Top 35 Shows on Twitter: Week Ending March 21, 2016

THE WALKING DEAD again dominated the week on Twitter with 4.09 million unique viewers and 443,000 tweets (and 32.12M impressions). FOX's THE PASSION fared decently with 133,000 tweets seen by 2.18M unique individuals (and 18.41M impressions). Premieres: AWKWARD. returned with 15,000 tweets and 524,000 unique viewers, THE AMERICANS began its fourth season with 6,000 tweets and 370,000 viewers, and NASHVILLE returned for the second part of its season with 27,000 tweets and 366,000 viewers. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS concluded its sixth season with 231,000 tweets and a very high 1.78 million viewers (with 8.15M impressions). GREY'S ANATOMY led among Shondaland shows with 1.19M views and 58,000 tweets, followed by the season finale of HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (1.03M/116,000), and finally SCANDAL (990,000/79,000). Elsewhere: AMERICAN CRIME STORY stayed strong (30,000 tweets with 991,000 views), and the penultimate episode of BLACK SAILS had 5,000 tweets with 203,000 views. Finally, DANCING WITH THE STARS began with 93,000 tweets and a whopping 3.18M views.

SATURDAY MARCH 19, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Saturday March 19, 2016:

Four NCAA BASKETBALL games were on top for the day. On TBS, Providence/North Carolina led with 4.06 million viewers (with a strong 2.12 rating in men 18-49), Butler/Virginia was second with 2.34 million (1.06 in that demo), and on TNT, Gonzaga/Utah had 1.78 million (0.80), while Little Rock/Iowa State was at 1.21 million (0.58). In women 18-49, the four games were at 0.99, 0.52, 0.41 and 0.27 respectively.

Elsewhere, SCHOOL OF ROCK was down 1.68 million viewers in its second week (0.53 F12-34 rating). On that same net was HENRY DANGER at 2.023 million (0.59 in F12-34) and BELLA AND THE BULLDOGS at 1.463 million (0.44). The penultimate episode of BLACK SAILS, on Starz, dropped to 608,000, the lowest ratings its had for a penultimate episode (703,000 in 2014, and 653,000 in 2015). On OWN, WHERE ARE THEY NOW? rose over 100K viewers to 456,000, and FOR PEETE'S SAKE premiered to 639,000. KILLERPOST, on Oxygen, rose to 340,000, MOUNTAIN MONSTERS, on Destination America, was about even with last week at 411,000, and BEOWULF, on Esquire, was up to 203,000. Finally among lower-rated cables, BEING, on Centric, toppled to 115,000 (from 203K), and THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE shed 30K to 142,000.

FRIDAY MARCH 18, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Friday March 18, 2016:

Happy Easter! Not including NCAA Basketball, Lifetime's BRING IT! led the day in the 18-49s (0.48) and had 1.19 million viewers (0.74 in W18-49, 0.67 in F12-34); a BRING IT! SPECIAL brought in 976,000 (0.55/0.53). On HBO, REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER rose to 1.46 million (0.39 in M18-49, 0.23 in women), and ANIMALS. dropped to 60K viewers to 187,000. BUNK'D, on Disney Channel, was down to 1.37 million (0.55 in F12-34), and STUCK IN THE MIDDLE ticked up to 1.67 million (0.72 in that demo). On Destination America, PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN rose to 400,000 viewers (from 354K) and on Showtime, a special (STEVE-O GUILTY AS CHARGED) brought in 165,000. Finally, SLASHER, on Chiller, was even at 67,000 viewers.

THURSDAY MARCH 17, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Thursday March 17, 2016:

The NCAA TOURNAMENT led the night with 12 different games airing on 3 different networks. The 4 TBS games averaged 1.96 million viewers (but it was brought down by one airing that had 641,000), the 4 TNT games averaged 1.54 million (lowest airing was 979,000), and 4 TruTV airings averaged 847,000 viewers. Available men 18-49 ratings were provided in the chart.

Elsewhere, History's VIKINGS lost 200K viewers down to 2.13 million (0.73 in M18-49, 1.13 in P50+), and USA Network's WWE SMACKDOWN was at 0.82 in M18-49 with 2.26 million. COLONY, on USA, finished its first season with its highest audience since January 28th (1.21 mil) with 1.19 million tuning in for its season finale (0.38 in M18-49, 0.30 in women). On FX, the penultimate episode of the first season of BASKETS drew 500,000 viewers (0.24/0.20), its highest audience since February 18th (649,000). Over at Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY ALL STARS logged a 0.56 W18-49 with 1.44 million viewers, and at Bravo, TOP CHEF rose to 1.17 million viewers (0.55 in W18-49) MARY MARY, on WeTV, was down to 477,000 viewers, and on CMT, PARTY DOWN SOUTH dropped to 455,000, and REDNECK ISLAND ticked down to 377,000. Among lower rated cables were IFC's PORTLANDIA (131,000), Velocity's AMERICARNA (238,000), UP's BRINGING UP BATES (208,000), and Showtime's GIGOLOS (105,000).

Live +7 Cable Ratings: Top 100 Shows on DVR in 2015

Below are the top 100 cable shows in 2015 based on DVR ratings. THE WALKING DEAD, on AMC, led the year with an average of 19.49 million Live+7 viewers over the course of its 16 episodes and had a 10.1 18-49 rating, while FEAR THE WALKING DEAD was in second place with 6.1/11.84 million. Also on AMC, BETTER CALL SAUL was at 3.2/6.51m, INTO THE BADLANDS rose to 2.7/5.59m, and the final season of MAD MEN pulled a 1.3/3.65m for its 7 episodes. On HBO, GAME OF THRONES averaged 9.51 million viewers and a 4.9 18-49 rating in Live+7, TRUE DETECTIVE rose to 1.8/4.03m, BALLERS had 1.5/2.79m, and SILICON VALLEY averaged 1.4/2.43m in Live+7.

