Huge (ABC Family): Ratings Recap

ABC Family's 'Huge' premiered June 28, 2010 to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating, a 2.9 teens 12-17 rating, and 2.53 million viewers. It steadily declined throughout its run, hitting a series-low 1.3 T12-17 rating, 0.5 A18-49 rating, and 1.34 million viewers in its eighth week, but ticked up to 1.45 million viewers by its finale. The series aired a total of 10 episodes over a single season and wasn't renewed for a second.

Dexter (Showtime): Ratings Recap

Showtime's 'Dexter' premiered October 1, 2006 to 603,000 viewers, fell to 381,000 by its third week, but dramatically rose throughout the rest of the season, concluding its first season to 1.08 million viewers, after hitting 760,000 the week prior. The series aired a total of 96 episodes over the course of eight seasons, ultimately concluding in 2013 to a 1.28 18-49 rating with a series high 2.8 million total viewers.

FX's 'Taboo' premiered January 10, 2017 to a 0.63 adults 18-49 rating with 1.84 million viewers. It held above 1 million viewers for every episode of its 8-episode inaugural season, concluding to a 0.38 rating with 1.02 million viewers and averaging a 0.43 rating with 1.19 million viewers. It was renewed for a second season.

Game of Thrones (HBO): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2019: HBO's 'Game of Thrones' premiered April 17, 2011 to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2.22 million viewers. It hit its series-low in viewers in its second episode (2.2 million), but steadily climbed throughout its run, averaging a 1.1 rating with 3.04 million viewers in its first season. It rose dramatically in each subsequent season, reaching a massive 5.7 rating with 12.07 million viewers for its seventh season finale in 2017. An short eighth and final season aired in 2019 delivering its best season premiere ratings ever with a 5.07 rating and 11.76 million viewers. The show concluded May 19, 2019 to series-high numbers in both the demo (5.78) and total viewers (13.61 million) and the season as a whole averaged nearly 12 million viewers. A total of 73 episodes aired over the course of eight seasons.

Fargo (FX): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2020: FX's 'Fargo' premiered in 2014 to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating and 2.65 million viewers, never dropping below 1.5 million viewers in its first season, and concluding to a 0.61 rating with 1.98 million viewers. A second season premiered in 2015 to a 0.48 rating with 1.59 million viewers, dropped to 962,000 viewers in week 2, and concluded to 1.82 million viewers. After a long break, a third season premiered in 2017 to a 0.40 rating with 1.42 million viewers, and averaged 1.13 million viewers. It was renewed for a fourth season to air in 2020, but was delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Last Ship (TNT): Ratings Recap

TNT's 'The Last Ship' premiered in 2014 to a 1.18 adults 18-49 rating with 5.33 million viewers, but ticked down to a 1.01 rating with 4.38 million viewers by its inaugural season finale, averaging a 1.05 rating with 4.43 million viewers over its first 10 episodes. A second season premiered in 2015 to a 0.69 rating with 2.94 million viewers, averaging a 0.72 rating with 2.91 million viewers. A third season premiered in 2016, averaging a 0.5 rating with 2.22 million viewers, and a fourth season premiered in 2017, averaging a 0.31 rating with 1.53 million viewers. A fifth and final season aired in 2018 and brought in the lowest numbers of the series in both adults 18-49 (0.22 rating) and total viewers (1.21 million). It aired 56 episodes over the course of five seasons.

Animal Kingdom (TNT): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2020: TNT's 'Animal Kingdom' premiered in 2016 to a 0.45 adults 18-49 rating with 1.31 million viewers. It remained very stable over the course of the season, hitting a high of 1.51 million viewers by its inaugural season finale, averaging a 0.43 rating with 1.27 million viewers over the course of its first season. A second season premiered in 2017 with a strong 0.44 rating and 1.19 million viewers, hitting a low of 0.34 with 960,000 viewers, and averaging a 0.38 with 1.17 million viewers. A third season premiered in 2018 with very positive returns, actually up year-to-year in both the demo (to 0.39) and total viewers (to 1.31 million), but the fourth season (2019) dipped slightly to 0.33 with 1.21 million viewers. It had been renewed for a fifth season.

