22, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Hallmark's original movie 'Christmas at the Palace' topped a very slow day on Thanksgiving cable, notching a 0.47 A18-49 rating with 3.27 million viewers. The movie also led the day in women 18-49 (0.63 rating), females 12-34 (0.38), people 18-34 (0.3), people 25-54 (0.69), and people over 50 (2.19). On ESPN, a 'College Football' game between Ole Miss and Mississippi State scored solid ratings in both men 18-49 (0.39) and males 12-34 (0.25), as well as 1.12 million total viewers. Over at Lifetime, original movie 'The Christmas Contract' managed a 0.2 rating in W18-49 and a 0.16 in F12-34 with 814,000 viewers, and at Reelz, 'Celebrity Page' had a 0.02 demo score with 64,000 viewers. Finally, WGN America's coverage of the 'McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade' found 114,000 viewers.

Cable Network Ratings: 11/12 - 11/18/2018

ESPN led the ratings among all cable networks for the week ending November 18, averaging 2.44 million viewers in primetime. Fox News took the second spot (2.29 million), MSNBC was in fourth (1.85 million), CNN ninth (1.05 million), HLN 44th (295,000), CNBC 51st (234,000), and Fox Business 74th (92,000). With help from holiday movies, Hallmark Channel's 2.14 million viewers were enough to take the third spot on the week among total viewers. Other networks averaging over 1 million viewers this week include: USA Network (1.19 million), History (1.14 million), HGTV (1.07 million), and A&E (1.05 million). 

Wednesday November 21, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Lakers and Cavaliers topped the Wednesday cable ratings with a 1.4 A18-49 rating and 3.69 million viewers, and the Thunder/Warriors game notched a 1.16 demo rating with 2.89 million viewers. Among men 18-49 and males 12-34, the two games were at 2.02/1.64 and 1.61/1.33 respectively. A Hallmark original movie, 'Reunited at Christmas' scored the day's best rating in people over 50 (1.99), a solid 0.62 in W18-49, and had 2.96 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' averaged a 0.52 W18-49 rating with 923,000 viewers, and 'Real Housewives of Dallas' managed a 0.33 rating in that demo with 629,000 viewers. Finally, on IFC, two episodes of 'Stan Against Evil' were at 0.05/0.04 in the demo and 178,000/141,000 in total viewers.

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 11/12 - 11/18/2018

Univision's coverage of the '19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards' easily topped the week among social media interactions, averaging 4.24 million Thursday night. USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' took the second spot on the week with 2.05 million interactions, and 'WWE Monday Night RAW' was in third with 1.76 million. The 'CMA Awards' on ABC averaged 1.19 million interactions on Wednesday. Scripted series making the list this week include AMC's 'The Walking Dead' (952,000), the CW's 'Riverdale' (542,000), and NBC's 'The Good Place' (511,000). 'Riverdale' was the only program this week to have more of its social media interactions come from Twitter (319,000) over Instagram (220,000). 

Tuesday November 20, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Coverage of 'College Basketball' between Auburn and Duke, on ESPN, topped the Tuesday cable ratings with a 0.79 A18-49 rating with 2.17 million viewers. The game also led the day in men 18-49 (1.15 rating), males 12-34 (0.89), and people 18-34 (0.76). History's 'The Curse of Oak Island' had the day's highest rating in people 25-54 (0.98) as well as the highest viewership on cable (2.91 million). On USA Network, 'WWE Smackdown' notched a 0.85 rating in M18-49 with 2.16 million viewers, and on Comedy Central, 'Tosh.0' had a 0.38 in that demo with 550,000 viewers. Over on Bravo, 'Below Deck' scored the day's best rating among with W18-49 (0.7) with 1.4 million viewers and lead-out 'Flipping Out' had a 0.47 rating in that demo with 1 million viewers. 'The Challenge: Final Reckoning,' on MTV, had a 0.48 F12-34 rating with 736,000 viewers, and TBS's 'The Guest Book' had a 0.21 rating in that demo (0.40 in W18-49) with 1.02 million viewers. Finally, AMC's 'The Little Drummer Girl' managed a 0.04 demo rating with 232,000 viewers.

Bolstered by coverage of the 2018 Midterm Elections, the cable news networks jumped to big numbers in the week ending Nov. 11. Fox News led among all cable networks, averaging 3.36 million viewers in primetime; MSNBC was in third (2.37 million), CNN took fifth (1.71 million), HLN was 47th (270,000), CNBC was 54th (204,000), and Fox Business ranked 63rd (148,000). Other networks averaging over 1 million viewers for the week were ESPN (3.04 million), Hallmark Channel (2.05 million), USA Network (1.16 million), HGTV (1.09 million), and TBS (1.01 million). 

Monday November 19, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' between the Chiefs and Rams absolutely dominated everything else on cable, averaging a huge 5.53 A18-49 rating with 16.61 million viewers. The game led in men & women 18-49 (7.67/3.42 ratings), males & females 12-34 (5.2/2.47), people 18-34 (4.49), and people 25-54 (6.48). Three hours of USA Network's 'WWE Entertainment' notched 1.22/1.13/1.02 ratings in M18-49 and were at 2.72 million/2.5 million/2.26 million total viewers. On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' scored a 1.32 W18-49 rating with 1.93 million viewers, and 'T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle' had a 0.8 rating in that demo with 1.12 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Teen Mom' was at 0.63/0.50 in W18-49 and F12-34 with 792,000 viewers, and 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.37/0.33 in those demos with 490,000 viewers. Finally, on HBO, 'My Brilliant Friend' found 128,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 11/5 - 11/11/2018

In a week without 'This Is Us,' NBC's 'Manifest' returned atop the Live+7 gains for the week ending November 11 in both raw gains and percentage gains. Among raw gains, the show rose 1.48 to a 3.08 rating among adults 18-49 (+148%), and 6.97 million viewers to 13.24 million (+111%). CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' had the second-highest raw demo gain, up 1.68 to 3.98, and ABC's 'The Good Doctor' had the second-highest raw viewership rise, up 6.24 million viewers to 12.81 million. On the cable side, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' again edged out FX's 'American Horror Story' in both L+3 demo and viewership gains. The show rose 1.21 among adults 18-49 to 3.23, and was up 2.62 million viewers to 8.02 million.

Sunday November 18, 2018 Nielsen Finals

'The Walking Dead,' on AMC, topped the Sunday cable ratings, but fell to a new series-low in both the key A18-49 demo (1.8 rating) and total viewers (4.79 million). The program again led in both men & women 18-49 (1.87/1.73 ratings), males & females 12-34 (0.95/0.96), and people 18-34 (1.02) & 25-54 (2.27). A Hallmark original movie, 'Christmas in Evergreen' brought in the best P50+ rating (2.51) and the second-best total viewership (4 million) on cable. Among female-skewing programs, Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' had the second-best W18-49 rating (1.04) and had 1.86 million viewers; E!'s 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' notched a 0.88 rating in that demo with 1.23 million viewers; and TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' had a 0.8 with 1.79 million viewers. Elsewhere on basic cable, two premiere episodes of A&E's 'The Clinton Affair' were marginal at 0.21/0.20 in the demo with 1.1 million/1.04 million viewers, and parts 3 and 4 of Sundance's 'Jonestown' were remarkably stable from yesterday, averaging the same 0.11 demo rating with 437,000 viewers. On premium cable, HBO aired 'Last Week Tonight' (762,000), 'Camping' (273,000), & 'Sally4Ever' (142,000), while Starz had 'Outlander' (861,000). Showtime had 'Ray Donovan' (871,000), 'Escape at Dannemora' (397,000) and 'Enemies' (175,000). 

