WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Wednesday February 24, 2016:

Happy Leap Day! A CONAN episode geared to the 200th BIG BANG THEORY episode led the night with a huge 1.9 million viewers (0.63 18-49 rating), and scored in the P50+ demo with a 0.95 rating. SUITS, on USA, rose to 1.73 million for its penultimate episode of the season (even among men/women 18-49 at 0.5, but in 12-34, it was 0.37 males/0.29 females), and MOB WIVES, on VH1, ticked up to 1.26 million (0.87 rating in W18-49/0.70 in F12-34). Over at TLC, LITTLE WOMEN ATL (1.45 million) and LITTLE WOMEN LA (1.43 million) both brought in solid ratings among women 18-49 (0.90/0.85) and females 12-34 (0.78/0.68). A&E's DUCK DYNASTY was about level at 1.37 million (0.47 in W18-49/0.51 in men) & JEP & JESSICA rose to 1.19 million while at TV Land, both shows rose in viewership: YOUNGER to 705,000 (0.30 in W18-49), and TEACHERS to 434,000. On FXX, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA found 515,000 viewers (0.38 in A18-34/0.45 in M18-49/0.41 in M12-34), while MAN SEEKING WOMAN pulled in 212,000, and on Freeform, YOUNG & HUNGRY was down to 623,000 viewers (0.58 in F12-34), and BABY DADDY was at 591,000 (0.50 in that demo). FACE OFF, on Syfy, rose to 920,000, PREACHERS OF ATLANTA, on Oxygen, was up to 315,000, and RESTAURANT STARTUP, on CNBC, dropped to 262,000. On Velocity, SOUTH BEACH CLASSICS was down 40K viewers to 293,000, and WHEELER DEALERS fell to 273,000. ABOUT THE BUSINESS premiered on both BET and Centric, where it brought in 365,000 and 14,000 respectively, and PREDATOR ROAD TRIP, on Smithsonian, premiered to 56,000 viewers. Among lower rated cables, LUCHA UNDERGROUND, on El Rey, fell to 99,000 viewers (from 152K), and AMERICAN LAWMEN, on AHC, was down to 175,000 (from 211K). Finally, on Fuse, THE BRIT AWARDS were seen by 46,000, and SATURDAY MORNING FEVER was even with last week's 10,000.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 23, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

On FX, AMERICAN CRIME STORY led the day in the 18-49s (1.28), and averaged approximately 3 million viewers (1.3 rating in W18-49/1.26 in men), and on HGTV, FIXER UPPER led cable in total viewers (3.48 million). OWN's THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS rose to 3.07 million (1.14 in W18-49), Bravo's THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS was down slightly to 1.79 million (1.02 in that demo), and TNT's RIZZOLI & ISLES had 2.4 million (0.55). Both Freeform entries were down slightly: PRETTY LITTLE LIARS to 1.27 million (1.34 rating in F12-34/0.94 in W18-49), and SHADOWHUNTERS to 841,000 (0.58/0.53). On MTV, TEEN WOLF tumbled to 760,000 and notched its highest demo in F12-34 (0.56), while SHANNARA was down to 723,000 (0.34). DANCE MOMS, on Lifetime, ticked down to 1.32 million (0.83 in F12-34/0.78 in W18-49), and PITCH SLAPPED dropped to 486,000. UNIQUE RIDES (Velocity) hit 207,000, GANGSTERS (Reelz) notched 200,000, and ALMOST GENIUS (TruTV) dropped to 288,000. Among lower-rated cables, FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES was down to 211,000 but TEAM NINJA WARRIOR rose to 268,000.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 22, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

BETTER CALL SAUL, on AMC, fell to a series-low 2.23 million viewers in the second week of its second season (1.36 rating in men 18-49/0.61 in women), down from 2.57 million last week. In comparison, the second episode of the second season of BREAKING BAD only mustered 1.58 million viewers back in 2009. WWE ENTERTAINMENT, on USA, led in total viewers, averaging 3.88 million viewers and a 1.74 Males 18-49 rating across its 3 hours (1.84/1.82/1.56 ratings). After taking last week off for THE GRAMMYS, all 4 VH1 shows returned this week: LOVE & HIP HOP dropped to 2.5 million (2.06 rating in W18-49/1.89 in men), but everything else on the network rose: STEVIE J & JOSELINE to 2.13 million (1.61/1.48), K MICHELLE: MY LIFE to 1.95 million (1.08/1.01), and HIT THE FLOOR to 1.42 million (1.45/1.36). MAJOR CRIMES, on TNT, rose to 3.19 million viewers (2.32 in P50+), while VANDERPUMP RULES, on Bravo, rose 100K, to 1.55 million, and was strongest in W18-49 (1.09). On TBS, AMERICAN DAD was about even with 1.05 million (0.56 rating in M12-34), FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE was up slightly to 565,000 in its third week, and an ANGIE TRIBECA rerun ("Commissioner Bigfish") had 609,000. FULL FRONTAL's highest rating was a 0.28 in 25-54's & men 12-34, while ANGIE's was a 0.45 in Females 12-34. THE FOSTERS, on Freeform, hit a series-low 788,000 viewers (0.60 in F12-34), while RECOVERY ROAD dropped to 464,000. Syfy's THE MAGICIANS had 647,000 (& 0.44 in A 25-54), BITTEN had 355,000, and LOST GIRL had 320,000 (down from 748K, 466K, and 452K respectively). Finally, AGAINST THE ODDS, on AHC, began with 232,000, TOP GEAR: RACES, on BBC America, managed only 152,000, and the MOVIEGUIDE AWARDS, on Reelz, stumbled with only 44,000 viewers.