The Jim Gaffigan Show (TV Land): Ratings Recap

TV Land's 'The Jim Gaffigan Show' premiered in 2015 to a 0.20 18-49 rating with 850,000 viewers on TV Land and a 0.24 rating with 731,000 viewers for its Nick-at-Night simulcast. The first season averaged 1.2 million viewers over the course of 11 episodes simulcast on both networks. A second season premiered in 2016 with a 0.11 rating and 471,000 viewers on TV Land (0.25 rating with 956,000 viewers across both networks) and averaged a 0.11 rating with 440,000 viewers for its 12 TV Land runs. It was cancelled after 2 seasons.

TV Land's 'Impastor' premiered in 2015 to a 0.11 adults 18-49 rating and 382,000 viewers in its sneak peak episode; it rose to a 0.13 rating with 619,000 viewers in its regular time slot premiere. The first season simulcast on Nick-at-Night and averaged 930,000 viewers and a 0.25 rating over the course of 10 episodes. A second season premiered in 2016 and averaged a 0.08 adults 18-49 rating with 362,000 viewers. It was cancelled after two seasons.

Younger (TV Land): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2020: TV Land's 'Younger' premiered in 2015 to a 0.17 adults 18-49 rating with 504,000 viewers for its first episode and a 0.18 rating with 463,000 viewers for its second episode. The two episodes simulcast on Nick-at-Night and Nick Jr. and saw a 0.16/662,000 & 0.16/588,000 on NAN, and 0.04/220,000 & 0.03/144,000 on Nick Jr. The first season averaged 1.16 million viewers and a 0.37 rating among the first season's 12 episodes airing on both NAN and TV Land. A second season averaged 602,000 viewers just on TV Land, a third season dipped to 563,000, but the fourth season jumped to a series-high 735,000 & 0.22 in the demo. The fifth season, which aired in 2018, held those numbers fairly well, losing just a hundredth in the demo and delivering the second-best viewership on average (670,000), but the sixth season (2019) tumbled nearly 100K viewers year-to-year and hit the lowest average demo rating (0.13). It was renewed for a seventh season.

Outcast (Cinemax): Ratings Recap

UPDATED: Cinemax's 'Outcast' premiered in 2016 with a 0.06 adults 18-49 rating and 152,000 viewers. The first season hit a high of 0.08 and 249,000 viewers, and did not drop lower than 0.03 and 145,000 viewers. A second season premiered in 2018 to a 0.07 rating with 149,000 viewers but dropped like a rock the next three weeks hitting as low as 0.02 in the demo and 49,000 viewers. It recovered slightly but with a 0.04 demo average Cinemax opted not to renew it for a third season.

Into the Badlands (AMC): Ratings Recap

AMC's 'Into the Badlands' premiered to a very high 3.15 adults 18-49 rating with 6.39 million viewers. It lost all momentum by its season-finale which only managed a 0.83 rating with 2.16 million viewers. A second season premiered in 2017 with a 1.42 rating and 3.44 million viewers, and took a nosedive from episodes three to four, when it dropped from 3.11 million to 1.57 million viewers. The second season ended with a 0.47 rating and 1.37 million viewers, and averaged 1.99 million viewers. A third season premiered in 2018 and actually performed quite well in its first 8 episodes, averaging a 0.36 rating & 1.09 million viewers; however, the second half of the season (which aired a year later in 2019), tumbled by nearly half to 0.19 & 610,000 viewers, paving the way for the show's cancellation.