Saturday November 17, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Hallmark Channel's original movie 'Christmas at Graceland' took victory on a slow cable Saturday with a 0.66 A18-49 rating and 4.66 million viewers. The program also led in women 18-49 (0.96 rating), females 12-34 (0.52), people 25-54 (0.94), and people over 50 (3.2). The top airing of 'College Football' on the day belonged to Fox Sports 1's coverage of Indiana vs. Michigan which had a 0.86 M18-49 rating, a 0.54 in M12-34, a 0.45 in P18-34, and 2.27 million viewers. Parts 1 and 2 of Sundance's 'Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle' brought in impressive numbers for the low-rated net, averaging a 0.11 rating with 418,000 viewers, and the second part of Showtime's 'Shut Up and Dribble' had 95,000 viewers. Finally, Ovation's 'Versailles' was a speck at 0.01 in the demo with 93,000 viewers. 

Friday November 16, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Raptors and Celtics topped the Friday cable ratings with a 0.73 A18-49 rating and 1.82 million viewers. The lead-out game between the Bulls and Bucks had a 0.71 rating with 1.7 million viewers. The two games were at 1.1/1.04 ratings in men 18-49, 0.85/0.87 in males 12-34, and 0.69/0.71 in adults 18-34. On Discovery, 'Gold Rush' saw big numbers in M18-49 (0.75 rating), P50+ (1.34) and total viewers (2.38 million). Over at MTV, three episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.20/0.19/0.22 in W18-49, 0.18/0.19/0.20 in F12-34, and 532,000/560,000/613,000 in total viewers. Elsewhere, Syfy aired 'Z Nation' (531,000) and 'Van Helsing' (359,000), and Disney Channel had new episodes of 'Andi Mack' (894,000), 'Coop & Cami Ask the World' (834,000), and 'Raven's Home' (814,000). On premium cable, HBO aired 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (1.51 million) and two episodes of 'Room 104' (220,000/179,000), while Cinemax had 'Tales from the Tour Bus' (47,000).

The game also walked to easy victories among men 18-49 (1.37 rating), males 12-34 (0.79), and people 25-54 (1.15). On MTV, 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' topped the day in women 18-49 (0.85), females 12-34 (0.79), and people 18-34 (0.79), averaging a robust 1.21 million viewers. A 'Jersey Shore: Friendsgiving' special was ay 0.45 in the demo, 0.54 in W18-49, 0.52 in W18-49 & F12-34, and had 786,000 viewers. Over at Bravo, 'Shah's of Sunset' notched a 0.42 W18-49 rating with 842,000 viewers, while on TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' managed 0.28 in that demo with 564,000 viewers. Finally, two episodes of Sundance's 'Deutschland 86' airing early Friday morning at 12am and 1am, were at 0.02/0.01 in the demo and 100,000/45,000 in viewership.

ESPN's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Blazers and Lakers took victory on Wednesday cable with a 0.96 A18-49 rating and 2.07 million viewers. The game also had big returns in men 18-49 (1.45 rating), males 12-34 (1.05), and people 18-34 (0.88) & 25-54 (0.96) - leading cable in each of those demos. On FX, 'American Horror Story' led the day in both women 18-49 (0.87), and females 12-34 (0.74), averaging 1.83 million viewers overall. Over at Bravo, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' was relatively strong at 0.64 in the W18-49 demo with 1.02 million viewers, but lead-out 'Real Housewives of Dallas' dropped to 0.36 in that demo with 599,000 viewers. Comedy Central's 'South Park' averaged 824,000 viewers, and out-delivered in male viewers over female viewers by a factor of about 3:1, scoring 0.74/0.27 ratings respectively among 18-49, and 0.64/0.22 among 12-34s. Finally, two episodes of IFC's 'Stan Against Evil' were at 0.05/0.04 in the demo and at 147,000/128,000 in viewers.

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' dominated the Tuesday cable ratings averaging a 0.80 A18-49 rating with 2.31 million viewers. The program also led the day in men 18-49 (1.0 rating), males 12-34 (0.65), and people 18-34 (0.55). On History, 'The Curse the Oak Island' returned to a 0.66 A18-49 rating with 2.92 million viewers, and brought in solid numbers in M18-49 (0.83), adults 25-54 (0.97), and adults 50+ (1.72). Over at Bravo, 'Below Deck' led the day in the W18-49 demo (0.67) and had 1.35 million viewers, while at MTV, 'Challenge: Final Reckoning' led in F12-34 (0.52) and had 828,000 viewers. Elsewhere, TLC's 'The Little Couple', Bravo's 'Flipping Out' (827,000), and TBS's 'The Guest Book' were at 0.40/0.37/0.31 in W18-49 respectively, and at 1.35 million/827,000/864,000 in total viewers.

NBC's 'This is Us' topped the L+7 raw demo gains for the week ending November 4, rising 1.71 to a 3.82 rating in adults 18-49, and ranked second in raw viewership gains, up 5.15 million viewers to 14.04 million. ABC's 'The Good Doctor' rose 5.87 million viewers to 12.66 million, taking the top spot among viewership gains. Among percentage gains, 'A Million Little Things,' on ABC, led in both the demo and viewership gains. The show was up 129% from 0.79 to a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49, and up 102% from 3.31 million viewers to 6.67 million. In L+3 cable ratings, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' led in demo gains (+1.16) and viewership gains (+2.63 million) over FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (+1.08/+2.12 million), breaking 'Horror's' 2-week streak on-top of cable.

The awards show averaged approximately 5.27 million interactions, with the vast majority coming from Instagram (3.44 million). USA Network's 'WWE Monday Night RAW' slid into the second spot with 1.75 million interactions, while 'WWE Smackdown' ranked fourth with 1.24 million. The CW's 'Riverdale' was the top scripted series on the week with 1.5 million interactions, with AMC's 'The Walking Dead' (724,000) and ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' (474,000) rounding out scripted entires.

Elsewhere in basic cable was BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (710,000/0.37 in P50+), Lifetime's 'You' (526,000/0.28 in W18-49), and the series-finale of TNT's 'The Last Ship' (1.15 million/0.78 rating in P50+).  'The 2018 People's Choice Awards' averaged a combined 1.68 million viewers and a 0.59 A18-49 rating across the five networks it aired on. On premium cable, HBO aired new episodes of 'Last Week Tonight' (782,000), 'Camping' (246,000) & the premiere of 'Sally4Ever' (165,000); Showtime had 'Ray Donovan' (868,000), 'The Circus' (238,000), & the season finale of 'Kidding' (224,000); and Starz had 'Outlander' (870,000). 

Saturday November 10, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'College Football,' between Auburn and Georgia, took an easy victory on Saturday cable with a 1.24 A18-49 rating and 3.99 million viewers. The game also led in men 18-49 (1.59 rating), males 12-34 (0.94), and adults 18-34 (0.84) & 25-54 (1.51). On Hallmark Channel, original movie 'It's Christmas Eve' led in W18-49 (0.93), F12-34 (0.55), people over 50 (2.79), and total viewers (4.17 million). Elsewhere, Animal Planet aired 'Pitbulls and Parolees' (599,000), Oxygen had 'Criminal Confessions' (399,000), Nickelodeon had 'Henry Danger' (1.1 million), and Reelz aired 'Murder Made Me Famous' (178,000). Among low-rated cables was Showtime's 'Shut Up and Dribble' (108,000), Ovation's 'Versailles' (118,000), and TeenNick's 'Fresh Artist' (70,000). 

Friday November 9, 2018 Nielsen Finals

A&E's 'Live PD' topped the Friday cable ratings, notching a 0.61 A18-49 rating with 1.78 million viewers. The program led the day in women 18-49 (0.65 rating) and females 12-34 (0.42). On Discovery, 'Gold Rush' ranked second in the day in the key demo (0.59), led the day in adults 25-54 (0.81), and averaged 2.44 million viewers. Over on ESPN, an 'NBA Basketball' between the Celtics and Jazz, took victory in both men 18-49 (0.86) & males 12-34 (0.66), averaging 1.35 million viewers. On MTV, three episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.29/0.28/0.24 in W18-49, 0.25/0.27/0.23 in F12-34, and 603,000/658,000/568,000 in total viewers. Disney Channel aired new episodes of 'Raven's Home' (849,000), 'Andi Mack' (843,000), and 'Coop & Cami Ask the World' (657,000), while Syfy had 'Z Nation' (457,000) and 'Van Helsing' (416,000). On premium cable, HBO had 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (1.69 million), and two episodes of 'Room 104' (216,000/147,000), and Cinemax aired a new episode of 'Tales from the Tour Bus' (76,000).