With no Presidential Debates airing this past week, THE BACHELOR pulled off a win on Twitter, with a unique audience of 4.14 million, 36.96m impressions, and 206,000 tweets written by 106,000 authors. THE WALKING DEAD led the week in tweets (394,000), and authors (138,000), and also brought in more than 31.27m impressions. All 3 TGIT shows made the list with week: GREY'S ANATOMY had a unique audience of 1.54m (82,000 tweets), SCANDAL had 1.42m (92,000 tweets), and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER had 998,000 (with 54,000 tweets); all 3 had a combined 14 million impressions. THE X FILES had a unique audience of almost 1.19 million along with 85,000 tweets for its season finale, and KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS had 43,000 tweets (and a unique audience of about 1.36m). Among teen shows, SUPERNATURAL had an audience of 1.2 million (55,000 tweets), and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES had 393,000 (and 30,000 tweets). Finally, CAIT JENNER: COLLISION COURSE had only 100 tweets about it, but they had 86,000 impressions.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Sunday February 21, 2016:

AMC's THE WALKING DEAD commanded the day, beating everything on both broadcast and cable with 13.48 million viewers & a 6.58 in the 18-49s (6.14 in W18-49/7.03 in M18-49). TALKING DEAD scored well with 5.69 million viewers, and with a 2.68 18-49 rating, it beat everything on the broadcast networks. LAST WEEK TONIGHT, on HBO, dropped to 919,000, and the season premiere of GIRLS notched 489,000 viewers (0.28 rating in W18-49) - down from last year's premiere (680K), and finale (687K). Showtime's SHAMELESS ticked up to 1.66 million (0.69 in W18-49/0.75 in M18-49), BILLIONS rose to 1.17 million, and THE CIRCUS was up to 198,000. A SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED special on HMM brought in 807,000 viewers, up slightly from the 2 most recent specials on September 13, 2015 (806K), and October 4, 2015 (798K). Over at Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA logged a 2.05 W18-49 rating with 3.17 million viewers, and at E!, KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS was at 1.39 in that demo with 1.9 million viewers. Among lower-rated cables, Smithsonian's AIR DISASTERS was up to 256,000 (from 209K), and SUPERCAR SUPERBUILD jumped to 131,000. Finally, on Ovation, RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY ticked up to 28,000, but LILY COLE'S ART MATTERS was down to 2,000.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

ESPN coverage of COLLEGE BASKETBALL topped all of Saturday cable. The Kentusky/Texas A&M game notched a 0.61 rating in adults 18-49, a 0.86 rating in men 18-49, and 2 million total viewers. The Oklahoma/West Virginia game took second on the day with a 0.72 rating in men 18-49 and 1.4 million viewers, and the Duke/Louisville game had a 0.74 rating in that demographic with 1.56 million viewers. Over at Nickelodeon, NICKY, RICKY, DICKY & DAWN notched a 0.47 F12-34 rating (0.45 in males) with 1.67 million viewers, GAME SHAKERS was at 0.47/0.52 with 1.68 million, and 100 THINGS TO DO had 0.35/0.34 with 1.36 million. On the scripted side, Starz's BLACK SAILS ticked up to 679,000 viewers, Esquire's BEOWULF rose to 189,000, but Ovation's THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE dipped to 143,000 viewers. Finally, on Oxygen, #KILLERPOST dropped to 222,000.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Friday February 19, 2016:

Discovery's GOLD RUSH topped Friday cable, scoring a 1.59 rating among males 18-49, a 1.59 rating in people 25-54, and 3.85 million total viewers. On Lifetime, new episodes of RAP GAME and BRING IT! were at 1.15 and 0.98 in women 18-49 (1.00 and 0.94 in females 12-34), and had 1.58 million and 1.44 million viewers respectively, both up from last week. GIRL MEETS WORLD, on Disney Channel, garnered a 0.73 rating in females 12-34 with 1.7 million viewers, and BUNK'D notched a 0.62 rating in that demographic with 1.62 million viewers, both down slightly from last week. Finally, on HBO, ANIMALS. dropped to 188,000 viewers (from 235K).

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 18, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Thursday February 18, 2016:

History's VIKINGS led all of Thursday cable, hitting a 0.82 adults 18-49 rating with 2.39 million viewers; it also had a 1.02 rating in people 25-54 and a 0.97 in men 18-49. NBA BASKETBALL, between the Bulls and Cavaliers was next, pulling a 1.08 rating among M18-49, 0.97 in M12-34, and 1.91 million viewers; the other game was at 1.06/0.92 in those demos with 1.73 million viewers. Outside of sports, USA's WWE SMACKDOWN also had solid returns among M18-49 (0.94), M12-34 (0.93), and total viewers (2.46 million) while Spike's LIP SYNC BATTLE was strong among women 18-49 (0.78 rating in W18-49) with 1.35 million total viewers. Lifetime's PROJECT RUNWAY ALLSTARS garnered a 0.43 in women 18-49 (1.06 million viewers), while MTV's RIDICULOUSNESS notched a 0.44 rating in females 12-34 with 678,000 viewers. Elsewhere, BASKETS, on FX, rose to 649,000 (from 567K), PORTLANDIA ticked up to 165,000 (from 163K), and the finale of LONDON SPY, on BBC America, rose slightly to 96,000 viewers (from 72K).

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 17, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Wednesday February 17, 2016:

COLLEGE BASKETBALL, on ESPN led the night on cable with a 1.13 adults 18-49 rating and 2.86 million viewers, including a 1.62 in men 18-49 and 1.46 in males 12-34. Close behind was History's AMERICAN PICKERS which had 2.81 million (0.73 in M18-49, 1.81 in P50+) and PAWN STARS which dropped to 1.88 million and a 1.10 in the P50+ demo. The GOP TOWN HALL, on CNN, pulled in 2.36 million viewers with a 1.52 P50+ demo rating, and a 0.52 in P18-49. Between men and women 18-49, it skewed male 0.63 vs. 0.41. SUITS, on USA, was down to 1.58 million (0.50 in W18-49/0.42 in men), and MOB WIVES, on VH1 rose to 1.22 million (0.89 in W18-49/0.72 in F12-34). The third season premiere of Comedy Central's BROAD CITY found 772,000 viewers (0.67 rating in people 18-34), up from the season 2 finale (672K), but down from the season 1 (914K) and season 2 (863K) premieres. Freeform's pair both rose this week - BABY DADDY to 606,000 (0.44 in F12-34), and YOUNG & HUNGRY to 569,000 (0.45 in that demo) as did TV Land's YOUNGER to to 616,000 (0.31 in W18-49/0.09 in men), but TEACHERS dropped to 382,000. IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, on FXX, was stable at 531,000 (0.42 in M18-49, 0.35 in P18-34), and MAN SEEKING WOMAN rose to 207,000. The series premiere of AHC's AMERICAN LAWMEN found 211,000, and El Rey's LUCHA UNDERGROUND ticked up to 152,000. Among lower-rated cables, KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE, on FYI, fell from 206K all the way to 97,000 (AN EXTRA SHOT was at 45,000), FLIPPIN' RV'S, on GAC, dropped to 65,000, and finally, SATURDAY MORNING FEVER, on Fuse, hit a series-low 10,000.

