Thursday October 25, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TNT's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the Nuggets and Lakers topped the Thursday cable ratings with a 0.89 A18-49 rating with 1.95 million viewers. The game led in men 18-49 (1.31 rating), males 12-34 (1.02), adults 18-34 (0.89), and adults 25-54 (0.87). Lead-in game, Celtics/Thunder had a 0.85 M18-49 rating, a 0.68 M12-34 rating, and 1.48 million viewers. NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' took the second spot on the day with a 0.79 A18-49 rating (1.13 M18-49 rating) and 2.25 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' scored cable's best numbers in both the W18-49 demo (0.91) and F12-34 demo (0.78), averaging 1.25 million total viewers. Two episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far,' also on MTV, were at 0.53/0.44 in W18-49, 0.45/0.37 in F12-34, and at 606,000/557,000 in viewers. On TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was mediocre at 0.24/448,000, and on Bravo, 'Shahs of Sunset' performed well in W18-49 (0.34) and ok in viewers (792,000). Finally, the long-awaited premiere of Sundance's 'Deutschland 86,' the follow-up from 2015's 'Deutschland 83' found a 0.03 A18-49 rating and 98,000 viewers at midnight. 

Top U.S. Shows for African-Americans: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' led the week ending Oct. 7 in African-American (AA) viewing. The game averaged a 16.4 rating in that demo, equating to 3.504 million AA viewers. FOX's 'Empire' impressively brought in that same rating, but was slightly lower in AA viewership (3.383 million). Lead-out 'Star,' had a 13.5 AA rating, equating to 2.816 million viewers of that demo. 

'Thursday Night Football,' also on FOX, ranked fourth on the week with an 11.6 rating and 2.322 million AA viewers. Finally, both of CBS's new Monday comedies, 'The Neighborhood' and 'Happy Together' made the top 10 this week. 'Neighborhood' averaged a 6.9 rating, while 'Happy' notched a 5.6. In viewers, those two ratings equate to 1.351 million and 1.107 million AA viewers respectively.

Wednesday October 24, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' took victory on Wednesday cable with a 0.90 A18-49 rating and 1.85 million viewers. The show led all of cable in women 18-49 (0.98 rating), females 12-34 (0.78), adults 18-34 (0.83), and adults 25-54 (0.89). It also tied ESPN's 76ers/Bucks 'NBA Basketball' game in the men 18-49 demo (both 0.82). That game ranked second on the day in the A18-49 demo (0.56 rating), but led the day in the males 12-34 demo (0.67). On VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' ranked second on the day in both W18-49 (0.71) and F12-34 (0.5), delivering 1.04 million total viewers. Over at MTV, 'Are You the One?' averaged a 0.41 rating in the W18-49 demo, a 0.42 in the F12-34 demo, and 483,000 viewers, and at Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Dallas' notched a 0.39/0.22 in those demos with 673,000 viewers. TBS's 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' saw a very slight male skew in both the 18-49 demo (0.30/0.29) and 12-34 demo (0.12/0.11), and averaged 863,000 viewers. Finally, El Rey's 'Lucha Underground' had 80,000 viewers.

Tuesday October 23, 2018 Nielsen Finals

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' topped the Tuesday cable ratings with a 0.69 A18-49 rating with 2.09 million viewers. The program also led in men 18-49 (0.88 rating), adults 18-34 (0.54), males 12-34 (0.56), and adults 25-54 (0.81). Lead-out 'The Purge' had a 0.32 rating with 931,000 viewers, and on FX, 'Mayans M.C.' had a 0.48 in the demo with 1.22 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Below Deck' led the day in the W18-49 demo (0.66 rating) and averaged 1.39 million viewers, and on MTV, 'Challenge: Final Reckoning' led in the F12-34 demo (0.5), took second in the W18-49 demo (0.59) and averaged 755,000 viewers. Other female-skewing shows include OWN's 'The Haves and Have Nots' which notched a 0.43 W18-49 rating with 1.73 million viewers, and Lifetime's 'Married at First Sight Reunion' which had a 0.47 in that demo with 964,000 viewers. Finally, the season premiere of 'The Guest Book' found a 0.32 rating with 982,000 viewers at 10pm, but lost a tenth down to 0.22 with 694,000 at 10:30p.m. 