Thursday November 8, 2018 Nielsen Finals

The 'Thursday Night Football' simulcast, on NFL Network, led Thursday cable in the adults 18-49 demo (1.04 rating), as well as in men 18-49 (1.46), people 25-54 (1.29), and men 12-34 (0.82). The game also averaged 2.83 million viewers (in addition to 14.75 million on FOX). MTV's 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' took easy victories in both women 18-49 (0.96) & females 12-34 (0.81), and averaged 1.28 million viewers. Two lead-out episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' were at 0.45/0.43 in W18-49, 0.39/0.40 in F12-34, and 617,000/564,000 in total viewers. TNT aired two 'NBA Basketball' games, Bucks/Warriors & Rockets/Thunder, which were at 0.86/0.49 in M18-49, 0.65/0.39 in F12-34, and 1.57 million/1.12 million viewers. Elsewhere, Bravo's 'Shah's of Sunset' had a 0.45 W18-49 rating with 1.01 million viewers, and on TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was at 0.29/0.26 in M/W18-49 with 535,000 viewers. Finally, Sundance's 'Deutschland 86' had 0.02/92,000, and two season premiere episodes of IFC's 'Baroness Von Sketch Show' were at 0.04/0.03 in the demo and at 93,000/66,000 in total viewers. 

Wednesday November 7, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between Minnesota and the Los Angeles Lakers took victory on Wednesday cable with a 1.01 A18-49 rating and 2.21 million viewers. The game also led the day in men 18-49 (1.54 rating), males 12-34 (1.18), and people 18-34 & 25-54 (1.0). On FX, 'American Horror Story' led all programming in women 18-49 (0.83), ranked second in females 12-34 (0.58), and had 1.65 million viewers, while on VH1 'Black Ink Crew' took the top spot in F12-34 (0.62), ranked second in W18-49 (0.82), and had 1.07 million viewers. Over at Comedy Central, 'South Park' was at 0.67/0.57 in M18-49/M12-34 with 826,000 viewers, and at Bravo, 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' notched 0.67/0.36 in those corresponding female demos with 1.19 million viewers. Elsewhere, TBS's 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' scored a 0.34 in W18-49 with 956,000 viewers, and MTV's 'Are You the One?' was at 0.43 in F12-34 with 480,000 viewers. Finally, on Pop, the series-premiere of 'Clique' was abysmal at a dead zero in adults 18-49 and just 11,000 viewers. 

Tuesday November 6, 2018 Nielsen Finals

CNN led all 8pm-12am midterm election coverage in both the adults 18-49 demographic (1.68 rating) and in adults 25-54 (1.97). FOX News was in second averaging 1.26 in A18-49 and 1.86 in A25-54, and MSNBC was in a distant third at 0.84 and 1.09 in those demos. Among total viewers, FOX News led the cable news nets among total viewers (7.35 million), CNN ranked second (4.73 million), and MSNBC was in third (4.66 million). Outside of midterm coverage, FX's 'Mayans MC' tied last week's number in the key demo (0.49 rating) and actually grew among total viewers (1.31 million). On Bravo, 'Below Deck' notched a 0.68 W18-49 rating with 1.32 million viewers, on MTV, 'The Challenge: Final Reckoning' averaged a 0.52 in that demo with 672,000 viewers, and  on OWN, 'The Haves and Have Notes' was at 0.49 with 1.72 million viewers. Finally, on TBS, 'The Guest Book' was at 0.33/0.27 in M/W18-49 and found 945,000 viewers. 

Monday November 5, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' dominated the Monday cable ratings with a 3.92 A18-49 rating and 11.79 million viewers. The game led in men & women 18-49 (5.27, 2.58 ratings), males & females 12-34 (3.48, 1.87), and people 18-34 (3.2) & 25-54 (4.71). On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop' notched a 1.52 W18-49 rating with 2.08 million viewers, and 'T.I. and Tiny: Family Hustle' averaged a 0.96 in that demo with 1.35 million viewers. Over at USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' had 1.2/1.11/0.94 ratings in M18-49 and 2.64 million/2.5 million/2.18 million in total viewers. MTV's 'Teen Mom' scored a 0.72 rating in W18-49, a 0.59 in F12-34, and 843,000 viewers, while 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.43/0.39 in those demos with 508,000 viewers. Finally, on Bravo, 'Real Housewives of OC' had a 0.8 W18-49 rating with 1.34 million viewers, and on TBS, 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' had a 0.19 F12-34 rating with 627,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/22 - 10/28/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' led the week in L+7 raw demo gains, jumping 1.79 to 3.94 in adults 18-49, and up 5.5 million viewers to 14.03 million - second on the week. For the fifth week in a row, 'Manifest' took the top spot among raw viewership gains, rising 6.33 million viewers to 13.63 million in 7-day delayed viewing. In percentage demo gains, CBS's 'Criminal Minds' made an unusual appearance atop the list, up 152% from 0.66 to 1.67; ABC's 'How to Get Away with Murder' was just behind, rising 126% from 0.69 to 1.55. Finally, in percentage viewership gains, CW's 'Legends of Tomorrow' more than doubled its same-day performance, jumping from 996,000 viewers to 2.03 million. On the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' narrowly beat out AMC's 'Walking Dead' in L+3 demo gains, rising 1.1 compared to 1.07.

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/29 - 11/4/2018

USA Network's 'WWE Monday Night RAW' and 'WWE Smackdown' took the top two spots for the week in terms of social media interactions. On Monday the 29th, 'RAW' totaled 1.64 million interactions across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; and on Tuesday, 'Smackdown' had approximately 1.19 million. Both were heavy on Instagram. The only two scripted series to make the list this week were AMC's 'The Walking Dead' (1.06 million) and ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' (386,000). 'Anatomy' saw heavy interaction on Instagram (266K) while 'Dead' saw slight more on Twitter (503K). NBC's 'A Very Wicked Halloween' special squeaked onto the list ranked at number 10, totaling 369,000 interactions.

Sunday November 4, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's much-hyped episode of 'The Walking Dead' took an easy victory on Sunday cable, notching a 2.07 A18-49 rating with 5.41 million total viewers. The show was remarkable even between men & women 18-49 (2.06/2.08 ratings) and 12-34 (1.07/1.08), but found its best numbers in adults 25-54 (2.58 rating). 'Talking Dead' had an even 1.0 in the key demo with 2.7 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' scored the day's second-best W18-49 rating (1.08) and had 1.93 million viewers; lead-out 'Married to Medicine' averaged a 0.70 in that demo with 1.38 million viewers. Other programs robust in female viewership include E!'s 'Keeping Up with Kardashians' (0.82 in W18-49, 0.72 in F12-34) and TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' (0.79/0.55); those two shows were at 1.13 million & 1.76 million viewers respectively. Other notable basic cable offerings include: BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (685,000/0.20), TNT's 'The Last Ship' (1.13 milion/0.20), and Lifetime's 'You' (470,000/0.14). On premium cable, Starz saw the fourth-season premiere of 'Outlander' whose 1.08 million viewers were on par with its 2016 second-season numbers, but lower than any episode last year. Elsewhere, HBO aired 'Last Week Tonight' (648,000), 'The Deuce' (387,000), & 'Camping' (265,000), and Showtime had 'Ray Donovan' (732,000), 'Kidding' (152,000), 'The Circus' (227,000), and the return of 'Our Cartoon President' (108,000). 