American Harvest (RFD): Ratings Recap

RFD's 'American Harvest' was a 13-episode docuseries that aired on Tuesdays from November 3, 2015 through January 26, 2016. It hit an 18-49 ratings high of 0.01 and a viewership high of 52,000. 

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

AMERICAN CRIME STORY, on FX, again led the night with a 1.35 18-49 rating (1.37 in men 18-49, 1.33 in women), 3.33 million viewers, and it was strongest in Adults 25-54 (1.46). RIZZOLI & ISLES, on TNT, returned for the second part of its sixth season with 2.34 million & 2.59 million for its two episodes (down hugely from the 4.77 million of the summer finale from 9/1/15); it was particularly strong in Adults 50+ where it had a 1.63/1.88 and in W18-49 (0.55/0.49). Other top shows from this day include: OWN's THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS at 2.95 million (1.1 in W18-49), Discovery's MOONSHINERS at 2.08 million (1.0 in M18-49), and Bravo's REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS at 1.9 million (1.2 in W18-49); all either rose or were even with last week. Both Freeform shows rose this week: PRETTY LITTLE LIARS to 1.36 million (1.62 in F12-34) and SHADOWHUNTERS to 976,000 (0.73 in that demo). MTV's TEEN WOLF went up to 974,000 viewers (0.74 in F12-34), and SHANNARA was at 778,000 (0.33). WGN America's OUTSIDERS was even in the key 25-54 demo (0.35), but lost 80K viewers, to 801,000. DANCE MOMS, on Lifetime, rose slightly to 1.45 million (0.83 in W18-49, 0.81 in F12-34) and PITCH SLAPPED brought in 555,000. Esquire's FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES had 244,000, Oxygen's PRANCING ELITES PROJECT had 293,000, and Velocity's UNIQUE RIDES had 251,000. Finally, GANGSTERS, on Reelz, was up to 240,000 viewers.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Monday February 15, 2016:

BETTER CALL SAUL began its second season with a robust 2.573 million viewers (1.38 rating in men 18-49, 0.74 in women). This, however; was down from the 6.881 million who watched the premiere last year, but up from the 2.532 million who watched the season one finale. Said number is also up from the 1.662 million that watched the second season premiere of BREAKING BAD back in 2009. The first TALKING SAUL had an audience of 744,000, which was down from the first TALKING BAD's 1.185M back in 2013 (although that broadcast had a 5.915M lead-in).

THE GRAMMY AWARDS led the night with 24.95 million viewers on CBS which translated to a 7.66 18-49 rating. This was up from last year's 24.82M viewers, but down from the 8.3 18-49 rating. MTV's TEEN MOM fell to 1.49 million viewers (1.32 rating in W18-49, 1.34 in F12-34), but TRUE LIFE rose to 675,000 (0.59/0.69 in those respective demos). USA Network's 3 hours of WWE ENTERTAINMENT led cable in 18-49 (1.26/1.22/1.16 ratings), men 18-49 (1.61/1.62/1.52 ratings), and males 12-34 (1.46/1.60/1.47). On Freeform, THE FOSTERS ticked down to 814,000 (0.46 in W18-49, 0.60 in F12-34), and RECOVERY ROAD "recovered" somewhat to 488,000 (from 446K). THE MAGICIANS led Syfy's night, bringing in 748,000 viewers (about level with last week's 745K), but LOST GIRL rose to 458,000 (from 411K), and BITTEN began its final season with 466,000. On TBS, AMERICAN DAD rose to 1.07 million, an ANGIE TRIBECA rerun ("The Thumb Affair") found 573,000 (down from the 902K who watched this episode's original broadcast), and FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE found 541,000 viewers (0.31 in m1n 18-49, 0.18 in women). Finally, on Fox Business, STRANGE INHERITANCE concluded its second season with 123,000 and 139,000 viewers for its two episodes.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 14, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Sunday February 14, 2016:

Happy Valentines Day! AMC's THE WALKING DEAD dominated the day with 13.74 million viewers, and a 6.75 18-49 demo rating (6.37/7.14 for F/M); in 18-34s it notched a 6.15 and 25-54s it was at 7.22. The spring premiere was down from the fall finale on November 29th in viewership (13.98 million) and in all demos 18-49 (7.02), 18-34 (6.38), and 25-54 (7.23); and was the lowest viewership for a spring premiere since February 10, 2013 (12.26 million). TALKING DEAD, on the other hand, rose to a season-high 6.44 million viewers (fall finale had 2.73 million), and scored high marks in all demos: 18-49 (3.10), 18-34 (2.69), and 25-54 (3.40).

Elsewhere on cable, both Showime entires rose from last week: SHAMELESS to 1.59 million viewers (from 1.16M), and BILLIONS to 1.01M (from 851K); its second-highest mark of the season. THE CIRCUS found 162,000 (from 85K). On HBO, VINYL premiered to a dismal 764,000 viewers and a 0.25 in the 18-49s (highest demo was a 0.40 in P50+); the re-airing at 11:30pm had 371,000. It was the second-worst premiere of an HBO drama series ever as only 2008's IN TREATMENT premiered to a smaller audience (446K). Four previous HBO drama series were cancelled after only 1 season, and all premiered to higher numbers: TELL ME YOU LOVE ME (910K), K STREET (2.995M), JOHN FROM CINCINNATI (3.42M), & LUCK (1.143M). LAST WEEK TONIGHT premiered its third season to 1.02M viewers - the highest numbers since August 23, 2015. Among lower-rated cables, all 3 Ovation entires were down this week - RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY to 25,000 (from 28K), THE ENVELOPE to 13,000 (from 19K), and LILY COLE'S ART MATTERS to 5,000 (from 16K).