Other shows in the top 100 include: ABC Family's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (1.4/2.94m), Starz's POWER (1.0/2.18m), and FXX's IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA (0.8/1.22m). USA's SUITS had a 1.2 18-49 rating, and 3.7m DVR viewers, while the critically acclaimed MR. ROBOT averaged a 1.1 and 2.74 million L+7 viewers. On Showtime, SHAMELESS averaged a 1.1 in the 18-49s and 2.45 million viewers, while HOMELAND averaged a 0.9 and 2.65m. Many FX shows made the top 100: led by AMERICAN HORROR STORY (3.4/6.38m), followed by THE STRAIN (1.2/2.73m), the final season of JUSTIFIED (1.2/3.78m), critical darling FARGO (1.0/3.08m), and the short-lived BASTARD EXECUTIONER (0.9/2.54m). Finally, TBS's GROUND FLOOR occupied its namesake with a 0.8 and 1.81 million.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 16, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Wednesday March 16, 2016:

TruTV's NCAA BASKETBALL game between Michigan & Tulsa led the Wednesday cable ratings among adults 18-49 (0.74), men of that demo (1.00), 18-34 (0.58), and males 12-34 (0.73). In total viewers it was at 2.16 million. HGTV's PROPERTY BROTHERS led the day in the 18-49s with a 0.56 rating (0.67 in W18-49, 0.44 in men) and had 2.16 million viewers. LITTLE WOMAN LA, on Lifetime, was down to 1.3 million viewers (0.86 in W18-49, 0.57 in F12-34), but LITTLE WOMAN ATL rose to 1.29 million (0.80/0.61). VH1's MOB WIVES also scored well in those demos, delivering a 0.74 in W18-49 & 0.54 in F12-34 with 1.13 million viewers. At FX, THE AMERICANS began its fourth season with 1.11 million viewers (0.31 in M18-49, 0.25 in women), its lowest premiere number yet, and down from both the third season premiere (1.9 million) & finale (1.22 million). YOUNG & HUNGRY, on Freeform, ticked down to 518,000 viewers (0.35 in F12-34), and BABY DADDY fell to 530,000 (0.40 in that demo). MTV's CATFISH SPECIAL was at 0.41 in F12-34 with 428,000 viewers. On WGN America, UNDERGROUND took a huge fall in its second week to 989,000 (0.29 W18-49 rating, 0.24 in men), down from 1.42 million for its series-premiere. On TV Land, the penultimate episode of the second season of YOUNGER rose to 654,000 viewers (0.34 in W18-49), and the season finale of TEACHERS rose slightly to 344,000. Elsewhere, Pop's SCHITT'S CREEK began its second season with 238,000 viewers and a 0.06 demo rating, down slightly in viewership from the 2015 series premiere (275,000), but up from the first season finale (86,000). Among lower rated cables was Sundance's HAP AND LEONARD,(197,000), Oxygen's PREACHERS OF ATLANTA (180,000), and El Rey's LUCHA UNDERGROUND (100,000).

TUESDAY MARCH 15, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Tuesday March 15, 2016:

Outside of cable news election coverage, FX's AMERICAN CRIME STORY led the day in adults 18-49 (1.17) 18-34 (0.98), and males 12-34 (0.88); it also averaged 2.88 million viewers and was at 1.23 & 1.11 in men/women 18-49. On OWN, THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS concluded its second season with 2.85 million viewers (1.07 W18-49 rating), and IF LOVING YOU IS WRONG returned for the second part of its second season with 2.47 million (1.04 in that demo - same as HGTV's FIXER UPPER). Bravo's REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS also pulled strong numbers in that demo (1.00) and logged 1.7 million viewers. OUTSIDERS, on WGN America, rose to 737,000 viewers, and was even among men & women 18-49 (both 0.28 rating). Over at Freeform, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS concluded its sixth season with 1.19 million viewers (1.32 F12-34 rating), and SHADOWHUNTERS fell over 200K viewers, to 784,000 (0.61 in that demo). BAD GIRLS CLUB, on Oxygen, began its 15th season with 575,000 viewers (more than double from last week's special: 249,000), and PRANCING ELITES PROJECT doubled to 364,000. DANCE MOMS, on Lifetime, ticked up to 1.26 million (0.74 in F12-34, 0.71 in W18-49), while THE MOTHER/DAUGHTER EXPERIMENT dropped 100K to 410,000. AWKWARD, on MTV, began the second half of its fifth season with 517,000 viewers (0.56 W18-34 rating), and FAKING IT began its third season with a series-low 284,000. Other programs of note include Esquire's FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES (196,000), Reelz's GANGSTERS (157,000), Velocity's LEGENDARY MOTORCAR (211,000), and TV One's HERE WE GO AGAIN (89,000) & BORN AGAIN VIRGIN (69,000).

MONDAY MARCH 14, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Monday March 14, 2016:

AMC's BETTER CALL SAUL dropped to a series low in total viewers: 1.99 million (down from 2.2 mil), and delivered a 1.17 rating in men 18-49 rating (0.45 in women). For comparison, the fifth episode of the second season of BREAKING BAD only had 1.21 million viewers.