Saturday November 3, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'College Football' took the top three spots on an otherwise slow day on Saturday cable. The Penn State/Michigan game led the day with a 1.25 A18-49 rating and 4.25 million viewers. The game scored cable-best numbers in men & women 18-49 (1.7, 0.8 ratings), males & females 12-34 (1.19, 0.56), and both people 18-34 (0.97) & 25-54 (1.44). On Hallmark Channel, original movie 'Christmas Joy' ranked first in adults over 50 (2.28), ranked second in both the W18-49 (0.74) & F12-34 (0.42) demos, and averaged 3.37 million viewers. A&E, 'Live PD' was third in 18-49 (0.57) and had 1.8 million viewers. Finally, Ovation's 'Versailles' remained low at 0.02 in the demo and 139,000 viewers. 'Inside Versailles' did not air on TV.

Friday November 2, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Timberwolves and Warriors led a low-rated Friday on cable, notching a 0.81 A18-49 rating with 1.98 million viewers. The game led in men 18-49 (1.19 rating), males & females 12-34 (0.86, 0.33), and people 18-34 (0.69) & 25-54 (0.86). Coverage of the Thunder/Wizards game managed a 0.8 in M18-49, a 0.58 in M12-34, and 1.36 million viewers. On A&E, 'Live PD' led cable in the W18-49 demo (0.59) and averaged 1.79 million viewers. Discovery's 'Gold Rush' ranked second in the A25-54 demo (0.76), and was robust in people over 50 (1.22) and total viewers (2.16 million). Over at MTV, two episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.24/0.33 in W18-49, 0.20/0.29 in F12-34, and 537,000/694,000 in total viewers. On Syfy, both 'Z Nation' (457,000/0.11) and 'Van Helsing' (457,000/0.10) remained relatively stable, and on HBO, 'Pod Save America' finished its run with 382,000 viewers. Finally, the second season premiere of Cinemax's 'Tales from the Tour Bus' tied its series-low in the demo (0.01), but fell to a new low in viewership (31,000), down from its first season finale back in Nov. 2017 (45K).

Thursday November 1, 2018 Nielsen Finals

MTV's 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' overtook NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' to win Thursday cable. The reality show averaged a 0.76 A18-49 rating with 1.26 million viewers, including dominant performances in women 18-49 (0.92 rating), females 12-34 (0.84), and people 18-34 (0.82). Behind 'Shore' was two episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' which both averaged 0.40 in F12-34 and 0.42 in W18-49 and were at 583,000/562,000 in total viewers. 'Thursday Night Football' averaged just a 0.75 rating with 2.15 million viewers, but led cable in men 18-49 (1.04), and people 25-54 (0.93). TNT coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Bucks and Celtics led all of cable in the males 12-34 demo (0.59), notched a solid 0.74 in M18-49, and averaged 1.28 million viewers. The Pelicans/Blazers game was at 0.53/0.69 in those demos respectively with 1.08 million viewers. A&E's 'Live PD' had a 0.41 in W18-49 with 1.2 million viewers, while Bravo's 'Shahs of Sunset' pulled a 0.39 in that demo with 894,000 viewers. Elsewhere, 'Impractical Jokers,' on TruTV, had 502,000 viewers and 'Deutschland 86,' on SundanceTV, had 149,000. 

Wednesday October 31, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Perhaps fittingly, FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' led the Halloween cable ratings, averaging a 0.74 A18-49 rating with 1.63 million viewers. The show also led cable in women 18-49 (0.76 rating), females 12-34 (0.54), and both people 18-34 (0.64) & 25-54 (0.82). TNT's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Pacers and Knicks led in both men 18-49 (0.89) & males 12-34 (0.63) and averaged 1.37 million viewers. The Spurs/Suns game was at 0.67/0.48 in those demos with 1.07 million viewers. On VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' ranked second in both the W18-49 demo (0.65) & F12-34 demo (0.51) with 989,000 viewers. Other female-skewing shows include both Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Dallas' and OWN's 'Greenleaf' which were at 0.27/0.26 respectively in W18-49 and 564,000/1.18 million in total viewers. Comedy Central's 'South Park' was at 0.62/0.32 in M/W18-49, 0.48/0.29 in M/F12-34 and averaged 842,000 viewers. Four hours of Travel Channel's 'Ghost Adventures Live' were remarkably strong, ranging from 0.32 to 0.37 in the demo and from 823,000 to 970,000 in total viewers. Over at FXX, 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' hit a three-week high in the demo (0.19) and total viewers (323,000), while at IFC, the two season-premiere episodes of 'Stan Against Evil' were at 105,000 & 110,000 viewers, down from the show's second season finale back in Nov. 2017 (189K/173K).

Tuesday October 30, 2018 Nielsen Finals

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' took victory on Tuesday cable with a 0.73 A18-49 rating with 2.11 million viewers. The program brought in cable-bests in men 18-49 (0.92 rating), males 12-34 (0.56 rating), and people 25-54 (0.88). 'The Purge' was relatively even between the demos though skewed slightly female (0.38/0.36 in 18-49), and had 917,000 viewers. MTV's 'The Challenge: Final Reckoning' led the day in people 18-34 (0.53) and females 12-34 (0.48), averaging 788,000 viewers overall. The penultimate episode of FX's 'Mayans M.C.' was up a tick from last week's season-low to 0.49 in the demo (0.61 in M18-49) with 1.23 million viewers. Over on Bravo, 'Below Deck' led cable in the W18-49 demo (0.62) and averaged 1.39 million viewers, 'Flipping Out' was at 0.34 in that demo with 780,000k and on OWN, 'The Haves and Have Nots' had 0.46 in with 1.83 million viewers. Finally, on Syfy, 'Channel Zero' saw notable growth, up to 0.06 with 257,000 viewers. 

Monday October 29, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' topped the Monday cable ratings averaging a 3.54 A18-49 rating with 10.85 million viewers. The game also led the day in both men & women 18-49 (4.94, 2.15 ratings), males & females 12-34 (3.36, 1.43 ratings), and people 18-34 & 25-54 (2.84, 4.87). On USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' were at 1.23/1.08/1.00 in M18-49 and at 2.72 million/2.46 million/2.24 million in total viewers. Over at VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop' took the second spot on the day in the W18-49 demo (1.21) while 'T.I and Tiny: Family Hustle' ranked third (0.80); in total viewers those two shows were at: 1.86 million and 1.34 million. Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' was at 0.75/0.41 in W18-49/F12-34 with 1.35 million viewers, and On MTV 'Teen Mom' notched 0.72/0.61 in those demos and 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' had 0.45/0.44. On Syfy, 'Channel Zero' tumbled down to a 0.04 in the demo with 173,000 viewers, and the finale of Paramount's 'Heathers' had 0.02 with 68,000 viewers. 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/15 - 10/21/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' took victory for the week in L+7 raw demo gains, rising 1.79 to an even 4.0 among adults 18-49. 'Us' barely edged out 'Manifest' for the top spot on the week as that show was up 1.75 in the demo to 3.24. 'Manifest' did; however, take an easy win in raw viewership gains, rising 6.88 million viewers to 14.35 million, averaging more than 1 million more +7 viewers than second-ranked 'The Good Doctor' which jumped 5.76 million to 12.44 million. The CW's 'Riverdale' topped the demo percentage gains for the week, rising 145% from 0.42 to 1.02, just ahead of the 136% gain by 'A Million Little Things' which rose from 0.77 to 1.81. Among viewership percentage gains, those two shows flip-flopped with 'A Million Little Things' taking the top spot, up 104% from 3.34 million to 6.82 million, and the 'Riverdale' up 100% from 1.28 million to 2.55 million. In cable L+3 ratings for the week, FX's 'American Horror Story' beat out AMC's 'The Walking Dead' in raw demo gains, up 1.2 vs. 1.06. 