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Saturday February 13, 2016:

TNT's coverage of NBA ALLSTAR SATURDAY NIGHT was the top airing on Saturday cable, notching a huge 2.61 adults 18-49 rating with 5.59 million viewers. It also notched a 3.63 rating in both men 18-49 and males 12-34, as well as a 2.47 rating in adults 25-54. Hallmark's original movie VALENTINE EVER AFTER saw decent numbers in W18-49 (0.57 rating), and strong numbers in both people over 50 (1.81) and total viewers (2.53 million). On Starz, BLACK SAILS rose to 640,000 viewers (from 501K), on Esquire, BEOWULF dipped to 166,000 (from 177K), and on Ovation, THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE ticked down to 173,000 (from 194K). Finally, on Reelz, AUTOPSY took a big hit, down to 212,000 viewers (from 346K), and on Centric, FROM THE BOTTOM UP, jumped to 141,000 viewers (from 99K).

Weekly Top Twitter Ratings: February 9-15, 2016

Top 35 Shows on Twitter: Week Ending February 15, 2016

THE GRAMMY AWARDS, on CBS, led the week on Twitter, with 7.64 million tweets, 1.73m unique authors, and over 550 million impressions. THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE had 1.38m tweets and almost 160 million impressions, while THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE had 748,000 tweets and almost 85 million impressions. THE WALKING DEAD, on AMC, returned on Sunday with a massive 51.85 million impressions, a unique audience of over 5.42m, and 813,000 tweets, and BETTER CALL SAUL returned Monday with almost 2.56m impressions, 29,000 tweets, and a unique audience of 958,000. All of the Shondaland shows made the list: GREY'S ANATOMY led with 218,000 tweets (11.5m impressions), followed by SCANDAL with 147,000 tweets (9.01m impressions), and finally HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER with 114,000 tweets (7.08m impressions). Among popular teen shows, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS had 66,000 tweets & 2.71m impressions, TEEN WOLF had 131,000 tweets & 2.95m impressions, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES had 23,000 tweets & 1.1m impressions. Finally, the premiere of VINYL, on HBO, had a unique audience of 832,000, 6,000 tweets, and 1.61m impressions.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Discovery's GOLD RUSH SPECIAL took a dominant victory on Friday cable, notching a 1.13 rating in adults 18-49, a 1.84 rating in people over 50, and 3.58 million viewers. On Lifetime, BRING IT! scored a 0.83 rating in females 18-49 and a 0.77 rating in females 12-34 with 1.25 million viewers while RAP GAME was at 0.76/0.78 in those demos with 1.15 million viewers. On Disney Channel, new episodes of BUNK'D and GIRL MEETS WORLD were at 0.73 and 0.77 respectively in females 12-34 and at 1.88 million and 1.75 million viewers. Two season finale episodes of ON THE RECORD WITH MICK ROCK were both at 0.01s with 22,000 and 23,000 viewers, while POP's EASIEST GAME SHOW EVER rose to 103,000 viewers (from 66K/69K).

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 11, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Thursday February 11, 2016:

USA's WWE SMACKDOWN! edged out an 18-49 victory over CNN's PBS DEMOCRATIC DEBATE, 0.75 to 0.73; however, the latter won in total viewers. 4.12 million to 2.41 million. SMACKDOWN also had a decidedly younger audience, winning the day in people 18-34 (0.61 rating) and males 12-34 (0.78) and taking second in men 18-49 (0.83). Also on USA this night was COLONY which ticked down slightly to 1.07 million viewers (0.44 in M18-49), and performed well in adults 25-54 (0.45 rating). On Spike, LIP SYNC BATTLE was robust in both females 12-34 (0.47 rating) and women 18-49 (0.66), but dropped in viewers to 1.25 million viewers (from 1.44M). Over at Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY ALLSTARS delivered strong numbers in W18-49 (0.50 rating) and logged 1.09 million viewers. On WEtv, GROWING UP HIP HOP notched a 0.47 rating in women 18-49 (645,000 viewers), and TAMAR & VINCE garnered a 0.37 in that demographic (522,000 viewers) while at MTV, RIDICULOUSNESS had a 0.33 rating in females 12-34 with 682,000 viewers. Elsewhere, FX's BASKETS ticked down to 567,000 (from 625K), IFC's PORTLANDIA ticked up to 163,000 (from 152K), and BBC America's LONDON SPY dropped to 72,000 (from 110K).

History's AMERICAN PICKERS led the night in viewers with 2.84M (up from 2.81M), and had a very strong 1.85 rating in adults 50+. DUCK DYNASTY, on A&E, fell to 1.58 million viewers (0.72 rating in A25-54); its lowest viewed episode since April 18, 2012 (1.57M), and the sixth lowest rated episode ever. Also on the network was JEP & JESSICA which dropped to a series low 1.24M (from 1.43M). USA's SUITS rose to 1.71 million this week (from 1.51M), and Velocity's WHEELER DEALERS was down to 298,000 (from 338K). On FXX, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA ticked down to 536,000 (0.42 rating in A18-34), and MAN SEEKING WOMAN dropped to 169,000 (from 251K). Both Freeform entries took a hit this week: YOUNG & HUNGRY dropped to 530,000, and BABY DADDY was down to 475,000; both still doing well in the F12-34 demo at 0.47 & 0.34. MTV's CHALLENGE: BLOODLINES (730,000 viewers) was strong in F12-34 (0.63 rating) while Lifetime's LITTLE WOMEN LA (1.41 million) and LITTLE WOMEN ATLANTA (1.22 million) were both strong in W18-49 (0.63 and 0.60 ratings). On TV Land the fifth installment of TEACHERS found 446,000 (from 458K), and YOUNGER found 569,000 (from 624K). Among lower-rated cables, The penultimate episode of FLIPPIN' RV'S, on Great American Country, pulled in 170,000 (from 98K), and the third installment of SATURDAY MORNING FEVER, on Fuse, ticked up to 41,000 (from 29K). Finally, LUCHA UNDERGROUND, on El Rey, notched 136,000 viewers (up slightly from 125K).