Without the help of LOVE & HIP HOP, VH1's K. MICHELLE: MY LIFE fell to 1.06 million viewers (0.76 rating in W18-49), STEVIE J & JOSELINE was down nearly 50% to 982,000 (0.64), and HIT THE FLOOR dipped to 920,000 (0.68). Other top W18-49 returns came from Bravo's VANDERPUMP RULES (1.05 rating), ABC Family's THE FOSTERS (0.47, and 0.67 in F12-34), and two MTV TEEN MOM II specials at 9pm (0.65/0.65), and 10pm (0.70/0.67). On USA, three hours of WWE ENTERTAINMENT had 1.56/1.60/1.79 ratings in M18-49 & 3.47 mil/3.39 mil/3.51 mil in total viewers. AMERICAN DAD, on TBS, was down to 1.01 million (0.67 in M18-49) while FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE rose to another series-high 707,000 (0.25 in W18-49, 0.41 in men); and an ANGIE TRIBECA rerun ("The Inside Man") found 623,000 (0.22/0.37). On Syfy, THE MAGICIANS rose 40K viewers, to 712,000 (0.27  in W18-49, 0.29 in men), LOST GIRL ticked up to 387,000, and BITTEN was down slightly to 332,000. A&E's BATES MOTEL lost 100K to 1.45 million (0.73 in W18-49), and DAMIEN fell over 200K viewers, to 535,000. Other programs of note include AHC's AGAINST THE ODDS (237,000), Logo's RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE (358,000), and Smithsonian's MAJOR LEAGUE LEGENDS (113,000).

Top Cable Networks: Week Ending March 13, 2016

Cable News channels again led the week in both primetime and total day. CNN led in primetime (3.06 million), while FOX NEWS took the win in total day (1.42m). Other networks included FOX BUSINESS with 116,000 in primetime, and 97,000 total day; CNBC (339,000/148,000), and MSNBC (941,000/540,000). AMC also had a solid week in primetime (1.69m) no doubt helped by 'The Walking Dead.' Other networks of interest include FREEFORM (703,000 in primetime), FX (919,000), and OXYGEN (238,000). In its first week with 2 scripted originals airing, WGN AMERICA hauled in an average of 362,000 viewers in primetime. Losers for the week include CENTRIC (53,000), CLOO (37,000), and VH1 CLASSIC (34,000).

Top 35 Shows on Twitter: Week Ending March 14, 2016

Both the REPUBLICAN DEBATE and DEMOCRATIC DEBATE made their way to the top 3 for the week on Twitter. The former had over 1M more tweets than the latter (1.72M vs. 670,000), over 3M more unique views (7.82M vs. 4.80M), and over 200K more unique authors (400,000 vs. 169,000). The season finale of THE BACHELOR was in second place with 703,000 tweets, 6.75M unique views, and more than 116M impressions. THE KIDS CHOICE AWARDS generated 457,000 tweets (contributed by 160,000 people) that were seen by 4.5M people (with 18.86M impressions). PRETTY LITTLE LIARS had 65,000 tweets with 798,000 unique views, while TEEN WOLF was at (177,000/765,000), and ONCE UPON A TIME was at (49,000/583,000). All 3 Shondaland shows made the list again this week: GREY'S ANATOMY had 57,000 tweets with 1.75M unique views (& 3.51M impressions), SCANDAL was at (81,000/1.19M), and the penultimate episode of HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER was at (76,000/1.1M). The season premiere of THE CARMICHAEL SHOW had 9,000 tweets written by 4,000 individuals, that were seen by 606,000 unique people. Finally, THE VICTORIA'S SECRET SWIM SPECIAL brought in 44,000 tweets and 951,000 views.

SUNDAY MARCH 13, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Sunday March 13, 2016:

AMC's THE WALKING DEAD again led the day with 12.53 million viewers, and led in all demos: households (6.77), P18-49 (5.69), P18-34 (4.93), P25-54 (6.60), and 50+ (3.22). The gender breakdown favored the males in all 3 demos: in the 12-34s, it was split 4.23/5.10, in the 18-34s, it was 4.63/5.22, and in the 18-49s, it was 5.57/6.35. TALKING DEAD rose to 5.06 million viewers this week, and performed well in all demos as well: households (2.84), 18-49 (2.34), 18-34 (4.93), 25-54 (6.60), and 50+ (3.22).

Elsewhere on cable, LAST WEEK TONIGHT, on HBO, rose to 962,000 (0.50 in M18-49, 0.24 in women), GIRLS dipped to 479,000 (0.28 in W18-34/0.15 in men), VINYL was up to 618,000, and TOGETHERNESS fell to 264,000 (its second-lowest numbers ever). Showtime's SHAMELESS was up to 1.68 million this week and skewed female in all demos, most especially in the 18-34s (0.61 vs. 0.43); BILLIONS ticked up to 1.09 million and notched a 0.37 18-49 rating (0.48 in M18-49, 0.25 in women), and THE CIRCUS had 219,000. In its second episode of the season, I AM CAIT, on E!, rose to 771,000 (0.44 in W18-49), and HOLLYWOOD MEDIUM rose to 784,000 (0.39 in that demo). Over at Disney Channel, both KC UNDERCOVER & LIV AND MADDIE pulled their usual strong numbers in F12-34 (0.89 & 0.81) and total viewers (2.14 mil/1.93 mil). Other programs of note include Ovation's RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY (54,000), ROUGH DRAFT WITH REZA ASLAN (14,000), and LILY COLE'S ART MATTERS (1,000).