Sunday October 28, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' topped the Sunday cable ratings averaging a 1.95 A18-49 rating with 5.1 million total viewers. The game led the cable in men & women 18-49 (1.97, 1.93 ratings), females 12-34 (1.08), and both people 18-34 and 25-54 (1.18/2.41). NFL Network's morning coverage of Philadelphia vs. Jacksonville in London led in males 12-34 (1.14) and averaged 3.59 million viewers. In female-skewing programming, TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' notched a 0.93 W18-49 rating with 1.85 million viewers, 'Unexpected' had a 0.49 in that demo with 1.03 million viewers, E!'s 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' had a 0.68 with 878,000 viewers, and Bravo's 'Married to Medicine' was at 0.58 with 1.07 million viewers. Also airing on ad-supported scripted cable was TNT's 'The Last Ship' (1.12 million/0.23), BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (900,000/0.32), Lifetime's 'You' (488,000/0.14), and Syfy's 'Channel Zero' (273,000/0.10), the latter of which saw nice recovery from the previous day's low. Premium cable saw Showtime's 'Kidding' (179,000), 'The Circus' (238,000), and the season premiere of Showtime's 'Ray Donovan' (805,000) which returned to its lowest viewership ever. HBO aired 'Last Week Tonight' (918,000), 'The Deuce' (480,000), and 'Camping' (384,000).

USA Network's 'WWE Monday Night RAW' led all of television among social media interactions for the week ending Oct. 28. The program averaging north of 4.15 million interactions, inclined 2.22 million from Instagram and 1.46 million from Twitter. On Telemundo, the 'Latin American Music Awards' averaged 3.9 million interactions, more than three times that of third-ranked 'WWE Smackdown' (1.26 million). Elsewhere, CW's 'Riverdale' (523,000), AMC's 'The Walking Dead' (323,000), and FX's 'American Horror Story' (300,000) all were Twitter-heavy this week: 308K, 145K, 164K.

Saturday October 27, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of the Iowa/Penn State 'College Football' game led a slow Saturday on cable, averaging a 0.78 A18-49 rating with 3.27 million viewers. The game also topped the men 18-49 demo (1.01 rating) and the adults 25-54 demo (0.97). The Purdue/Michigan State game led cable in males 12-34 (0.67) and adults 18-34 (0.61). A Hallmark original movie, 'Christmas at Pemberley Manor' led cable in women 18-49 (0.79 rating), females 12-34 (0.47), adults over 50 (2.33), and total viewers (3.57 million). Syfy's 'Channel Zero' lost 0.04 from yesterday's premiere, but stayed consistent in viewership (324,000), while two episodes of Paramount's 'Heathers' were both up from yesterday, to 141,000 & 94,000. Over at OWN, 'Ready to Love' tumbled to 0.06 from Tuesday's premiere, and lost over 500K viewers to 246,000. Finally, Ovation's 'Versailles' remained stable week-to-week in the demo, but dropped 100K viewers, to 121,000; the after-show ticked up to 0.01 in the demo with 49,000 viewers. 

Friday October 26, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Discovery's 'Gold Rush' topped the Friday cable ratings with a 0.64 A18-49 rating and 2.23 million viewers. The show led the day in men 18-49 (0.84 rating), adults 25-54 (0.85), and tied for first in males 12-34 (0.35). A&E's 'Live PD' took the top spot on the day in women 18-49 (0.62), females 12-34 (0.35), and adults 18-34 (0.4), averaging 1.73 million viewers overall. Two episodes of MTV's 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.23/0.26 in W18-49, 0.23/0.25 in F12-34, and 532,000/596,000 in total viewers. On Syfy, 'Z Nation' notched a 0.13 rating with 400,000 viewers, 'Van Helsing' had a 0.10 with 416,000 viewers, and the season premiere of 'Channel Zero' had 0.10 with 322,000 viewers, up a tick in the demo from its third-season finale back in March (0.09), but down slightly in viewership (335,000). Elsewhere on the scripted side, Disney Channel's 'Raven's Home' had 783,000 viewers and 'Coop & Cami Ask the World' had 650,000. Finally, on HBO, 'Real Time with Bill Maher' scored 1.55 million viewers, 'Pod Save America' had 415,000, and 'Tracey Ullman's Show' had 154,000.

The game led in men 18-49 (1.31 rating), males 12-34 (1.02), adults 18-34 (0.89), and adults 25-54 (0.87). Lead-in game, Celtics/Thunder had a 0.85 M18-49 rating, a 0.68 M12-34 rating, and 1.48 million viewers. NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' took the second spot on the day with a 0.79 A18-49 rating (1.13 M18-49 rating) and 2.25 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' scored cable's best numbers in both the W18-49 demo (0.91) and F12-34 demo (0.78), averaging 1.25 million total viewers. Two episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far,' also on MTV, were at 0.53/0.44 in W18-49, 0.45/0.37 in F12-34, and at 606,000/557,000 in viewers. On TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was mediocre at 0.24/448,000, and on Bravo, 'Shahs of Sunset' performed well in W18-49 (0.34) and ok in viewers (792,000). Finally, the long-awaited premiere of Sundance's 'Deutschland 86,' the follow-up from 2015's 'Deutschland 83' found a 0.03 A18-49 rating and 98,000 viewers at midnight. 

Top U.S. Shows for African-Americans: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' led the week ending Oct. 7 in African-American (AA) viewing. The game averaged a 16.4 rating in that demo, equating to 3.504 million AA viewers. FOX's 'Empire' impressively brought in that same rating, but was slightly lower in AA viewership (3.383 million). Lead-out 'Star,' had a 13.5 AA rating, equating to 2.816 million viewers of that demo. 

'Thursday Night Football,' also on FOX, ranked fourth on the week with an 11.6 rating and 2.322 million AA viewers. Finally, both of CBS's new Monday comedies, 'The Neighborhood' and 'Happy Together' made the top 10 this week. 'Neighborhood' averaged a 6.9 rating, while 'Happy' notched a 5.6. In viewers, those two ratings equate to 1.351 million and 1.107 million AA viewers respectively.

Wednesday October 24, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' took victory on Wednesday cable with a 0.90 A18-49 rating and 1.85 million viewers. The show led all of cable in women 18-49 (0.98 rating), females 12-34 (0.78), adults 18-34 (0.83), and adults 25-54 (0.89). It also tied ESPN's 76ers/Bucks 'NBA Basketball' game in the men 18-49 demo (both 0.82). That game ranked second on the day in the A18-49 demo (0.56 rating), but led the day in the males 12-34 demo (0.67). On VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' ranked second on the day in both W18-49 (0.71) and F12-34 (0.5), delivering 1.04 million total viewers. Over at MTV, 'Are You the One?' averaged a 0.41 rating in the W18-49 demo, a 0.42 in the F12-34 demo, and 483,000 viewers, and at Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Dallas' notched a 0.39/0.22 in those demos with 673,000 viewers. TBS's 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' saw a very slight male skew in both the 18-49 demo (0.30/0.29) and 12-34 demo (0.12/0.11), and averaged 863,000 viewers. Finally, El Rey's 'Lucha Underground' had 80,000 viewers.

Tuesday October 23, 2018 Nielsen Finals

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' topped the Tuesday cable ratings with a 0.69 A18-49 rating with 2.09 million viewers. The program also led in men 18-49 (0.88 rating), adults 18-34 (0.54), males 12-34 (0.56), and adults 25-54 (0.81). Lead-out 'The Purge' had a 0.32 rating with 931,000 viewers, and on FX, 'Mayans M.C.' had a 0.48 in the demo with 1.22 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Below Deck' led the day in the W18-49 demo (0.66 rating) and averaged 1.39 million viewers, and on MTV, 'Challenge: Final Reckoning' led in the F12-34 demo (0.5), took second in the W18-49 demo (0.59) and averaged 755,000 viewers. Other female-skewing shows include OWN's 'The Haves and Have Nots' which notched a 0.43 W18-49 rating with 1.73 million viewers, and Lifetime's 'Married at First Sight Reunion' which had a 0.47 in that demo with 964,000 viewers. Finally, the season premiere of 'The Guest Book' found a 0.32 rating with 982,000 viewers at 10pm, but lost a tenth down to 0.22 with 694,000 at 10:30p.m. 