Humans (AMC): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2018: AMC's 'Humans', a British import, premiered in 2015 to a 0.53 adults 18-49 rating with 1.73 million viewers. It dropped to a 0.32 with 1.09 million viewers in week two, and averaged a 0.39 rating with 1.19 million viewers across its first 8 episodes. A second season premiered in 2017 with a 0.20 rating and 716,000 viewers and concluded to a series-low of 0.10 rating and 311,000 viewers; averaging 462,000. It was renewed for a third season which aired in 2018 and averaged a 0.08 rating with 353,000 viewers. It was not renewed for a third season.

Preacher (AMC): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2019: AMC's 'Preacher' premiered in 2016 to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 2.38 million viewers. It dropped by half by week 4, to a 0.43 with 1.14 million viewers, and concluded its inaugural season to a 0.6 rating with 1.72 million viewers, and averaged 1.68 million viewers. A second season premiered in 2017 with a 0.58 rating and 1.69 million viewers and averaged a 0.4 rating and 1.17 million viewers. The ratings continued to fall in the next two seasons, averaging a 0.25 rating with 853,000 viewers in the third season (2018), and a 0.12 with 532,000 viewers in the fourth season (2019). It was not renewed for a fifth season.

'Loaded', a British-import, premiered on AMC in 2017 to a 0.08 adults 18-49 rating and 276,000 viewers. It hit a first-season-high of 0.12 & 289,000 viewers, and concluded its season to a 0.05 rating with 145,000 viewers. The show averaged a 0.06 rating and 207,000 viewers which was not high enough to warrant renewal for a second season.

A second season premiered in 2019 decidedly down from the first one, premiering to just a 0.09 rating with 674,000 and averaging 0.07 & 604,000 over its 10 episodes. It was not renewed for a third season.

AMC's 'TURN: Washington's Spies' premiered in 2014 to a 0.53 adults 18-49 rating and 2.12 million viewers. The first season fell as low as 0.27/965,000, and concluded to a 0.38 rating with 1.61 million viewers. A second season premiered in 2015 and averaged a 0.22 rating with 778,000 viewers, a third season premiered in 2016 and averaged a 0.14 rating with 566,000 viewers, and a fourth season premiered in 2017 and averaged a 0.13 rating with 630,000 viewers. The series aired a total of 40 episodes over the course of 4 seasons.

Better Call Saul (AMC): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2022: AMC's 'Better Call Saul' premiered in 2015 to a 3.43 adults 18-49 rating with 6.88 million viewers. The first season concluded to a 1.19 rating with 2.53 million viewers and averaged a 1.55 rating with 3.21 million viewers across 10 episodes. A second season premiered in 2016 to a 1.06 rating and 2.57 million viewers and averaged a 0.89 rating with 2.16 million viewers. The third season premiered in 2017 and averaged a 0.59 rating with 1.64 million viewers. The fourth and fifth seasons continued the ratings declines, down to 0.44 & 1.5 million in 2018 and 0.36 & 1.37 million in 2020, and then the COVID-19 pandemic pushed out the premiere of the sixth (and final) season to 2022. The first 7 episodes of the sixth season pulled the lowest numbers of the show's run - down to 0.26 & 1.2 million, and the remaining 6 episodes are scheduled to air later in the summer.

The Bold Type (Freeform): Ratings Recap

UPDATED 2021: Freeform's 'The Bold Type' premiered in 2017 with a 0.12 18-49 rating for its sneak preview, and a 0.16 rating in its regular time slot premiere; it was at 235,000 & 355,000 total viewers respectively. Its first 3 episodes were at 0.34, 0.30, and 0.23 in the target demo of females 12-34. The first season concluded with a 0.16 rating & 331,000 viewers; and averaged a 0.15 & 325,000. A second season premiered in 2018 and was remarkably stable with the first season, scoring a 0.14 rating & 310,000 viewers, but the third season, which aired in 2019, ticked down to just 0.10 in the demo with 237,000 viewers. The numbers continued falling in the fourth season (2020), averaging only a 0.06 rating & 162,000 viewers, but this was somehow still enough to warrant a fifth season renewal. The fifth and final season was only 6 episodes and aired in summer 2021 where it averaged a similar 0.06 rating & 171,000 viewers.