SATURDAY MARCH 12, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Saturday March 12, 2016:

THE KIDS CHOICE AWARDS easily led the Saturday night cable ratings with a cumulative 4.426 million viewers from 5 different networks. The Nickelodeon run was obviously the highest, with a 0.72 18-49 rating and 3.32 million viewers. It also delivered a 1.22 rating in F12-34, and a 0.82 in M12-34, and if we look even younger, it was at 2.82 in F12-17, & 1.83 in M12-17 (average of 2.33 among Teens 12-17).

The other networks: TeenNick, Nicktoons, TV Land and CMT, had a cumulative 1.11 million for the awards show. Also on Nickelodeon, SCHOOL OF ROCK premiered to 2.38 million and a 0.49 18-49 rating. Among younger demos, the show pulled a 0.88 in Females 12-34, a 0.53 in Males 12-34, and a whopping 1.67 in teens 12-17.

Elsewhere on cable, COLLEGE BASKETBALL, on ESPN ruled the day. The top ACC game was Virginia/North Carolina, with 2.81 million viewers, and a 1.29 in men 18-49. The top Big 12 game was West Virginia/Kansas which had 2.42 million (0.96 M18-49), and top SEC game was Georgia/Kentucky which had 1.97 million (0.80 M18-49). BLACK SAILS, on Starz, rose to 677,000 viewers, and managed a 0.22 in the 18-49's, and a 0.34 in Adults 50+. GHOST ADVENTURES, on Travel, was strong with 901,000 viewers (way up from 696K), and KILLER POST, on Oxygen, scraped together 274,000 (from 198K). Centric's BEING doubled to 203,000, Destination America's MOUNTAIN MONSTERS was down to 411,000, and Esquire's BEOWULF rose slightly to 164,000. Elsewhere was Reelz's AUTOPSY (272,000) & COPYCAT KILLERS (151,000), and Ovation's THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE (172,000).

FRIDAY MARCH 11, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Friday March 11, 2016:

Without GOLD RUSH airing, Lifetime's BRING IT! nabbed the number 1 spot for the day with a 0.55 18-49 rating, and 1.32 million viewers (from 1.19m). The show also pulled in high numbers in females 12-34, and women 18-49, where it was at 0.72 and 0.83 respectively. On Disney Channel, GIRL MEETS WORLD delivered the day's best numbers in F12-34 (0.90) and logged 1.7 million viewers, STUCK IN THE MIDDLE was down to 1.64 million for its second episode (0.74 rating in that demo), and BUNK'D dipped to 1.5 million (also 0.74). Elsewhere, HBO's REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER was at a high 0.85 in Adults 50+, and ticked up to 1.4 million viewers, VICE dropped to 525,000, and ANIMALS. lost 43K to 247,000. Among lower rated cables, SLASHER, on Chiller, lost half of its viewership week-to-week to 67,000, and THE METHOD, on Ovation, premiered with a low 24,000/13,000 for its two episodes.

THURSDAY MARCH 10, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Thursday March 10, 2016:

CNN's GOP DEBATE led the cable ratings Thursday with 11.81 million viewers, and also led among adults 18-49 (2.39), men & women of that demo (2.87 & 1.93), adults 18-34 (1.65), adults 25-54 (3.08), and people over 50 (7.78). Despite the huge viewership, it was down from last Thursday's REPUBLICAN DEBATE on Fox News which was at 16.83 million. Over at Bravo, TOP CHEF notched a 0.47 W18-49 rating with 921,000 viewers, and at Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY ALL STARS logged a 0.48 in that demo with 1.22 million. Top scoring programs in the men 18-49 demo include USA's WWE SMACKDOWN at 0.78 (2.19 million viewers) and TNT's NBA BASKETBALL game between the Cavaliers & Lakers at 1.14 (1.78 million). On History, VIKINGS leaped to 2.33 million viewers (0.79 in M18-49, 1.18 in P50+), and on TruTV, IMPRACTICAL JOKERS dropped to 651,000 viewers. The penultimate episode of the season for USA Network's COLONY rose to 1.09 million viewers (0.41 in M18-49, 0.34 in women), and FX's BASKETS was down ever so slightly to 396,000 viewers (0.21/0.15). Other programs of note include UP's BRINGING UP BATES (252,000), Velocity's AMERICARNA (178,000), IFC's PORTLANDIA (127,000), BBC America's PREY (30,000), and Showtime's DARK NET (52,000).

WEDNESDAY MARCH 9, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

The UNIVISION DEMOCRATIC DEBATE, on CNN, easily led the night with 3.95 million viewers and also led in adults 18-49 (0.94), men 18-49 (1.17), adults 18-34 (0.71), and adults 25-54 (1.13). At TNT, an NBA BASKETBALL game between the Clippers & Thunder brought in the best numbers on the day in males 12-34 (0.92), ranked second in men 18-49 (0.93), and logged 1.53 million viewers. Elsewhere, the series premiere of UNDERGROUND, on WGN America, brought in a 0.39 adults 18-49 rating (0.31 in men, 0.47 in women) with 1.42 million viewers, besting January's premiere of OUTSIDERS (1.06 million), and was the most viewed episode of a WGN America original series since the premiere of SALEM back in April 2014 (1.52 million). Over at VH1, MOB WIVES delivered the day's best W18-49 rating (0.86) with 1.25 million, and at Lifetime, both LITTLE WOMEN LA (0.85) and LITTLE WOMEN ATL (0.74) were close behind. The season finale of FXX's IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA was a season-low 460,000 viewers (from 485K last week), and its lowest finale rating ever. On Freeform, YOUNG & HUNGRY was up to 529,000 (0.46 F12-34 rating), and BABY DADDY jumped to 573,000 (0.45); MTV's CATFISH also scored well in the F12-34 demo with a 0.78 & 832,000 viewers. Both TV Land entries dropped from last week; YOUNGER to 616,000 (from 643K), and TEACHERS to 340,000 (from 426K). The second episode of HAP AND LEONARD, on SundanceTV, fell to 271,000 viewers (from 429K), and the fourth episode of AMERICAN LAWMEN, on AHC, rose to a series-high 297,000 (from 210K).