Cable Network Ratings: 10/15 - 10/21/2018

Coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' propelled FOX Sports 1 to the top of the cable networks among primetime viewership for the week ending Oct. 21, 2018. The net averaged 3.07 million viewers over the course of the week, 400K more viewers than TBS Network which aired the 'MLB ALCS.' Although the ALCS games, on average, saw higher viewership than the NLCS games, the former series only lasted five games while the latter lasted a full seven games. Elsewhere, ESPN (2.64 million) ranked just ahead of FOX News (2.61 million) though both averaged more than 1 million viewers more than fifth-ranked TNT, itself bolstered by NBA coverage. MSNBC ranked sixth on the week (1.47 million), CNN 13th (850,000), HLN 46th (257,000), CNBC 55th (195,000), and FOX Business 69th (111,000). Other networks to average over 1 million viewers in primetime include USA Network (1.24 million), Hallmark (1.18 million), and HGTV (1.17 million).

Monday October 22, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Giants and Falcons topped the Monday cable ratings, averaging a 3.45 A 18-49 rating with 10.33 million viewers. The game was the top draw on cable in both men & women 18-49 (4.96/1.96 ratings), males & females 12-34 (3.4/1.26), adults 18-34 (2.78) and adults 25-54 (4.08). Three hours of 'WWE Entertainment,' on USA Network, were at 1.18/1.22/1.11 ratings in M18-49 and at 2.61 million/2.62 million/2.41 million total viewers. Over at VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' averaged the second-highest W18-49 rating of the day (1.31) with 'T.I. and Tiny: Family Hustle' ranking third (0.99), and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' taking fourth (0.80); in total viewers the three shows were at 1.74 million, 1.38 million, and 1.44 million. On MTV, 'Teen Mom' was at 0.74/0.58 ratings in the W18-49/F12-34 demos and 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.55/0.44; in total viewers the two shows had 872,000 & 608,000 respectively. Finally, on Disney Channel, 'Andi Mack' averaged a 0.31 F12-34 rating with 686,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the raw demo L+7 gains for the week ending Oct. 14, jumping 1.88 to 4.17. In viewership gains, the show ranked third, rising 5.68 million viewers to 14.6 million. 'Manifest' took victory in raw viewership gains for the third consecutive week, up almost 7.4 million viewers to 14.85 million, almost 1.5 million more +7 viewers than second-ranked 'The Good Doctor' (up 5.96 million). 'Manifest' also topped viewership percentage gains, up 99% from its Live+same day total of 7.47 million. 'The Good Doctor' topped the demo percentage gains, rising 133% from 1.08 to 2.52 (+1.44). On cable, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' topped the L+3 gains, leaping 1.25 in the demo to 3.23, and up 2.76 million viewers to 7.71 million. FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' ranked second in demo gains (+1.2, +2.44M), 'Mayans M.C.' took third (+0.69, +1.65M), and the season finale of 'Better Call Saul' was in fourth (+0.48, +1.39M). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/15 - 10/21/2018

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' and 'WWE Monday Night RAW' dominated the social ratings for the week ending Oct. 21 drawing over a combined 3.2 million interactions. 'Smackdown' led the week with its 1.75 million interactions, while 'RAW' saw 1.5 million; both were heavy on Instagram (1.29 million/1.1 million respectively). ABC's Wednesday episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' took the third spot on the week. Guests Cardi B and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gave the show over 1.13 million interactions on social media, including over 1.1 million just from Instagram. Other shows making the list this week were FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (721,000), CW's 'Riverdale' (691,000) & 'The Flash' (345,000), and NBC's 'This Is Us' (279,000). 

Sunday October 21, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' topped the Sunday cable ratings with a 1.93 A18-49 rating and 5.04 million viewers. While down from last week in the demo (1.98), this week was up in total viewers. The show was virtually even among men and women 18-49 (1.93 women, 1.92 men), but skewed a bit more female in the 12-34s (1.13 vs 0.96). 'Talking Dead' ranked second on the day with a 0.64 key demo rating and 1.87 million viewers. On TLC, '90 Day FiancÄ—' took the second spot on the day in both W18-49 (0.83 rating) and F12-34 (0.53), and 'Unexpected' ranked fourth in the former demo (0.61) and third in the latter (0.46); the two shows averaged 1.78 million & 1.2 million viewers respectively. Over at Lifetime, 'You' had a 0.21 W18-49 rating with 623,000 viewers while Bravo's 'Married to Medicine' scored a 0.55 in that demo with 1.05 million viewers. On premium cable, HBO aired 'The Deuce' (446,000) & 'Camping' (404,000), Showtime aired 'Shameless' (1 million), 'Kidding' (192,000), & 'The Circus' (275,000), and Starz aired 'Warriors of Liberty' (84,000) & 'America to Me' (31,000). Other shows of note include BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (808,000), and TNT's 'The Last Ship' (1.3 million). 

Saturday October 20, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Game 7 of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers, on FS1, did not disappoint in the ratings. The game averaged a 1.82 A18-49 rating with 7.34 million viewers, higher than everything on broadcast, and beat ESPN's Lakers/Rockets game in the M18-49 demo (2.42 vs. 2.13), tying in the M12-34 demo (1.71). The game averaged a 30.7 rating in Milwaukee and a 15.9 rating in Los Angeles. The aforementioned 'NBA Basketball' game ranked second on the day with a 1.48 key demo rating and 3.36 million viewers. The highest-rated 'College Football' game on the day belonged to ESPN's coverage of Mississippi State and LSU which found a 0.85 rating (1.08 in M18-49, 0.73 in M12-34) with 3.11 million viewers. A&E's 'Live PD' remained strong at 0.56 with 1.73 million viewers, and Freeform's 'Hocus Locus 25th Anniversary' special scored well in women 18-49 (0.59), females 12-34 (0.51), and total viewers (1.4 million). Elsewhere, the Hallmark original movie 'Love, of Course' averaged a 0.44 rating in adults 25-54 (1.87 rating in folks over 50) with a sizable 2.56 million viewers. Finally, Ovation's 'Versailles' found 102,000 viewers. 

Friday October 19, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FS1's coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers led everything on Friday cable, notching a 1.47 A 18-49 rating with 5.78 million viewers. The game led all of television in men 18-49 (2.02 rating), males 12-34 (1.36) and adults 18-34 (1.15) as well as topped cable in women 18-49 (0.93), females 12-34 (0.58), and adults 25-54 (1.71). 'NBA Basketball' on TNT ranked second and third on the cable, with the Warriors/Jazz game notching a 1.35 rating among M18-49 with 2.27 million viewers, and the Celtics/Raptors game scoring a 1.11 rating in that demo with 1.82 million viewers. A&E's 'Live PD' averaged a solid 0.59 key demo rating with 1.77 million viewers, while Discovery's 'Gold Rush' was robust at 0.80 in the 25-54s with 2.22 million viewers. On MTV, two episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.20/0.22 in W18-49, 0.16/0.15 in F12-34, and 433,000/472,000 in total viewers. Finally, over at HBO, 'Real Time with Bill Maher' had 1.51 million viewers, 'Pod Save America' rose to 493,000, and 'Tracey Ullman's Show' was at 212,000.

The game also led the women 18-49 demo (1.09 rating) and adults 25-54 demo (2.03), but ranked second in men 18-49 (2.1), males 12-34 (1.22), and adults 18-34 (1.09). 'NBA Basketball' between the Lakers and Blazers, on TNT, ranked second in the key demo (1.57 rating), but led cable in M18-49 (2.29), M12-34 (1.87), and adults 18-34 (1.55), averaging 3.31 million viewers. On MTV, 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' took victory in the F12-34 demo (0.7), third in the W18-49 demo (0.8), and had 1.11 million total viewers. Two episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' were both at 0.41 in the F12-34 demo (0.43/0.41 in W18-49) and at 485,000/462,000 in total viewers. Over at TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was solid, averaging a 0.33 M18-49 rating with 484,000 viewers, and at Bravo's 'Shah's of Sunset' had a 0.33 W18-49 rating with 851,000 viewers. Finally, on Reelz, 'Irreconcilable Differences' had 111,000 viewers. 