Cable Network Ratings: 10/15 - 10/21/2018

Coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' propelled FOX Sports 1 to the top of the cable networks among primetime viewership for the week ending Oct. 21, 2018. The net averaged 3.07 million viewers over the course of the week, 400K more viewers than TBS Network which aired the 'MLB ALCS.' Although the ALCS games, on average, saw higher viewership than the NLCS games, the former series only lasted five games while the latter lasted a full seven games. Elsewhere, ESPN (2.64 million) ranked just ahead of FOX News (2.61 million) though both averaged more than 1 million viewers more than fifth-ranked TNT, itself bolstered by NBA coverage. MSNBC ranked sixth on the week (1.47 million), CNN 13th (850,000), HLN 46th (257,000), CNBC 55th (195,000), and FOX Business 69th (111,000). Other networks to average over 1 million viewers in primetime include USA Network (1.24 million), Hallmark (1.18 million), and HGTV (1.17 million).

Monday October 22, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Giants and Falcons topped the Monday cable ratings, averaging a 3.45 A 18-49 rating with 10.33 million viewers. The game was the top draw on cable in both men & women 18-49 (4.96/1.96 ratings), males & females 12-34 (3.4/1.26), adults 18-34 (2.78) and adults 25-54 (4.08). Three hours of 'WWE Entertainment,' on USA Network, were at 1.18/1.22/1.11 ratings in M18-49 and at 2.61 million/2.62 million/2.41 million total viewers. Over at VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' averaged the second-highest W18-49 rating of the day (1.31) with 'T.I. and Tiny: Family Hustle' ranking third (0.99), and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' taking fourth (0.80); in total viewers the three shows were at 1.74 million, 1.38 million, and 1.44 million. On MTV, 'Teen Mom' was at 0.74/0.58 ratings in the W18-49/F12-34 demos and 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' was at 0.55/0.44; in total viewers the two shows had 872,000 & 608,000 respectively. Finally, on Disney Channel, 'Andi Mack' averaged a 0.31 F12-34 rating with 686,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the raw demo L+7 gains for the week ending Oct. 14, jumping 1.88 to 4.17. In viewership gains, the show ranked third, rising 5.68 million viewers to 14.6 million. 'Manifest' took victory in raw viewership gains for the third consecutive week, up almost 7.4 million viewers to 14.85 million, almost 1.5 million more +7 viewers than second-ranked 'The Good Doctor' (up 5.96 million). 'Manifest' also topped viewership percentage gains, up 99% from its Live+same day total of 7.47 million. 'The Good Doctor' topped the demo percentage gains, rising 133% from 1.08 to 2.52 (+1.44). On cable, AMC's 'The Walking Dead' topped the L+3 gains, leaping 1.25 in the demo to 3.23, and up 2.76 million viewers to 7.71 million. FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' ranked second in demo gains (+1.2, +2.44M), 'Mayans M.C.' took third (+0.69, +1.65M), and the season finale of 'Better Call Saul' was in fourth (+0.48, +1.39M). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/15 - 10/21/2018

USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' and 'WWE Monday Night RAW' dominated the social ratings for the week ending Oct. 21 drawing over a combined 3.2 million interactions. 'Smackdown' led the week with its 1.75 million interactions, while 'RAW' saw 1.5 million; both were heavy on Instagram (1.29 million/1.1 million respectively). ABC's Wednesday episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' took the third spot on the week. Guests Cardi B and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gave the show over 1.13 million interactions on social media, including over 1.1 million just from Instagram. Other shows making the list this week were FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (721,000), CW's 'Riverdale' (691,000) & 'The Flash' (345,000), and NBC's 'This Is Us' (279,000). 