TUESDAY MARCH 8, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Tuesday March 8, 2016:

FX's AMERICAN CRIME STORY led all of Tuesday cable with a 1.24 adults 18-49 rating (1.17 in men, 1.3 in women) and 3 million viewers, pulling its best ratings in adults 25-54 (1.34). On Freeform, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS garnered a 1.33 females 12-34 rating with 1.26 million viewers, and SHADOWHUNTERS notched a 0.70 in that demo with 952,000 viewers, both up from last week (1.15 mil and 871K). The series premiere of TBS's SEPARATION ANXIETY scored a 0.41 in women 18-49 with 947,000 viewers, and OWN's HAVES AND HAVE NOTS logged a 0.98 in that demo (same as HGTV's FIXER UPPER) with 2.64 million. Among lower-rated cables was Esquire's FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES (258,000), Reelz's GANGSTERS (213,000), and Velocity's UNIQUE RIDES (286,000).

Three hours of WWE ENTERTAINMENT, on USA, led in the 18-49s (1.29 rating/1.27/1.23), men 18-49 (1.67/1.68/1.66), and was at 3.76 mil, 3.61mil, and 3.28 mil in total viewers. AMC's BETTER CALL SAUL was even at 2.2 million viewers, and was strongest in men 18-49 (1.21). At VH1, all four programs were down week-to-week: LOVE & HIP HOP to 2.26 million (1.88 in W18-49), STEVIE J & JOSELINE to 1.71 mil (1.34), K MICHELLE: MY LIFE to 1.5 mil (1.10), and HIT THE FLOOR to 1.11 mil (0.85). Elsewhere in W18-49, Bravo's VANDERPUMP RULES was at 1.01 in the demo with 1.52 million viewers. On TBS, AMERICAN DAD rose to 1.14 million (0.74 in M18-49, 0.76 in M12-34), FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE hit another series-high in viewership (687,000), and an ANGIE TRIBECA rerun ("Tribeca's Day-Off") collected 690,000. THE FOSTERS, on Freeform, leaped to 844,000 (0.63 in F12-34), and RECOVERY ROAD was up a bit to 484,000. Elsewhere was Syfy's THE MAGICIANS (672,000) & LOST GIRL (384,000), and BITTEN (332,000). Finally, on Smithsonian, MAJOR LEAGUE LEGENDS doubled to 153,000.

The two debates led the week on Twitter; THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE generated over 2.31 million tweets, written by 528,000 people, that were seen by a unique audience of 8.67M (with 259.99M impressions). THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE had only 923,000 tweets (enough for second on the week), written by 222,000 people, that were seen by 5.91M people (with 98.69M impressions). On the scripted side, THE WALKING DEAD again dominated everything else, with approximately 282,000 tweets seen by almost 3.1 million people. The series finale of DOWNTON ABBEY generated 66,000 tweets that were seen by 1.53M people, they also had more than 7.5M impressions. FX's AMERICAN CRIME STORY had 34,000 tweets, seen by 1.09M people, and CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS found its way onto this list with 25,000 tweets and a unique audience of 339,000. AMERICAN IDOL beat THE VOICE in tweets (112,000 vs. 54,000), unique authors (37,000 vs. 22,000), and unique audience (1.23M vs. 825,000), but interestingly was lower in total viewers (8.74M vs. 13.45M). On ABC, GREY'S ANATOMY and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER both did fine without SCANDAL this week: the former had 69,000 tweets seen by 1.73M, and the latter had 64,000 tweets seen by 911,000. Also on ABC, ONCE UPON A TIME returned for the second part of its season with 89,000 tweets and 786,000 unique viewers, while QUANTICO returned with only 17,000 tweets and 418,000 unique viewers. Finally, even though THE REAL O'NEALS started with only 5,000 tweets, it had a positive 452,000 unique viewers.

SUNDAY MARCH 6, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

AMC's THE WALKING DEAD unsurprisingly led the night, bringing in 12.82 million (basically even with last week), a 6.15 adults 18-49 rating (6.38 in men, 5.92 in women), a 5.12 in 18-34 (5.21 in men, 5.02 in women), and a 6.8 in 25-54. Lead-out TALKING DEAD had 4.84 million viewers and a 2.65 in A 25-54. At CNN, THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE delivered 5.51 million viewers, a 3.28 P50+ rating, and a 1.35 18-49 rating (1.15 in men, 1.56 in women). On Bravo, REALHOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA was down to 2.85 million from two weeks ago (1.85 in W18-49), but REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC was basically even at 1.63 million (1.12 in that demo). SHAMELESS, on Showtime, dropped 160K viewers from two weeks ago, to 1.5 million (0.60 in men 18-49, 0.64 in women), and BILLIONS dropped 120K, to 1.05 million (0.27/0.44). LAST WEEK TONIGHT led HBO's night with 824,000 viewers (0.42 in men 18-49 , 0.29 in women), GIRLS had 533,000 viewers (0.20/0.27), VINYL rose slightly to 577,000, and TOGETHERNESS brought in 321,000. On E!, I AM CAIT began its second season with a series-low 745,000 viewers (down from the 1.26 mil for the season 1 finale, and 2.73 mil for the series premiere); but logged a solid 0.42 W18-49 rating. Finally, Disney Channel's KC UNDERCOVER scored a 0.93 F12-34 rating with 2.08 million viewers.

