TV Ratings: Wednesday June 3, 2020

On a night with limited original programming on the broadcast nets, ABC's primetime movie, 'Up (2009)' delivered the top rating in the key demo (0.67) and logged 3.34 million total viewers. CBS's 'Game On!' (0.6, 3.75 million viewers) was just a tenth behind in 18-49, but tied 'Up' in adults 25-54 (both 0.9). Next was FOX's 'Ultimate Tag' (0.51, 1.73 million) which out-rated broadcast's only original scripted series, ABC's 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD' (0.33, 1.5 million) by 2 tenths. Last was CW's 'The 100' at 0.21 in the demo and 708,000 viewers.

As has been the pattern of late, cable news programming took up 20 of the top 25 spots on cable for the day with CNN taking up 12 of those spots (all in the top 20). CNN's primetime programming was ranked one, two, and three on the day in both 18-49 and 25-54 with 10pm's 'CNN Tonight' (0.60 in 18-49/0.84 in 25-54, 2.8 million viewers) on top, then 8pm's 'Anderson Cooper 360' (0.60/0.89, 3.25 million) and 9pm's 'Cuomo Primetime' (0.57/0.85, 3.17 million).

Over at Fox News, 'Tucker Carlson Tonight' (4.54 million) notched the network's best numbers in 18-49 (0.52) and 25-54 (0.81) though 'Hannity' (0.50/0.79, 4.84 million) wasn't too far behind, actually winning the day in adults over 50 (3.6 rating v. 3.3 for 'Tucker') by a decent margin. At 10pm, 'The Ingraham Angle' (0.48/0.75, 4.3 million) was third for the net.

On MSNBC, 'The Rachel Maddow Show' (0.31/0.46, 3.54 million) was, again, the top program, though interestingly 'Meet the Press Daily' (0.29/0.39, 2.73 million) was second, just barely edging out 'Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell' (0.26/0.38, 2.65 million).

Outside of news, MTV's 'Challenge: Total Madness' (0.50 in 18-49, 909,000) logged the day's best numbers in both adults 18-34 (0.47 rating) and females 12-34 (0.56) and had the second-best numbers in women 18-49 (0.63). The top airing in that demo belonged to Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' (0.47, 1.63 million) which had a 0.66.

In addition, two episodes of HGTV's 'House Hunters' at 10pm (0.32/1.57 million) and 10:30pm (0.29/1.55 million) and an episode of 'Property Brothers: Forever Home' (0.31/1.8 million) were the only other telecasts to finish in the top 25.