Sunday October 21, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' topped the Sunday cable ratings with a 1.93 A18-49 rating and 5.04 million viewers. While down from last week in the demo (1.98), this week was up in total viewers. The show was virtually even among men and women 18-49 (1.93 women, 1.92 men), but skewed a bit more female in the 12-34s (1.13 vs 0.96). 'Talking Dead' ranked second on the day with a 0.64 key demo rating and 1.87 million viewers. On TLC, '90 Day FiancÄ—' took the second spot on the day in both W18-49 (0.83 rating) and F12-34 (0.53), and 'Unexpected' ranked fourth in the former demo (0.61) and third in the latter (0.46); the two shows averaged 1.78 million & 1.2 million viewers respectively. Over at Lifetime, 'You' had a 0.21 W18-49 rating with 623,000 viewers while Bravo's 'Married to Medicine' scored a 0.55 in that demo with 1.05 million viewers. On premium cable, HBO aired 'The Deuce' (446,000) & 'Camping' (404,000), Showtime aired 'Shameless' (1 million), 'Kidding' (192,000), & 'The Circus' (275,000), and Starz aired 'Warriors of Liberty' (84,000) & 'America to Me' (31,000). Other shows of note include BBC America's 'Doctor Who' (808,000), and TNT's 'The Last Ship' (1.3 million). 

Saturday October 20, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Game 7 of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers, on FS1, did not disappoint in the ratings. The game averaged a 1.82 A18-49 rating with 7.34 million viewers, higher than everything on broadcast, and beat ESPN's Lakers/Rockets game in the M18-49 demo (2.42 vs. 2.13), tying in the M12-34 demo (1.71). The game averaged a 30.7 rating in Milwaukee and a 15.9 rating in Los Angeles. The aforementioned 'NBA Basketball' game ranked second on the day with a 1.48 key demo rating and 3.36 million viewers. The highest-rated 'College Football' game on the day belonged to ESPN's coverage of Mississippi State and LSU which found a 0.85 rating (1.08 in M18-49, 0.73 in M12-34) with 3.11 million viewers. A&E's 'Live PD' remained strong at 0.56 with 1.73 million viewers, and Freeform's 'Hocus Locus 25th Anniversary' special scored well in women 18-49 (0.59), females 12-34 (0.51), and total viewers (1.4 million). Elsewhere, the Hallmark original movie 'Love, of Course' averaged a 0.44 rating in adults 25-54 (1.87 rating in folks over 50) with a sizable 2.56 million viewers. Finally, Ovation's 'Versailles' found 102,000 viewers. 

Friday October 19, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FS1's coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers led everything on Friday cable, notching a 1.47 A 18-49 rating with 5.78 million viewers. The game led all of television in men 18-49 (2.02 rating), males 12-34 (1.36) and adults 18-34 (1.15) as well as topped cable in women 18-49 (0.93), females 12-34 (0.58), and adults 25-54 (1.71). 'NBA Basketball' on TNT ranked second and third on the cable, with the Warriors/Jazz game notching a 1.35 rating among M18-49 with 2.27 million viewers, and the Celtics/Raptors game scoring a 1.11 rating in that demo with 1.82 million viewers. A&E's 'Live PD' averaged a solid 0.59 key demo rating with 1.77 million viewers, while Discovery's 'Gold Rush' was robust at 0.80 in the 25-54s with 2.22 million viewers. On MTV, two episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.20/0.22 in W18-49, 0.16/0.15 in F12-34, and 433,000/472,000 in total viewers. Finally, over at HBO, 'Real Time with Bill Maher' had 1.51 million viewers, 'Pod Save America' rose to 493,000, and 'Tracey Ullman's Show' was at 212,000.