Man Seeking Woman (FXX): Ratings Recap

UPDATED: FXX's 'Man Seeking Woman' premiered in January 2015 to a 0.19 18-49 rating and 326,000 viewers; those are both series-highs. The second season premiered in 2016 to a 0.17 rating and 280,000 viewers, and the third season premiered in 2017 to a 0.14 rating and 239,000 viewers. The show aired a total of 30 episodes over the course of 3 seasons where its lowest 18-49 mark was a 0.07, and its lowest viewership figure was 98,000.

SATURDAY MARCH 5, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

COLLEGE BASKETBALL (North Carolina/Duke) led the day among total viewers (3.17 million), adults 18-49 (1.01), and men 18-49 (1.4). On Discovery, MYTHBUSTERS concluded its 13-year run with 1.23 million & 1.17 million for its two finale episodes (up from last week's 834K), and saw its best demo scores in men 18-49 at 0.62 & 0.61 respectively. BLACK SAILS, on Starz, rose 55K viewers to 658,000, GHOST ADVENTURES, on Travel, lost ~80K to 696,000, and MOUNTAIN MONSTERS, on Destination America, was virtually even with last week at 464,000. Oxygen's #KILLERPOST fell ~100K viewers to 198,000, Esquire's BEOWULF logged 145,000, and Ovation's THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE was at 198,000. Elsewhere, was Reelz's AUTOPSY (221,000) & COPYCAT KILLERS (208,000), as well as the third season premiere of Centric's, BEING (117,000) which was down from both the 183,000 of the second season premiere and 169,000 of the second season finale.

FRIDAY MARCH 4, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Discovery's GOLD RUSH again led the day with 4.37 million viewers and had a 1.34 18-49 rating, bringing in strong numbers in men 18-49 (1.74), adults 25-54 (1.77), and people over 50 (2.24). BRING IT!, on Lifetime, was down to 1.19 million viewers, but was strong in females 12-34 (0.61 rating); also strong in that demo was Disney Channel's MAKO MERMAIDS (0.57 rating, 1.297 million viewers). Over at HBO, REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER ticked down to 1.34 million (0.41 in M18-49, 0.25 in women), while VICE rose to 603,000 viewers, and ANIMALS. was up slightly to 290,000. A sneak preview of SEPARATION ANXIETY, on TNT, found 407,000 viewers, and PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN, on Destination America, started with 386,000. Finally, the brand new Chiller original series SLASHER began with 120,000 and 110,000 for its two premiere episodes.

THURSDAY MARCH 3, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

Select Ratings from Original Cable telecasts on Thursday March 3, 2016:

The third Fox News REPUBLICAN DEBATE led the night on both broadcast and cable, with a 3.62 18-49 rating (4.29 in men, 2.96 in women), a 2.77 in 18-34 (3.24 in men, 2.30 in women), a 4.59 in 25-54, a whopping 10.91 in adults over 50, and 16.83 million total viewers. Viewership was up from the January 28th debate (12.47 million), but down from the huge August 6, 2015 debate (24 million).

TNT's coverage of NBA BASKETBALL between the Thunder & Warriors scored the second-best numbers on the day in men 18-49 (2.25) and males 12-34 (2.2), but the Spurs/Pelicans game was a bit lower in those demos (0.85/0.78). Elsewhere, TruTV's IMPRACTICAL JOKERS rose 100K viewers to 872,000 (0.48 in men 18-49, 0.40 in women), and THOSE WHO CAN'T was up by a similar margin to 384,000. COLONY, on USA, fell from 1 million to 968,000 (0.35 in M18-49, 0.31 in women), but WWE SMACKDOWN was up to 2.49 million (0.91 in M18-49). Bravo's TOP CHEF logged 881,000 viewers (0.50 in W18-49), while FX's BASKETS, dropped to a season low 399,000 viewers (0.16 in M18-49, 0.19 in women). A RIDICULOUSNESS SPECIAL, on MTV, delivered 439,000 viewers (0.26 in M12-34, 0.25 in females) and the regularly scheduled episode had 745,000 (0.43/0.35), and GREATEST PARTY STORY EVER jumped to 551,000. Finally, among lower rated cables, PORTLANDIA, on IFC, shed 20K viewers to 116,000, PREY, on BBC America, was identical with last week's 76,000, and the penultimate episode of DARK NET, on Showtime, doubled to 69,000 (from 37K).

Lifetime led the day in the 18-49s with LITTLE WOMAN ATL taking the top spot at 0.65 with 1.51 million viewers (up from 1.45m), and LITTLE WOMAN LA just behind at 0.64 with 1.62 million (both shows logged 0.94 W18-49 ratings). History's AMERICAN PICKERS led in total viewers with 2.53 million (0.58 M18-49 rating, 1.77 P50+), and PROPERTY BROTHERS, on HGTV, was second in viewership with 2.11 million. On USA, the penultimate episode of the season for SUITS collected 1.71 million (0.52 in W18-49, 0.51 in men), and on Syfy, FACE OFF lost 60K viewers to 860,000. Freeform's BABY DADDY dropped over 100K viewers week-to-week to 472,000 (0.37 in F12-34), and YOUNG & HUNGRY took a huge ~200K fall down to 440,000 (0.43 in that demo). Also scoring well in the F12-34s was MTV's CATFISH which logged a 0.68 rating and 764,000 viewers. On FXX, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA notched a 0.45 M18-34 rating with 485,000 viewers, and MAN SEEKING WOMAN hit a season-low 154,000 (and a dreadful 0.10 18-49 rating). YOUNGER, on TV Land, was down to 643,000 (0.33 in W18-49), and TEACHERS dipped to 426,000. Among lower rated cables were El Rey's LUCHA UNDERGROUND (124,000), Smithsonian's PREDATOR ROAD TRIP (48,000), and Fuse's SATURDAY MORNING FEVER (23,000).

