TV Ratings: Friday July 3, 2020

There wasn't much in terms of originals airing on the broadcast nets the Friday before the holiday and the ratings for the night weren't too pretty. Among the three originals airing, FOX's 'WWE Friday Night Smackdown' led the demo (0.40 rating) but was nearly 2 million viewers back on CBS's 'Dick Van Dyke Show' Carl Reiner tribute special (3.76 million vs. 1.78 million) which itself was OK in the demo (0.29). Finally, the CW had an 'iHeartCountry 4th of July BBQ' special which was low at 0.11 with 588,000 viewers.

On the cable side, Fox News had a stellar night with its 8pm-12am programming taking the top 4 spots on the day among adults 18-49, 25-54, and total viewers. 'Fox News at Night' at 11pm led in 18-49 (0.53 rating) & 25-54 (0.86) while 'Ingraham Angle' led among total viewers (5.69 million vs. 5.39 million) and was close behind in the demos (0.49 & 0.82). 'Hannity' (0.34/0.60, 4.41 million) & 'Tucker Carlson' (0.27/0.45, 3.48 million) finished things off.

Elsewhere, VH1 had new episodes of 'RuPaul All Stars' (0.18, 386,000) & 'Untucked: All Stars' (0.12, 298,000) which logged OK numbers in W18-49 (0.19 & 0.13). TLC had a '90 Day Fiance' special (0.20, 1.07 million) and WEtv had 'Love After Lockup' (0.16 in 18-49, 444,000). In W18-49 those two were at 0.26/0.22.

Finally, Ovation had the finale of 'McCallum' which was at zero in the demo and just 37,000 viewers. I don't have data for the penultimate episode of Cinemax's 'Trackers.'