Coverage of the 'MLB ALCS,' on TBS, between the Red Sox and Astros topped the Thursday cable ratings, averaging a 1.59 A18-49 rating with 6.53 million viewers. The game also led the women 18-49 demo (1.09 rating) and adults 25-54 demo (2.03), but ranked second in men 18-49 (2.1), males 12-34 (1.22), and adults 18-34 (1.09). 'NBA Basketball' between the Lakers and Blazers, on TNT, ranked second in the key demo (1.57 rating), but led cable in M18-49 (2.29), M12-34 (1.87), and adults 18-34 (1.55), averaging 3.31 million viewers. On MTV, 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' took victory in the F12-34 demo (0.7), third in the W18-49 demo (0.8), and had 1.11 million total viewers. Two episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' were both at 0.41 in the F12-34 demo (0.43/0.41 in W18-49) and at 485,000/462,000 in total viewers. Over at TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' was solid, averaging a 0.33 M18-49 rating with 484,000 viewers, and at Bravo's 'Shah's of Sunset' had a 0.33 W18-49 rating with 851,000 viewers. Finally, on Reelz, 'Irreconcilable Differences' had 111,000 viewers. 

Wednesday October 17, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TBS's coverage of the 'MLB ALCS' between the Astros and Red Sox led all Wednesday cable with a 1.73 A 18-49 rating and 6.18 million viewers. The game led the day in households (3.76 rating), men & women 18-49 (2.33, 1.14), males 12-34 (1.49), adults 18-34 (1.35) and adults 25-54 (2.0). On FX, 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' led cable in the female 12-34 demo (0.77 rating), and averaged 2.01 million viewers; the show also ranked second in W18-49 (1.03). Coverage of the 'MLB NLCS,' on FS1, ranked third in the key 18-49 demo (0.88 rating) with 3.75 million viewers. It ranked second in M18-49 (1.32) and males 12-34 (0.94). Over at VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' averaged the third-highest W18-49 rating (0.59) and F12-34 rating (0.48) of the day, while 'Safeword' averaged 0.26 in both demos; in total viewers, the two shows were at 923,000 & 378,000. On MTV, 'Are You the One?' had a strong 0.42 rating in F12-34 with 466,000 viewers, and on Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Dallas' notched a 0.37 in W18-49 with 605,000 viewers. TBS's 'Full Frontal with Samantha Bee' skewed heavily male for last night's episode, with men 18-49 (0.34 rating) more than doubling the women 18-49 (0.16 rating) audience. Other Wednesday shows of note include: OWN's 'Greenleaf' (1.21 million), Comedy Central's 'South Park' (0.62 M18-49 rating, 705,000 viewers), FXX's 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (298,000), and TeenNick's 'Bureau of Magical Things' (95,000).

Tuesday October 16, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TNT's coverage of 'NBA Basketball' between the 76ers and Celtics topped the ratings charts on Tuesday cable. The game averaged a 1.41 A 18-49 rating with 2.95 million viewers, leading the day in men 18-49 (2.12 rating), males 12-34 (1.78), adults 18-34 (1.4), and ranking second in adults 25-54 (1.35). The Thunders/Warriors NBA game, also on TNT, took the second spot on the day in adults 18-49 (1.24 rating), men 18-49 (1.78 rating), and adults 18-34 (1.2), averaging 2.73 million viewers. The 'MLB ALCS,' on TBS, notched a 1.15 A 18-49 rating, just a hare about the 'MLB NLCS' game, on FS1, which had a 1.14; in total viewers the 2 games were at 4.87 million and 4.09 million viewers respectively. The 'ALCS' game had a larger female audience than the 'NLCS' game (0.79 vs. 0.67 in W18-49 & 0.54 vs. 0.42 in F12-34), while the 'NLCS' saw a larger male audience (1.62 vs. 1.5 in W18-49 & 1.05 vs. 1.02 F12-34). The two games also ranked first and third in the adults 25-54 demo (1.37 and 1.31). USA's 'WWE Smackdown' notched a 1.19 M18-49 rating with 2.55 million viewers, 'The Purge' had a 0.40 in that demo (0.39 in W18-49) with 1.03 million viewers, and FX's 'Mayans MC' was at 0.65 in that demo with 1.29 million viewers. On Bravo, 'Below Deck' and 'Flipping Out' were at 0.63/0.38 in W18-49 and 1.22 million/824,000 in total viewers, and on TBS, a sneak peak of the second season of 'The Guest Book' was at 0.39 in M18-49 (0.17 in W18-49) and 833,000.