TUESDAY MARCH 1, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

The ratings for various SUPER TUESDAY news telecasts are below the Cable Ratings table. CNN led all of the cable news networks in the 18-49 demo, ranging between 0.61 and 1.25 from 7pm-12am. Fox News led in total viewers, ranging from 2.77m and 5.14m from 7pm-12am. Finally MSNBC, averaged 1.53 million viewers from 6pm-12am.

Outside of cable news, FX's AMERICAN CRIME STORY led the day in the 18-49s with a 1.15 rating (1.18 in M18-49, 1.12 in women), and had 2.72 million viewers while HGTV's FIXER UPPER led the day in total viewers with 2.92 million , and had a 0.81 18-49 rating (1.05 in women, 0.57 in men). On OWN, THE HAVES AND THE HAVE NOTS fell to 2.8 million viewers (1.06 W18-49 rating), on Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS dropped to 1.67 million (0.97 in that demo), and on Discovery, MOONSHINERS was down to 1.59 million (0.78 in M18-49). PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, on Freeform, hit a series-low 1.15 million viewers (1.29 rating in F12-34), while SHADOWHUNTERS was actually up a tad to 871,000 (0.57 in that demo). The election overage didn't seem to affect MTV shows: TEEN WOLF, rose to 905,000 (0.66 in F12-34), and SHANNARA was up to 854,000 (0.45). WGN America's OUTSIDERS stayed strong with a 0.29 18-49 rating, and 728,000 total viewers (0.33 in M18-49). Lifetime's new series THE MOTHER DAUGHTER EXPERIMENT premiered its 8 episode season to the tune of 638,000 viewers, which was huge drop from the 0.49/1.29m lead-in it got from DANCE MOMS (0.75 in F12-34). Elsewhere was Esquire's FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES (250,000), Oxygen's PRANCING ELITES PROJECT (259,000), and Velocity's UNIQUE RIDES (155,000). Finally, among lower rated cables, 60 MINUTES SPORTS, on Showtime, had 40,000 viewers, and CHEF JULIAN, on Centric, logged a mere 13,000.

Here is a ranking of all the ad-supported cable networks for the week of February 29-March 6, 2016. The list is ordered based on total viewers in primetime (8-11pm). Fox News led the week with an average of 4.27 million viewers, and CNN was second with 2.11M. Some notables include AMC (1.6M), Freeform (787,000), MTV (529,000), and FXX (313,000). The losers for the week were VH1 CLASSIC (36,000), CLOO (32,000), and AL JAZEERA (25,000).

Three airings of WWE ENTERTAINMENT led the night in total viewers with 3.96 million at 8pm, 3.66 mil at 9pm, and 3.55 mil at 10pm, and notched 1.76/1.74/1.70 ratings in men 18-49. On VH1, LOVE & HIP HOP was level at 2.49 million (2.01 W18-49 rating, 1.82 in F12-34), HIT THE FLOOR dropped to 1.25 million (1.00/0.94 in those demos), STEVIE J & JOSELINE was down to 1.9 million (1.42/1.22), and K. MICHELLE: MY LIFE nosedived to 1.62 million (1.23/1.10). BETTER CALL SAUL, on AMC, dipped to 2.2 million viewers - a new series-low, although it is still strong in the 18-49's with 0.99 (1.33 in M18-49/0.65 in women). MAJOR CRIMES, on TNT, dropped to 2.94 million (0.48 in W18-49/2.25 in P50+), and VANDERPUMP RULES, on Bravo, was down to 1.43 million (1.06 W18-49 rating). On Freeform, THE FOSTERS dropped to a series-low 673,000 viewers (0.55 F12-34 rating), and RECOVERY ROAD was relatively even at 449,000. Syfy's THE MAGICIANS rose to 742,000, but LOST GIRL and BITTEN stayed lower, with 384,000 and 372,000 respectively. AMERICAN DAD, on TBS, was down very slightly to 1.03 million (0.65 in M18-49), an ANGIE TRIBECA rerun ("Ferret Royale") found 553,000 (vs. 713K from the first run), and FULL FRONTAL WITH SAMANTHA BEE hit 675,000, its highest number on TBS so far (surpassing 629K from the premiere). Finally, on Smithsonian, MAJOR LEAGUE LEGENDS logged 78,000.

THE OSCARS ruled this past week on Twitter. Over 1.79 million people contributed to 7.22M tweets, which were seen by approximately 12.91M people (with 782.8M impressions). The CNN REPUBLICAN DEBATE finished second, with 421,000 unique authors, and 2.22M tweets seen by 7.75M people (with 256.94M impressions). THE NFL SCOUTING COMBINE aired on four days from February 26 - February 29, averaging 18,000 tweets, and a unique audience of about 2.21M. THE WALKING DEAD continued to dominate, with 224,000 tweets written by 84,000 people that were seen by 3.1M. GREY'S ANATOMY led among Shondaland shows, with 113,000 tweets and a unique audience of 2.48M, it was followed by HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (60,000/1.18M), and SCANDAL (76,000/1.05M). GOTHAM made its long-awaited return with 39,000 tweets seen by approximately 781,000 people, and THE VOICE clocked in with 78,000 tweets seen by 1.85M. Among teen shows, TEEN WOLF led in audience and tweets (967,000/127,000), followed by PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (948,000/68,000), THE ORIGINALS (527,000/39,000), and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (499,000/53,000). Finally, about 1,000 people contributed to 3,000 tweets about BLACK SAILS on Saturday.