FX's AMERICAN CRIME STORY: PEOPLE V. OJ SIMPSON led the day again in 18-49's (1.51 rating), and in total viewers: 3.89 million; it also performed particularly well with People 25-54 (1.71). On Freeform, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS fell to a series low 1.22 million viewers and SHADOWHUNTERS was down to a season-low 947,000 viewers, but both were high in Females 12-34, with 1.32 and 0.66 ratings respectively. DANCE MOMS, on Lifetime, was strong in both W18-49 and F12-34 (0.77 and 0.78 ratings), but ticked down to 1.41 million viewers (from 1.47 million last week), while PITCH SLAPPED rose to 565,000 (from 513K). On MTV, TEEN WOLF fell 88K viewers, to 883,000 (0.70 rating in F12-34), and SHANNARA dropped 168K, to 801,000 (0.36 in that demo). WGN America's new series OUTSIDERS rose to 881,000 viewers in its third week (from 840K), and had a strong 0.35 in P 25-54 (WGN's key demo). PRANCING ELITES PROJECT, on Oxygen, was down to 234,000 (from 289K), FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES, on Esquire, rose 11K to 171,000, and UNIQUE RIDES, on Velocity, rose to 247,000 in its second week (from 223K). On TV One, HERE WE GO AGAIN began in its regular timeslot with 199,000 viewers (down from 399K for the sneak preview on Friday 2/5), while BORN AGAIN VIRGIN returned with the fourth episode of the second season at 156,000 viewers (down from 225K for the most recent episode on 12/22/15). Finally, among lower rated cables, INSIDE THE NFL, on Showtime, rose to 122,000 viewers (from 84K), and 60 MINUTES SPORTS had 74,000.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE premiered on 5 different networks: TBS (its actual network), Adult Swim, TNT, TruTV, and HLN, and had a combined 2.501 million viewers. The Adult Swim airing actually had the most viewers (986,000), followed by TBS (629,000), TNT (402,000), HLN (342,000), and finally, TruTV (142,000). Also on TBS this night was AMERICAN DAD (1.002 million), CONAN (368,000), and ANGIE TRIBECA (661,000).

USA Network's WWE ENTERTAINMENT led the night, averaging 3.73 million viewers across its three hours (3.91M/3.91M/3.37M) and 1.73/1.83/1.81 ratings in men 18-49. On Bravo, VANDERPUMP RULES rose to 1.52 million viewers (1.03 rating in W18-49), and TOUR GROUP had 480,000 viewers. LOVE & HIP HOP, on VH1, brought in 2.6 million viewers (1.96 rating in W18-49), HIT THE FLOOR dropped to 1.17 million (0.93 in that demo), K. MICHELLE: MY LIFE went down 60K viewers to 1.85 million (1.33) , and STEVIE J & JOSELINE held with 2.11 million (1.53). Both Freeform shows rose this week: THE FOSTERS to 837,000 viewers (0.65 rating in F12-34), and RECOVERY ROAD to 446,000 (from 411K), but both Syfy shows dropped this week: THE MAGICIANS to 745,000 (from 901K), and LOST GIRL to 411,000 (from 458K). On TV One, JUSTICE BY ANY MEANS was up to 338,000 viewers (from 254K), and FATAL ATTRACTION jumped to 325,000 (from 266K). BBC America's TOP GEAR: RACES ticked up to 220,000 (from 208K), THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW was down slightly to 200,000 (from 205K), and the two season finale episodes of ALMOST ROYAL were at 38,000 and 45,000 (vs. last week's 55K/29K). STRANGE INHERITANCE, on Fox Business, was at 103,000 and 105,000 for its two episodes (from 95K/67K), and finally, Logo's GAY SKIT HAPPENS began with 39,000.

Sunday was a slow night on cable as many networks took the night off instead of going up against THE SUPER BOWL. SUPER BOWL 50, on CBS, brought in 111.86 million viewers, down from the 114.44 million who saw SUPER BOWL XLIX last year, and from the 112.19 million who saw SUPER BOWL XLVIII in 2014.

On cable, THE PUPPY BOWL (Animal Planet) led the day with 2.2 million viewers, down from last years 2.77 million, and THE KITTEN BOWL (Hallmark) was down to 756,000 viewers this year (from 1.33 million). On Showtime, SHAMELESS (which aired new) took an obvious fall, down to 1.16m viewers (from 1.7 million), BILLIONS went down to 851,000 viewers (from 1.28 million), and THE CIRCUS fell to 85,000 viewers (from 158K). Other shows that aired new include: Velocity's TECH GARAGE (160,000), and GAC's FLEA MARKET FLIP (146,000). Among lower-rated cables, Ovation's RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY ticked down to 28,000 (from 30K), THE LOS ANGELES TIMES: THE ENVELOPE rose slightly to 19,000 (from 14K), and the series finale of PORTRAIT ARTIST OF THE YEAR found 16,000 (from 10K two weeks ago).

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 6, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

ESPN coverage of NBA BASKETBALL between the Thunder and Warriors led a low-rated Saturday on cable with a 1.36 key demo rating and 3.23 million viewers. The game also brought in daily highs in people 18-34 (1.46 rating), males 12-34 (1.92) and men 18-49 (1.99). Over at Lifetime, BEYOND THE HEADLINES scored 1.04 million viewers (0.49 rating in W18-49), and the Hallmark movie APPETITE FOR LOVE brought in 2.4 million (0.48 in that demo). On Animal Planet, YANKEE JUNGLE had 676,000 viewers (from 839K), on Travel, GHOST ADVENTURES dropped to 779,000 (from 814K), and on Discovery, MYTHBUSTERS took a hit down to 772,000 (from 951K). Destination America's MOUNTAIN MONSTERS rose 10K viewers to 535,000, Starz's BLACK SAILS tumbled to a new series low of 501,000 (from 759K), and Oxygen's #KILLERPOST rose to 268,000 (from last week's 245K). On Reelz, AUTOPSY fell 95K viewers to 346,000, and DEADLY SHOOTOUTS was at 189,000 and 149,000 for its two episodes (vs. last week's 262K/261K). Among lower-rated cables, BEOWULF, on Esquire, shed 22K viewers to 177,000, FROM THE BOTTOM UP, on Centric, ticked down to 99,000 (from 102K), and THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE, on Ovation, rose to 194,000 (from 172K). Finally, on Fuse, THE LINEUP  aired a sneak preview which found a mere 27,000 viewers.