Wednesday October 17, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TBS's coverage of the 'MLB ALCS' between the Astros and Red Sox led all Wednesday cable with a 1.73 A 18-49 rating and 6.18 million viewers. The game led the day in households (3.76 rating), men & women 18-49 (2.33, 1.14), males 12-34 (1.49), adults 18-34 (1.35) and adults 25-54 (2.0). On FX, 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' led cable in the female 12-34 demo (0.77 rating), and averaged 2.01 million viewers; the show also ranked second in W18-49 (1.03). Coverage of the 'MLB NLCS,' on FS1, ranked third in the key 18-49 demo (0.88 rating) with 3.75 million viewers. It ranked second in M18-49 (1.32) and males 12-34 (0.94). Over at VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' averaged the third-highest W18-49 rating (0.59) and F12-34 rating (0.48) of the day, while 'Safeword' averaged 0.26 in both demos; in total viewers, the two shows were at 923,000 & 378,000. On MTV, 'Are You the One?' had a strong 0.42 rating in F12-34 with 466,000 viewers, and on Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Dallas' notched a 0.37 in W18-49 with 605,000 viewers. TBS's 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' skewed heavily male for last night's episode, with men 18-49 (0.34 rating) more than doubling the women 18-49 (0.16 rating) audience. Other Wednesday shows of note include: OWN's 'Greenleaf' (1.21 million), Comedy Central's 'South Park' (0.62 M18-49 rating, 705,000 viewers), FXX's 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (298,000), and TeenNick's 'Bureau of Magical Things' (95,000).

TNT's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the 76ers and Celtics topped the ratings charts on Tuesday cable. The game averaged a 1.41 A 18-49 rating with 2.95 million viewers, leading the day in men 18-49 (2.12 rating), males 12-34 (1.78), adults 18-34 (1.4), and ranking second in adults 25-54 (1.35). The Thunders/Warriors NBA game, also on TNT, took the second spot on the day in adults 18-49 (1.24 rating), men 18-49 (1.78 rating), and adults 18-34 (1.2), averaging 2.73 million viewers. The 'MLB ALCS,' on TBS, notched a 1.15 A 18-49 rating, just a hare about the 'MLB NLCS' game, on FS1, which had a 1.14; in total viewers the 2 games were at 4.87 million and 4.09 million viewers respectively. The 'ALCS' game had a larger female audience than the 'NLCS' game (0.79 vs. 0.67 in W18-49 & 0.54 vs. 0.42 in F12-34), while the 'NLCS' saw a larger male audience (1.62 vs. 1.5 in W18-49 & 1.05 vs. 1.02 F12-34). The two games also ranked first and third in the adults 25-54 demo (1.37 and 1.31). USA's 'WWE Smackdown' notched a 1.19 M18-49 rating with 2.55 million viewers, 'The Purge' had a 0.40 in that demo (0.39 in W18-49) with 1.03 million viewers, and FX's 'Mayans MC' was at 0.65 in that demo with 1.29 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Below Deck' and 'Flipping Out' were at 0.63/0.38 in W18-49 and 1.22 million/824,000 in total viewers, and on TBS, a sneak peak of the second season of 'The Guest Book' was at 0.39 in M18-49 (0.17 in W18-49) and 833,000.

Monday October 15, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Packers and 49ers topped the Monday cable ratings, averaging a 4.06 A 18-49 rating and 11.88 million viewers. The game topped everything on broadcast and cable in men & women 18-49 (5.62 rating, 2.52), males & females 12-34 (3.8, 1.6), adults 18-34 (3.3), and adults 25-54 (4.7). FS1 coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Brewers and Dodgers took the second spot on the day with a 0.98 A 18-49 rating (1.36 rating in M18-49) with 4.21 million viewers. The game notched a 25.3 rating in Milwaukee which equates to 214,650 households. Three hours of USA Network's 'WWE Entertainment' were at 1.04/1.02/0.98 ratings in men 18-49 and at 2.49 million/2.48 million/2.22 million in total viewers. On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' had the second-highest women 18-49 rating on cable (1.19) and 1.71 million viewers; 'Remi & Papoose' had a 0.64 rating in that demo with 979,000 viewers, and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' notched a 0.71 with 1.31 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Teen Mom' notched 0.80/0.72 ratings in W18-49 & F12-34 respectively with 929,000 viewers, while two episodes of 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' were at 0.53/0.51/646,000 and 0.39/0.41/490,000. Finally, Disney Channel's 'Andi Mack' had only 667,000 viewers.

Cable Network Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

With help from coverage of the 'MLB ALDS' and 'ALCS' TBS dominated the cable networks in primetime for the week ending Oct. 14, averaging 3.58 million viewers in primetime. This performance knocked FOX News down to the second spot on the week (2.61 million), just barely ahead of ESPN (2.6 million). FOX Sports 1, which aired the 'MLB NLDS and NLCS' wasn't as lucky as TBS, averaging only 1.06 million viewers on the week, ranking 8th. Looking at cable news nets, MSNBC ranked fourth (1.51 million), CNN took 14th (832,000), HLN ranked 49th (251,000), CNBC was 50th (236,000), and FOX Business was 75th (88,000). Other networks to average over 1 million viewers in primetime were: Hallmark Channel (1.14 million), HGTV (1.12 million), and USA Network (1.07 million). 

Sunday October 14, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' took victory on Sunday cable with a 1.98 A18-49 rating and 4.95 million viewers. While that demo bested everything on the night (except Sunday Night Football), it was a series-low for the show. Second on the night was TBS's coverage of the 'MLB ALCS' between the Red Sox and Astros which averaged a 1.46 key demo rating with 5.66 million viewers. 'Walking Dead' barely edged out the baseball game in the men 18-49 demo (2.04 rating vs. 1.9); however, the game led in the males 12-34 demo (1.01 vs. 1.34). 'Dead' also led the night in women 18-49 (1.92), females 12-34 (0.99), and adults 25-54 (2.45), while baseball led in households (3.14 vs. 2.79), adults 18-34 (1.17) and people over 50 (3.08). In Boston, the game notched a 20.6 HH rating, while NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' featuring the Patriots had a 34.3. In the women 18-49 demo, TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' (1.14 rating) ranked second on cable, while E!'s 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' (0.64 rating) tied 'Talking Dead' for third; in viewership those three shows were at: 2.66 million, 867,000, and 1.69 million respectively. Lifetime's 'You' also showed strength in the W18-49 demo, notching a 0.35 rating, as did TLC's 'Unexpected' which garnered a 0.59; in total viewers they averaged 711,000 & 1.17 million. On premium cable, HBO had 'The Deuce' (554,000), 'Last Week Tonight' (919,000), and the series-premiere of 'Camping' (544,000); Showtime aired 'Shameless' (919,000), 'Kidding' (166,000), and 'The Circus' (230,000), and STARZ had 'Warriors of Liberty' (52,000) and 'America to Me' (24,000). 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the raw L+7 demo gains for the week ending Oct. 7, rising 1.89 to 4.31; it ranked third in viewership gains, rising 5.69 million viewers to 14.56 million. Atop the raw viewership gains was 'Manifest,' which jumped 7.51 million viewers to 15.96 million in seven-day timeshifting; in the demo it was second on the week, rising 1.84 to 3.61. ABC's 'The Good Doctor' took fourth in demo gains (up 1.49 to 2.6) and second in viewership gains (up 6.14 million to 13.34 million). In percentage gains, ABC's new series 'A Million Little Things' led in the demo (up 135%) and viewership (98%), rising from 0.82 to 1.93 and from 3.79 million to 7.5 million. On the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story' tied AMC's 'The Walking Dead' in raw L+3 demo gains, each rising 1.22; the former rose to 2.23 and the latter to 3.72. In viewership gains, 'Dead' (up 2.62 million) edged out 'Horror' (up 2.4 million).

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

ABC's coverage of the '2018 American Music Awards' dominated the social charts for the week ending Oct. 7. The awards show averaged 5.51 million total interactions across the platforms, including 2.38 million on Instagram and 2.8 million on Twitter. On USA Network, 'WWE Monday Night RAW' (2.37 million) and 'WWE Smackdown!' (1.15 million) took the second and third spots on the week, both heavy on Instagram. Though little watched, the CW's 'Riverdale' premiered its new season with 813,000 interactions, with the majority (554,000) coming from Twitter. FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (330,000) made the list again this week long with ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars Juniors' (326,000) and NBC's 'This is Us' (295,000). 