THE OSCARS led the night in 18-49's and viewers, averaging a 10.46 18-49 rating, and 34.43 million viewers over the course of its 3.5 hours. On cable, THE WALKING DEAD continued its dominance with 12.79 million viewers and a 6.08 18-49 rating (including 5.7 rating in W18-49/6.46 in men), and TALKING DEAD brought in a healthy 4.89 million viewers. Showtime's SHAMELESS and BILLIONS both took the night off, but THE CIRCUS dropped over 100K viewers down to just 82,000. HBO's VINYL and GIRLS were at identical 533,000's but the former was down from 667K, and the latter was up from 489K. Also on that network, TOGETHERNESS dropped almost 100K viewers to 336,000 (from 430K), and LAST WEEK TONIGHT led in total viewers with 699,000 (down from 919K). BROKEN SKULL CHALLENGE, on CMT, dropped to 424,000 (from 485K) but SNAPPED, on Oxygen, jumped to 489,000 (from 392K). Among lower rated cables, SUPERCAR SUPERBUILDS, on Smithsonian was down to 107,000 viewers (from 131K), but AIR DISASTERS ticked up to 263,000 (from 256K). Finally, on Ovation, ROUGH DRAFT WITH REZA ASLAN began with a mere 12,000 viewers, RACHEL HUNTER'S TOUR OF BEAUTY was at 20,000, and LILY COLE'S ART MATTERS managed a quiet 5,000 viewers.

Saturday was a slow night on cable. The movie SAN ANDREAS, on HBO, (not on this list) led the night in 18-49's and total viewers with a 0.97 and 2.82 million respectively. On ESPN, four COLLEGE BASKETBALL games aired and ranged between 801,000 and 1,859,000 viewers. MYTHBUSTERS, on Discovery, dropped to 834,000 viewers (from 958K), PITBULLS AND PAROLEES, on Animal Planet, rose to 1.17 million, and GHOST ADVENTURES, on Travel was up to 713,000. On Starz, BLACK SAILS dropped to 603,000 viewers this week, on Destination America, MOUNTAIN MONSTERS jumped to 460,000, and on Oxygen, KILLER POST was up to 301,000. Over at Nickelodeon, NICKY, RICKY, DICKY & DAWN notched a 0.38/0.42 females/males12-34 rating with 1.48 million viewers, GAME SHAKERS had 0.35/0.41 with 1.443 million, and 100 THINGS TO DO had 0.38/0.32 with 1.17 million. On Reelz, AUTOPSY fell to 193,000 viewers, and COPYCAT KILLERS began with 148,000. Among lower rated cables, THE ARTFUL DETECTIVE, on Ovation, had 178,000, GEORGEFEST, on VH1 Classic, had 22,000, and BEOWULF, on Esquire, was down to 159,000. Finally, on Fuse, THE LINEUP had 16,000 for its timeslot debut.

On Lifetime, BRING IT! dropped to 1.38 million viewers (0.81 rating in W18-49/0.79 in F12-34), and a special RAP GAME fell hard to 1.22 million (0.72/0.76). HBO's REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER brought in 1.4 million (0.29 in W18-49/0.39 in men), VICE rose to 542,000 for the fourth episode of the season, and ANIMALS. jumped almost 100K viewers to a series-high 282,000 viewers. On WEtv, MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP dropped over 150K viewers to 530,000 (0.35 W18-49 rating), EX ISLE ticked up to 230,000, and DAVID TUTERA CELEBRATIONS had 431,000. Finally, on Destination America, PARANORMAL SURVIVOR was up to 255,000 viewers.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 25, 2016 CABLE TV RATINGS

THE GOP DEBATE, on CNN, led the night with 13.10 million viewers, and brought in big numbers among men & women 18-49 (3.19/2.22), people 25-54 (3.37), and people over 50 (8.55). YjeAC360 special that aired afterwards brought in 3.89 million including  1.12 in P25-54 and 2.41 in P50+. On USA, COLONY rose to 1 million viewers, breaking the downward trend its had since its premiere (0.32/0.37 in women/men 18-49. Spike's LIP SYNC BATTLE dropped to 1.02 million viewers (0.51 in W8-49), and History's VIKINGS took a similar fall, down to 2.02 million (0.75 in M18-49/1.06 in P50+). On CMT, PARTY DOWN SOUTH rose to 638,000 viewers, and REDNECK ISLAND ticked up to 431,000. On Bravo, TOP CHEF was down to 833,000 (0.50 in F12-34), and on FX, BASKETS dropped to 483,000 (0.27 in M18-49). RIDICULOUSNESS, on MTV, was down to 652,000 viewers (0.43 in M12-34/0.30 in F12-34), and GREATEST PARTY STORY EVER had 438,000. On UP, BRINGING UP BATES rose to 238,000, and JO FROST: NANNY ON TOUR was up very slightly to 73,000. Among lower rated cables, PORTLANDIA, on IFC, was down almost 50K viewers to 116,000, and DARK NET, on Showtime, hit a series low 37,000 viewers, but that really isn't saying much considering that last week it was at 46K. Finally, on BBC America, PREY began with a mere 76,000 viewers, which is very small even for that network.