SUPER BOWL 50 was the obvious winner of the past week with over 16.9 million tweets, written by 3.79 million unique authors, seen by a unique audience of over 15.2m, with over 1.32 BILLION impressions (1,321,673,000).  The REPUBLICAN DEBATE and the DEMOCRATIC DEBATE were in second and third place respectively, with 1.52m tweets about the former, and 680,000 tweets for the latter. The premiere of FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE had 4,000 tweets written by 3,000 individuals, and approximately 1.08 million impressions. DOWNTOWN ABBEY, on PBS, had 12,000 tweets, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, on NBC, had 85,000, and THE BACHELOR had 236,000 tweets (with 40.4M impressions). Among popular teen shows, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS had 88,000 tweets (with 3.51M impressions), SUPERNATURAL had 63,000 (1.49M), THE VAMPIRE DIARIES had 34,000 (1.26M), TEEN WOLF had 102,000 (2.16M)  and THE 100 was at 71,000 (2.40M). Finally, Showtime's BILLIONS partially aired against the THE SUPER BOWL, and had 1,000 tweets, and 189,000 impressions.

Discovery's GOLD RUSH dropped yet again, to 3.93 million viewers, but still led the night in adults men 18-49 (1.72 rating) males 12-34 (0.98) and people 25-54 (1.64); DEADLIEST JOB INTERVIEW was at 0.72/0.43/0.7 in those demos with 1.63 million viewers. On Lifetime, BRING IT! rose almost 200K viewers, to 1.54 million (0.99 in W18-49, 0.92 in F12-34), and RAP GAME returned to 1.34 million (0.87/0.89). OWN's LOVE THY NEIGHBOR was at 608,000/627,000 for its two episodes (from 656K/701K), and WeTV's EX ISLE dipped to 295,000 (from 307K). On HBO REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHAR rose to 1.32 million viewers (0.33 in M18-49), and ANIMALS began with 239,000. The 47TH ANNUAL NAACP IMAGE AWARDS, on TV One, brought in 664,000 viewers, a sneak preview of HERE WE GO AGAIN had 399,000 viewers, and BORN AGAIN VIRGIN was seen by 262,000. Finally, EASIEST GAME SHOW EVER, on Pop, had 69,000 and 66,000 for its two episodes (from 104K).

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE, on MSNBC, led all of cable in total viewers (4.47 million) as well as in both people 25-54 (1.01 rating) and people over 50 (3.11) while WWE SMACKDOWN!, on USA, led in most other demos including men & women 18-49 (0.99/0.71) and people 18-34 (0.78); it ranked second in viewership with 2.66 million. A&E's THE FIRST 48 dropped to 1.43m (from 1.61m), and NIGHTWATCH fell to 1.3m (from 1.56m). TOP CHEF, on Bravo, dipped to 928,000 viewers (0.54 rating in W18-49), and RECIPE FOR DECEPTION dropped almost 100K viewers, to 295,000. Over on USA, COLONY dropped to 1.15m in its fourth week (from 1.21m), and on FX, BASKETS was down slightly to 625,000 in its third week (from 658K). On MTV RIDICULOUSNESS ticked down to 754,000 (0.40/0.44 in F/M12-34), GREATEST PARTY STORY EVER was at 365,000 (from 436K), and BROKE A$$ GAME SHOW was seen by 252,000 (from 286K). On Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY JUNIOR rose to 1.27m (0.63 rating in W18-49), and CHILD GENIUS was up to 550,000 (from 534K). History's AMERICAN PICKERS led the night with 2.81 million viewers (0.55 18-49 rating), and NBA BASKETBALL (Golden State/Washington) led in Men 18-49 (1.38 rating), and had 2.26 million viewers; the other game had a 1.02 rating in that demo with 1.42 million viewers. On A&E, DUCK DYNASTY was down to 1.62m viewers (from 1.8m/1.85m), and JEP AND JESSICA had 1.43 million viewers (down from 1.6m/1.48m). MOB WIVES, on VH1, had a 0.64 in the women 18-49 demo (double the rating of Men), with 979,000 viewers, and SUITS, on USA, dropped to 1.51m viewers (0.64 in M18-49). Over at Lifetime, LITTLE WOMEN LA notched a 0.82 rating in W18-49 with 1.34 million viewers, and at MTV, CHALLENGE: BLOODLINES was strong in F12-34 (0.68) and logged 791,000 viewers. On FXX, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA rose to 563,000 this week (0.46 in P18-34), and MAN SEEKING WOMAN was rose from last week's season low 176K, to 251,000 viewers. TV Land's YOUNGER was up to 624,000 viewers (from 574K), and TEACHERS was up to 458,000 (from 422K). PREACHERS OF ATLANTA, on Oxygen, began with a modest 265,000 viewers, WHEELER DEALERS, on Velocity, began with 338,000, and KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE, on FYI, rose to 238,000 (from 216K). Among lower rated cables, LUCHA UNDERGROUND, on El Rey, ticked down to 125,000 viewers in its second week (from 130K), MASTER P'S FAMILY EMPIRE finished with 135,000 (from 143K), and FLIPPIN' RV'S, on GAC, was down to 98,000 viewers (from 118K). Finally, on Fuse, SATURDAY MORNING FEVER rose very slightly to 29,000 viewers (from 25K).

Portrait Artist of the Year (Ovation): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2021: 'Portrait Artist of the Year,' on Ovation, premiered October 18, 2015 to a zero rating with 2,000 viewers. In its run it never hit above a zero rating, and never averaged more than 43,000 viewers. It hit a viewership-low 1,000 viewers for its first season finale on November 29, 2015, but averaged 16,000 viewers for its second season finale on February 7, 2016. A third season premiered in 2018 and despite finally having an episode register a 0.01 rating, it still wasn't able to crack 10K viewers on average. A fourth and final 11-episode season aired from January 1-8, 2019, but I have no ratings information for it.