Monday October 15, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'Monday Night Football' between the Packers and 49ers topped the Monday cable ratings, averaging a 4.06 A 18-49 rating and 11.88 million viewers. The game topped everything on broadcast and cable in men & women 18-49 (5.62 rating, 2.52), males & females 12-34 (3.8, 1.6), adults 18-34 (3.3), and adults 25-54 (4.7). FS1 coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Brewers and Dodgers took the second spot on the day with a 0.98 A 18-49 rating (1.36 rating in M18-49) with 4.21 million viewers. The game notched a 25.3 rating in Milwaukee which equates to 214,650 households. Three hours of USA Network's 'WWE Entertainment' were at 1.04/1.02/0.98 ratings in men 18-49 and at 2.49 million/2.48 million/2.22 million in total viewers. On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' had the second-highest women 18-49 rating on cable (1.19) and 1.71 million viewers; 'Remi & Papoose' had a 0.64 rating in that demo with 979,000 viewers, and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' notched a 0.71 with 1.31 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Teen Mom' notched 0.80/0.72 ratings in W18-49 & F12-34 respectively with 929,000 viewers, while two episodes of 'Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant' were at 0.53/0.51/646,000 and 0.39/0.41/490,000. Finally, Disney Channel's 'Andi Mack' had only 667,000 viewers.

Cable Network Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

With help from coverage of the 'MLB ALDS' and 'ALCS' TBS dominated the cable networks in primetime for the week ending Oct. 14, averaging 3.58 million viewers in primetime. This performance knocked FOX News down to the second spot on the week (2.61 million), just barely ahead of ESPN (2.6 million). FOX Sports 1, which aired the 'MLB NLDS and NLCS' wasn't as lucky as TBS, averaging only 1.06 million viewers on the week, ranking 8th. Looking at cable news nets, MSNBC ranked fourth (1.51 million), CNN took 14th (832,000), HLN ranked 49th (251,000), CNBC was 50th (236,000), and FOX Business was 75th (88,000). Other networks to average over 1 million viewers in primetime were: Hallmark Channel (1.14 million), HGTV (1.12 million), and USA Network (1.07 million). 

Sunday October 14, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' took victory on Sunday cable with a 1.98 A18-49 rating and 4.95 million viewers. While that demo bested everything on the night (except Sunday Night Football), it was a series-low for the show. Second on the night was TBS's coverage of the 'MLB ALCS' between the Red Sox and Astros which averaged a 1.46 key demo rating with 5.66 million viewers. 'Walking Dead' barely edged out the baseball game in the men 18-49 demo (2.04 rating vs. 1.9); however, the game led in the males 12-34 demo (1.01 vs. 1.34). 'Dead' also led the night in women 18-49 (1.92), females 12-34 (0.99), and adults 25-54 (2.45), while baseball led in households (3.14 vs. 2.79), adults 18-34 (1.17) and people over 50 (3.08). In Boston, the game notched a 20.6 HH rating, while NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' featuring the Patriots had a 34.3. In the women 18-49 demo, TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' (1.14 rating) ranked second on cable, while E!'s 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' (0.64 rating) tied 'Talking Dead' for third; in viewership those three shows were at: 2.66 million, 867,000, and 1.69 million respectively. Lifetime's 'You' also showed strength in the W18-49 demo, notching a 0.35 rating, as did TLC's 'Unexpected' which garnered a 0.59; in total viewers they averaged 711,000 & 1.17 million. On premium cable, HBO had 'The Deuce' (554,000), 'Last Week Tonight' (919,000), and the series-premiere of 'Camping' (544,000); Showtime aired 'Shameless' (919,000), 'Kidding' (166,000), and 'The Circus' (230,000), and STARZ had 'Warriors of Liberty' (52,000) and 'America to Me' (24,000). 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

