Music ratings are divided into two weekly posts: one for albums, and one for individual songs; this is the song post. Songs achieve their positions on the weekly Billboard & Rolling Stone lists based on three major metrics: sales, streaming, and airplay. Below are three charts: the top 25 songs of the week based on total U.S. sales, the top 25 based on total U.S. streaming and the top 40 songs of the week based on U.S. pop radio airplay.
BTS's 'Dynamite' reclaimed the top spot on the song sales chart with around 14,500 pure sales in the tracking week ending February 25th. Last week's leader, Taylor Swift's re-release of 'Love Story,' failed to make the list this week, logging below the $33.6K revenue cut-off after bringing in over $88K last week. 'Drivers License' from Olivia Rodrigo climbed four spots to the second spot this week with 13,300 pure sales - a nice increase from last week's ~9,600. The release of the deluxe version of Ariana Grande's 'Positions' didn't do wonders for single '34+35' which plummeted to 3,900 sales (from ~15,900), but one new track did manage to place on the list - 'Test Drive' which also scored 3,900. Of note outside the top 25 was Ariana Grande's 'Positions' (1,900), Lil TJay's 'Calling My Phone' (1,700), and Doja Cat's 'Streets' (1,500). Note: this list only includes songs that had over $33.57K revenue for the week; a song with less than $33.57K in revenue could theoretically have more sales than the 25th ranked song on this list and it would not appear here.