AMERICAN CRIME STORY, on FX, began with 5.111 million viewers (and a 1.96 18-49 rating), which is the highest rating of an FX premiere in the network's history. Here are some comparisons from other FX premieres: THE SHIELD is the only show to begin with a higher 18-49 rating (2.4), however it only pulled in 4.83 million viewers for its 2002 premiere, as well as 3.12M Households (4.1/7), 1.18M A18-34, 3.04M A18-49, 3.23M A25-54, & 1.74M Men 18-49. In 2010, JUSTIFIED had the second-highest premiere with 4.16 million viewers, 2.04M A18-49 (1.5), 1.42M Men 18-49, and 2.19M A25-54. Finally, NIP/TUCK premiered in 2003 with 3.701M viewers, 2.537M Households (2.4), 999,000 A18-34, 2.03M A18-49, and 2.15M A25-54.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, on Freeform, dropped to a series-low 1.39 million viewers (1.57 rating in females 12-34) which drops below the previous low of 1.49m from March 2015 (not including specials); and SHADOWHUNTERS was dropped 15K viewers to 960,000 (0.78 in that demo). On MTV, TEEN WOLF rose to 971,000 viewers (0.77 in F12-34), while SHANNARA dropped to 969,000 this week (0.49 in M12-34, 0.44 in F12-34). Lifetime's DANCE MOMS was up to 1.47m (0.86 in F12-34), and PITCH SLAPPED fell to 513,000 viewers (from 573K); and Syfy's THE EXPANSE concluded its inaugural season with 555,000 viewers for its 2 hours (from 721K). OUTSIDERS, on WGN America, was down to 840,000 viewers in its second episode (from 1.055m), but only dropped 0.04 in 18-49's from 0.33 to 0.29. GANGSTERS, on Reelz, ticked up to 231,000 viewers (from 227K), UNIQUE RIDES, on Velocity, began with 223,000, and PRANCING ELITES PROJECT, on Oxygen, dropped slightly to 289,000 (from 301K). Finally, among lower rated cables, FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES, on Esquire, had 160,000 viewers (from 179K), and INSIDE THE NFL had 84,000 viewers (from 86K).

On MTV, TEEN MOM rose 50K viewers to 1.73m (1.66 rating in F12-34), a TEEN MOM SPECIAL had 1.19m (1.11 rating), and TRUE LIFE had 597,000 (0.64). VANDERPUMP RULES, on Bravo, dropped to 1.35m viewers (0.99 rating in W18-49), and UNTYING THE KNOT fell 79K viewers, to 660,000. On Freeform, THE FOSTERS hit a series-low 789,000 viewers (0.62 rating in F12-34), and RECOVERY ROAD was down to 411,000 viewers (from 458K). Syfy's THE MAGICIANS was at 901,000 viewers (from 1.11m), and LOST GIRL returned for the second part of its fifth season with 458,000 (down from the 710K of the part 1 finale in June 2015). On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA rose to 3.08m viewers (from 2.85m), REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC was down almost half to 1.66m (down barely from 1.67m), and WORK OUT NEW YORK was at 732,000 (up from 721K). E!'s, KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS dropped 100K viewers to 1.89m, and HOLLYWOOD MEDIUM was at a solid 1.36m (from 1.4m). A&E's HOARDERS was at 946,000/1.035m for its two episodes (both up from 940K/936K), and Hallmark's ALL THINGS VALENTINE, was at 1.7 million. On Showtime, SHAMELESS had 1.704 million viewers (about even with last week's 1.697m), BILLIONS brought in 1.28m in its first episode not released early on VOD (from 950K), and THE CIRCUS dropped more than 40K viewers to 158,000. SNAPPED, on Oxygen, rose to 480,000 viewers (from 436K), A HAUNTING, on Destination America, had 294,000 (from 228K), and BROKEN SKULL CHALLENGE on CMT, was up to 446,000 (from 363K). On Smithsonian, X-RAY MEGA AIRPORT had 107,000 viewers (from 104K), on Weather, PROSPECTORS had a huge 572,000 viewers (up from 290K), and on Logo, RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE: RUVEALED was up slightly to 90,000 viewers (from 74K). Finally, among lower rated cables, CLOSEUP WITH THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, on SundanceTV, dropped to 55,000 viewers (from 81K), and on Ovation, RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY ticked up to 30,000 viewers (from 26K), while THE LOS ANGELES TIMES: THE ENVELOPE lost 3K viewers, down to 14,000.

On Lifetime, BRING IT! was up slightly to 1.35m (from 1.33m), but RAP GAME dropped to 1.17m (also from 1.33m). WeTV's MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP was down to 759,000 viewers (from 863K), and EX ISLE was down over 100K viewers, to 307,000. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR, on OWN, had 656,000 and 701,000 for its two episodes (from 739K/754K), and GSN's CHAIN REACTION was at 516,000/495,000 for its two (from 562K/514K). REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHAR, on HBO, was seen by 1.2 million, and EASIEST GAME SHOW EVER, on Pop, rose to 104,000 viewers for its one episode (from 97K/66K for last week's two). THE PEOPLE'S COUCH, on Bravo, dipped to 346,000 (from 402K), and PARANORMAL SURVIVOR, on Destination America, was up to 275,000 (from 248K).

THURSDAY JANUARY 28, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE, on Fox News, brought in 12.46 million viewers, about half of the 23.997m who watched the other Fox News debate on August 6, 2015, but up from the 11.09m who saw the debate on Fox Business two weeks ago. USA's COLONY was down to 1.21m viewers in its third week (from 1.26m), and WWE SMACKDOWN had 2.72m viewers. THE FIRST 48, on A&E, rose to 1.61m viewers (from 1.52m), and NIGHTWATCH had 1.56m viewers (from 1.41m). Bravo's TOP CHEF dropped back down to 973,000 viewers (from 1.15m), and FX's BASKETS took a big drop down to 658,000 viewers (from 1.04m). On Lifetime, PROJECT RUN WAY JUNIOR rose to 1.14m (from 1.06m), and CHILD GENIUS fell to 534,000 (from 609K). PARTY DOWN SOUTH, on CMT, began its fifth season with 497,000 viewers, and REDNECK ISLAND started with 385,000. On MTV, RIDICULOUSNESS ticked up to 776,000 (from 773K), BROKE A$$ GAME SHOW dropped to 286,000 viewers (from 379K), and GREATEST PARTY STORY EVER fell to 436,000 (from 527K). IFC's PORTLANDIA was down in its second week, to 159,000 (from 207K), UP's BRINGING UP BATES had 224,000 viewers (from 246K), and BBC America's LONDON SPY dropped to 95,000 viewers in its second week (from 129K). Finally, DARK NET, on Showtime, fell to 73,000 (from 126K).