NBC's 'This Is Us' topped the raw L+7 demo gains for the week ending Oct. 7, rising 1.89 to 4.31; it ranked third in viewership gains, rising 5.69 million viewers to 14.56 million. Atop the raw viewership gains was 'Manifest,' which jumped 7.51 million viewers to 15.96 million in seven-day timeshifting; in the demo it was second on the week, rising 1.84 to 3.61. ABC's 'The Good Doctor' took fourth in demo gains (up 1.49 to 2.6) and second in viewership gains (up 6.14 million to 13.34 million). In percentage gains, ABC's new series 'A Million Little Things' led in the demo (up 135%) and viewership (98%), rising from 0.82 to 1.93 and from 3.79 million to 7.5 million. On the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story' tied AMC's 'The Walking Dead' in raw L+3 demo gains, each rising 1.22; the former rose to 2.23 and the latter to 3.72. In viewership gains, 'Dead' (up 2.62 million) edged out 'Horror' (up 2.4 million).

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/8 - 10/14/2018

ABC's coverage of the '2018 American Music Awards' dominated the social charts for the week ending Oct. 7. The awards show averaged 5.51 million total interactions across the platforms, including 2.38 million on Instagram and 2.8 million on Twitter. On USA Network, 'WWE Monday Night RAW' (2.37 million) and 'WWE Smackdown!' (1.15 million) took the second and third spots on the week, both heavy on Instagram. Though little watched, the CW's 'Riverdale' premiered its new season with 813,000 interactions, with the majority (554,000) coming from Twitter. FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (330,000) made the list again this week long with ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars Juniors' (326,000) and NBC's 'This is Us' (295,000). 

Saturday October 13, 2018 Nielsen Finals

Game 1 of TBS's 'MLB ALCS' between the Astros and Red Sox led all of Saturday cable with a 1.5 A18-49 rating and 5.82 million viewers. The game led cable in households (3.34), men & women 18-49 (1.98, 1.03 ratings), males & females 12-34 (1.24, 0.67), people 18-34 (1.12) and people 25-54 (1.8). In local markets, it garnered a 20.0 rating in Houston and a 19.8 rating in Boston. The top-rated college football game on the day belonged to ESPN's coverage of the Missouri/Alabama game which had a 1.1 rating in the key demo (1.36 in M18-49) with 3.76 million viewers. On Hallmark, the original movie 'Under the Autumn Moon' delivered a 1.77 rating in people over 50 (0.44 rating in W18-49) with 2.44 million viewers while two Syfy original movies delivered 824,000 and 764,000 at 7pm and 8pm. Finally, on Ovation, week two of 'Versailles' averaged 102,000 viewers, and 'Inside Versailles' was at 51,000.

Friday October 12, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FS1's coverage of the 'MLB NLCS' between the Dodgers and Brewers took an easy victory on Friday cable. The game averaged a 1.13 A 18-49 rating with 4.64 million total viewers. Over at MTV, two episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.23/0.31 in females 12-34, 0.21/0.26 in women 18-49, and 456,000/553,000 in total viewers. Finally HBO aired 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (1.74 million), 'The Shop' (281,000), 'Tracey Ullman's Show' (249,000) and the premiere of 'Pod Save America' (454,000).

Thursday October 11, 2018 Nielsen Finals

NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' topped the Thursday cable ratings with a 1.09 A18-49 rating and 2.98 million total viewers. According to data from the NFL, there were 2.1 million unique streamers and an average minute streaming audience of 773,000 for the game. The game averaged a combined 7.9 M18-49 rating (6.3 on FOX, 1.6 on NFL Net), as well as a 4.75 A18-34 rating (3.9 on FOX, 0.85 on NFL Net). Elsewhere on cable, MTV's 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' remained strong notching a cable-leading 0.8 women 18-49 rating with 1.15 million viewers, while the two series-premiere episodes of 'How Far is Tattoo Far' were at 0.49/0.43 in that demo with 610,000/540,000 viewers. Over at Bravo, 'Shahs of Sunset' scored a 0.44 W18-49 rating with 988,000 viewers, and on TruTV, 'Impractical Jokers' averaged a 0.26 M18-49 rating with 522,000 viewers.

