TV Ratings: Thursday July 2, 2020

CBS and ABC were in full rerun mode as the July 4th holiday approached, but NBC continued with new episodes of 'Council of Dads' (0.34, 2.75 million) and 'Blindspot' (0.26, 1.86 million) bringing in OK numbers. FOX was also new with 'Celebrity Watch Party' (0.30, 1.24 million) and 'Labor of Love' (0.17, 711,000) as was the CW's 'Burden of Truth' (0.08, 490,000) and 'In the Dark' (0.08, 458,000). The top broadcast numbers on the day came from a rerun of 'Young Sheldon,' on CBS, which was at 0.48 in the demo with 4.26 million viewers.

'Tucker Carlson Tonight,' on Fox News, led the daily cable ratings in adults 18-49 (0.34), 25-54 (0.58), people 50+ (3.24), and total viewers (4.21 million). Second on the night was 'Hannity' (0.30/0.53, 3.75 million) and 'Ingraham Angle' (0.27/0.49, 3.26 million) was close behind.

The top CNN airings of the day, interestingly, were from 'The Lead with Jake Tapper' and 9pm's 'Cuomo Primetime' which tied in 18-49 (0.23 rating), but the latter program led in 25-54 (0.39 vs. 0.32) and total viewers (1.83 million vs. 1.45 million). Elsewhere, 'Erin Burnett Outfront' (0.34 in 25-54, 1.47 million), 'Anderson Cooper 360' (0.36, 1.63 million), and 10pm's 'Cuomo Primetime' (0.36, 1.55 million) all tied in 18-49 (0.22). 

MSNBC had its usual success with 'Rachel Maddow' (0.27/0.39, 3.18 million), 'Lawrence O'Donnell' (0.20/0.29, 2.76 million), and 'Chris Hayes' (0.13/0.19, 1.85 million).

Outside of cable news, Bravo's 'Real Housewives of NYC' (0.27 in 18-49, 878,000 viewers) delivered the day's best numbers among women 18-49 (0.37 rating), but hit its lowest viewership mark for a non-special episode in more than 12 years - since the series premiere back in March 2008 (824,000). Including reunions and specials, its the lowest since 703,000 for a "Secrets Revealed" episode back in September 2015. 

Elsewhere, MTV had solid returns from 'Double Shot at Love' (0.22, 413,000) which snagged the best cable numbers of the day in adults 18-34 (0.20) and females 12-34 (0.28). Two lead-out episodes of 'Revenge Prank' were at 0.12 & 0.13 respectively in 18-49, and 297,000 & 295,000 in total viewers. 

Two episodes of UP's 'Heartland' were at 0.03 in the demo and 192,000 & 196,000 viewers.