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 27, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

AMERICAN PICKERS, on History, led the night in total viewers with 2.54 million, and NBA BASKETBALL (Dallas vs. Golden State) led in the 18-49's (1.13) with 2.09m viewers. A&E's DUCK DYNASTY was at 1.8m/1.85m for its two episodes (down from 2.1m/2.13m), and JEP AND JESSICA was at 1.6m/1.48m for its two (down from 2.03m/1.78m). On USA, SUITS returned for the second part of its fifth season with 1.74 million viewers (down from 2.34m for the summer finale), and on TruTV, FACE OFF rose to 1.08m (from 971K). FXX's IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA dropped to 478,000 viewers (from 609K), and MAN SEEKING WOMAN fell to 176,000 (from 254K). YOUNGER aired on both TV Land and Nick-at-Nite and scored a cumulative 1.17 million viewers (574,000/594,000 respectively), and TEACHERS also aired on both networks, bringing in 944,000 cumulative viewers (422,000/522,000 respectively). MASTER P'S FAMILY EMPIRE, on Reelz, dropped to 143,000 (from 170K), BLOOD FEUDS, on AHC, was down to 232,000 (from 280K), and KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE, on FYI, fell over 130K viewers to 216,000. Among lower rated cables, FINDING MY FATHER, on Oxygen, was at 150,000 (from 253K), RICH IN FAITH was at 48,000/37,000 for its two episodes (way down from 142K), and SATURDAY MORNING FEVER, on Fuse, began with 25,000 viewers. Finally, LUCHA UNDERGROUND, on El Rey, started its second season with a series high 130,000 viewers, which was up from the 92,000 viewers of the first season finale, and hugely up from the 14,000 of the series premiere in 2014.

TUESDAY JANUARY 26, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

THE CURSE OF OAK ISLAND, on History, led the night in the 18-49's (0.93), and had 3.17 million viewers, while FIXER UPPER, on HGTV, led in total viewers with 3.67 million (0.89 in 18-49's). On Freeform, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS dropped more than 10K viewers to 1.65m (1.76 rating in females 12-34), and SHADOWHUNTERS fell 31K viewers to 975,000 (0.71 in F12-34), while on MTV, TEEN WOLF rose 10K viewers to 916,000 (0.68 in F12-34_, and SHANNARA took a huge jump to 1.03m (from 751K). Lifetime's DANCE MOMS slipped to 1.34m (0.85 in W18-49, 0.75 in F12-34), and PITCH SLAPPED rose to 573,000 (from 526K). THE PROFIT, on CNBC, jumped to 697,000 viewers (from 605K), THE EXPANSE, on Syfy, was up over 200K viewers to 721,000, and PRANCING ELITES PROJECT, on Oxygen, dropped 50K viewers to 301,000 for its second episode of the season. MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT aired on both A&E (1.22 million) and FYI (500,000), FIT TO FAT TO FIT aired just on A&E (722,000), and BLACK LOVE was just on FYI (170,000); both A&E airings were up from last week, while both FYI airings were down. Among lower rated cables, FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES, on Esquire, dipped to 179,000 (from 185K), INSIDE THE NFL, on Showtime, dropped to 86,000 (from 122K), and AMERICAN HARVEST, on RFD, concluded its first season with 42,000 viewers (up slightly from 38K). Finally, GANGSTERS, on Reelz, ticked up to 227,000 (from 224K).

OUTSIDERS, on WGN America, began with 1.055 million viewers and a 0.33 18-49 rating. This premiere was lower than the SALEM premiere in 2014 (0.51/1.521 million), but higher than the 2014 premiere of MANHATTAN (0.20/904,000), and the 2015 premiere of OUTLAW COUNTRY (0.03/135,000).

Top 35 Shows on Twitter: Week Ending February 1, 2016

THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE led the week on Twitter with a unique audience of 6.19 million, and 162.8 million impressions, as well as 221,000 unique authors writing over 1.07m tweets. THE 22ND ANNUAL SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS, on TNT, is second on the night with a unique audience exceeding 4.35 million, 51.17m impressions, along with 80,000 authors and 212,000 tweets. Among tween and teen dramas, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, on Freeform, had 131,000 tweets, and 5.63m impressions, TEEN WOLF had 124,000 tweets, and 2.7m impressions, and THE 100 had 61,000 tweets, and 2.33m impressions. Two shows I don't get viewers for: PBS's DOWNTON ABBEY and NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE both made the Top 35, with the former at 15,000/1.93m, and the latter at 3,000/224,000. In its second week, BEOWULF, on Esquire, brought in a mere 300 tweets, 100 authors, but had a sizable 258,000 impressions.

MONDAY JANUARY 25, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Monday January 25, 2016:

WWE ENTERTAINMENT, on USA Network, led the night averaging 4.1 million viewers for its 3 hours; the breakdowns for each hour were: 4.14m/4.18m/3.97m (1.83, 1.98, 2.05 ratings in men 18-49 respectively). On VH1, LOVE & HIP HOP dropped just 10K viewers to 2.78m (2.09 rating in women 18-49), and HIT THE FLOOR was down to 1.55m (1.12 rating in that demo); while K. MICHELLE: MY LIFE and STEVIE J & JOSEINE both premiered to 2.25m and 2.56m respectively (1.69 and 1.85 in W18-49). Bravo's VANDERPUMP RULES lost 180K, to 1.6m, and UNTYING THE KNOT dropped almost 60K viewers to 739,000 (1.05 and 0.43 in W18-49). On Freeform, THE FOSTERS returned for the second part of its third season with a 0.98 rating in F12-34 and 1.05 million viewers (down from 1.24m for the part 1 finale in August), and RECOVERY ROAD began with a dismal 458,000 viewers. RECOVERY ROAD's premiere is far off the premiere of SHADOWHUNTERS (Freeform's first series) which began with 1.82m viewers two weeks ago. Syfy's THE MAGICIANS returned for its second episode with a modest 1.11 million viewers; this was up from the 916K from the premiere in December and from the 854K who watched the second episode of THE EXPANSE.  ANGIE TRIBECA, on TBS, technically aired a rerun of the first episode which found 692,000, and AMERICAN DAD began its 13th season with 1.04m viewers (down from the 1.11m who watched the 12th season finale). TruTV's FAMELESS was at 447,000/352,000 for its two episodes (from 445K/334K), Fox Business's STRANGE INHERITANCE was at 181,000/165,000 for its two (from 137K/124K), and BBC America's ALMOST ROYAL was at 40,000/25,000 for its two (from 91K/55K). Finally, both shows on TV One were down: JUSTICE BY ANY MEANS to 269,000 (from 330K), and FATAL ATTRACTION to 299,000 (from 351K).