Saturday October 13, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Game 1 of TBS's 'MLB ALCS' between the Astros and Red Sox led all of Saturday cable with a 1.5 A18-49 rating and 5.82 million viewers. The game led cable in households (3.34), men & women 18-49 (1.98, 1.03 ratings), males & females 12-34 (1.24, 0.67), people 18-34 (1.12) and people 25-54 (1.8). In local markets, it garnered a 20.0 rating in Houston and a 19.8 rating in Boston. The top-rated college football game on the day belonged to ESPN's coverage of the Missouri/Alabama game which had a 1.1 rating in the key demo (1.36 in M18-49) with 3.76 million viewers. On Hallmark, the original movie 'Under the Autumn Moon' delivered a 1.77 rating in people over 50 (0.44 rating in W18-49) with 2.44 million viewers while two Syfy original movies delivered 824,000 and 764,000 at 7pm and 8pm. Finally, on Ovation, week two of 'Versailles' averaged 102,000 viewers, and 'Inside Versailles' was at 51,000.

Friday October 12, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FS1's coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers took an easy victory on Friday cable. The game averaged a 1.13 A 18-49 rating with 4.64 million total viewers. It also led all of cable in major demos: households (2.7), men & women 18-49 (1.57, 0.69), adults 18-34 (0.81), men 18-34 (1.16), adults 25-54 (1.38) men 25-54 (1.91), and people over 50 (2.61). Discovery's 'Gold Rush' took the second spot on the day with a 0.64 rating and 2.35 million viewers, including a 1.26 rating in people over 50. A&E's 'Live PD' (0.54 rating) ranked second in the women 18-49 demo (0.55) and averaged 1.7 million viewers. Over at MTV, two episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.23/0.31 in females 12-34, 0.21/0.26 in women 18-49, and 456,000/553,000 in total viewers. Finally HBO aired 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (1.74 million), 'The Shop' (281,000), 'Tracey Ullman's Show' (249,000) and the premiere of 'Pod Save America' (454,000).

Thursday October 11, 2018 Nielsen Finals

NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' topped the Thursday cable ratings with a 1.09 A18-49 rating and 2.98 million total viewers. According to data from the NFL, there were 2.1 million unique streamers and an average minute streaming audience of 773,000 for the game. The game averaged a combined 7.9 M18-49 rating (6.3 on FOX, 1.6 on NFL Net), as well as a 4.75 A18-34 rating (3.9 on FOX, 0.85 on NFL Net). Elsewhere on cable, MTV's 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' remained strong notching a cable-leading 0.8 women 18-49 rating with 1.15 million viewers, while the two series-premiere episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' were at 0.49/0.43 in that demo with 610,000/540,000 viewers. Over at Bravo, 'Shahs of Sunset' scored a 0.44 W18-49 rating with 988,000 viewers, and on TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' averaged a 0.26 M18-49 rating with 522,000 viewers.

Wednesday October 10, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' easily walked to a Wednesday cable victory with a 1.02 A18-49 rating and 2.12 million total viewers. The show led cable in women 18-49 (1.16 rating), people 18-34 (0.99), females 12-34 (0.92), and adults 25-54 (1.02). An NBA preseason game between the Warriors and Lakers, on ESPN, ranked second on the day with a 0.78 key demo rating and 1.98 million viewers. That game led cable in men 18-49 (1.17 rating) and males 12-34 (0.88). Comedy Central's 'South Park' notched a 0.8 rating in M18-49 with 966,000 viewers, while VH1's 'Black Ink Crew' averaged a 0.73 rating in 18-49 with 1.09 million viewers, and MTV's 'Are You the One,' had 422,000 (0.35 rating in F12-34). Elsewhere, 'Greenleaf,' on OWN, had a 0.24 W18-49 rating with 1.17 million viewers, 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' on FXX, had 342,000, and 'Safeword,' on VH1, had 397,000 

Cable Network Ratings: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

FOX News topped the cable network ratings for the week ending October 7, 2018, averaging 3.47 million viewers in primetime. MSNBC took the fourth spot on the week with 1.78 million, CNN took seventh with 1.02 million, HLN was 43rd with 292,000, CNBC was 55th with 214,000, and FOX Business ranked 77th with 87,000. With help from 'Monday Night Football,' ESPN took the second spot on the week with 3.3 million primetime viewers, and due to coverage of the MLB Divisions series games, TBS ranked third with 2.77 million and FOX Sports 1 jumped to ninth with 1.0 million viewers. USA Network (1.12 million), HGTV (1.11 million), and Hallmark Channel (1.01 million) rounded out the networks averaging over 1 million viewers. 

Tuesday October 9, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TBS coverage of game 4 of the 'MLB ALDS' between the Yankees and Red Sox dominated the Tuesday cable ratings, averaging a 1.92 A18-49 rating with 7.15 million viewers. The game led everything on both broadcast and cable in men 18-49 (2.7 rating), men 18-34 (2.0), men 25-54 (3.3), and males 12-34 (1.7). It also hit the highest household rating in Boston for a LDS game in 10 years (23.9). Outside of baseball, USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' took the second spot on the day with a 0.67 demo rating (0.84 in M18-49) and 2.14 million viewers, while 'The Purge' rose slightly to 0.39 in the demo with 1.01 million viewers. FX's 'Mayans M.C.' remained strong in men 18-49 with a 0.65 rating and 1.35 million viewers, while MTV's 'The Challenge: Reckoning' notched the third-highest women 18-49 rating on cable (0.55) with 749,000 viewers. Other strong female-skewing shows include Bravo's 'Below Deck' which had a 0.57 W18-49 rating with 1.21 million viewers, and both TLC's 'The Little Couple' and 'Sweet Home Sextuplets' which were at 0.54 and 0.38 respectively in that demo and averaged 1.55 million and 1.07 million viewers. Finally, the season finale of 'Carter,' on WGN America, was relatively even at 0.02 and 171,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 9/24 - 9/30/2018

NBC's 'Manifest' topped both the raw demo gains and raw viewership gains in L+7 ratings for premiere week. The NBC series premiere rose 2.01 in the demo to 4.17, and jumped nearly 8 million viewers to 18.4 million. 'This Is Us' ranked second in the demo gains, up 1.89 to 4.87, while 'The Good Doctor' took second in viewership gains, rising 6.78 million to 14.13 million. In percentage gains, 'The Good Doctor' led in both the demo (up 129%) and total viewers (up 92%). On the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story' easily led the L+3 raw gains for the week, rising 1.13 in the demo and 2.24 million viewers. 

Monday October 8, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' between the Redskins and Saints easily topped all of Monday television, on both broadcast and cable. The game averaged a 3.6 A18-49 rating with 10.51 million total viewers, and led in all major demos: men & women 18-49 (5.06 rating, 2.17), people 18-34 (3.04), and people 25-54 (4.27). On TBS, the 'MLB ALDS' between the Yankees and Red Sox ranked third with a 1.18 rating (1.57 in M18-49) and 4.41 million viewers. Over at USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' averaged between 0.77 and 0.87 in the demo (0.93 to 1.09 in M18-49) and between 2.2 million and 2.53 million total viewers. Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' had a 0.73 W18-49 rating with 1.27 million viewers, while on VH1, 'Love & Hip Hollywood' notched a 1.16 rating (#2 on cable) with 1.66 million viewers, and 'Remi & Papoose' was at 0.68 in that demo with 969,000 viewers. On MTV, 'Teen Mom' averaged a 0.59 rating in F12-34 (0.68 in W18-49) with 851,000 viewers, and 'Floribama Shore' had a 0.41 with 562,000 viewers. Finally, AMC's 'Better Call Saul' concluded its fourth season tying its second-highest demo score of the year (0.47 rating), and pulling its best viewership since Aug. 27 (1.53 million).