Wednesday October 10, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' easily walked to a Wednesday cable victory with a 1.02 A18-49 rating and 2.12 million total viewers. The show led cable in women 18-49 (1.16 rating), people 18-34 (0.99), females 12-34 (0.92), and adults 25-54 (1.02). An NBA preseason game between the Warriors and Lakers, on ESPN, ranked second on the day with a 0.78 key demo rating and 1.98 million viewers. That game led cable in men 18-49 (1.17 rating) and males 12-34 (0.88). Comedy Central's 'South Park' notched a 0.8 rating in M18-49 with 966,000 viewers, while VH1's 'Black Ink Crew' averaged a 0.73 rating in 18-49 with 1.09 million viewers, and MTV's 'Are You the One,' had 422,000 (0.35 rating in F12-34). Elsewhere, 'Greenleaf,' on OWN, had a 0.24 W18-49 rating with 1.17 million viewers, 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' on FXX, had 342,000, and 'Safeword,' on VH1, had 397,000 

Cable Network Ratings: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

FOX News topped the cable network ratings for the week ending October 7, 2018, averaging 3.47 million viewers in primetime. MSNBC took the fourth spot on the week with 1.78 million, CNN took seventh with 1.02 million, HLN was 43rd with 292,000, CNBC was 55th with 214,000, and FOX Business ranked 77th with 87,000. With help from 'Monday Night Football,' ESPN took the second spot on the week with 3.3 million primetime viewers, and due to coverage of the MLB Divisions series games, TBS ranked third with 2.77 million and FOX Sports 1 jumped to ninth with 1.0 million viewers. USA Network (1.12 million), HGTV (1.11 million), and Hallmark Channel (1.01 million) rounded out the networks averaging over 1 million viewers. 

Tuesday October 9, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TBS coverage of game 4 of the 'MLB ALDS' between the Yankees and Red Sox dominated the Tuesday cable ratings, averaging a 1.92 A18-49 rating with 7.15 million viewers. The game led everything on both broadcast and cable in men 18-49 (2.7 rating), men 18-34 (2.0), men 25-54 (3.3), and males 12-34 (1.7). It also hit the highest household rating in Boston for a LDS game in 10 years (23.9). Outside of baseball, USA Network's 'WWE Smackdown' took the second spot on the day with a 0.67 demo rating (0.84 in M18-49) and 2.14 million viewers, while 'The Purge' rose slightly to 0.39 in the demo with 1.01 million viewers. FX's 'Mayans M.C.' remained strong in men 18-49 with a 0.65 rating and 1.35 million viewers, while MTV's 'The Challenge: Reckoning' notched the third-highest women 18-49 rating on cable (0.55) with 749,000 viewers. Other strong female-skewing shows include Bravo's 'Below Deck' which had a 0.57 W18-49 rating with 1.21 million viewers, and both TLC's 'The Little Couple' and 'Sweet Home Sextuplets' which were at 0.54 and 0.38 respectively in that demo and averaged 1.55 million and 1.07 million viewers. Finally, the season finale of 'Carter,' on WGN America, was relatively even at 0.02 and 171,000 viewers.

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 9/24 - 9/30/2018

NBC's 'Manifest' topped both the raw demo gains and raw viewership gains in L+7 ratings for premiere week. The NBC series premiere rose 2.01 in the demo to 4.17, and jumped nearly 8 million viewers to 18.4 million. 'This Is Us' ranked second in the demo gains, up 1.89 to 4.87, while 'The Good Doctor' took second in viewership gains, rising 6.78 million to 14.13 million. In percentage gains, 'The Good Doctor' led in both the demo (up 129%) and total viewers (up 92%). On the cable side, FX's 'American Horror Story' easily led the L+3 raw gains for the week, rising 1.13 in the demo and 2.24 million viewers. 

Monday October 8, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' between the Redskins and Saints easily topped all of Monday television, on both broadcast and cable. The game averaged a 3.6 A18-49 rating with 10.51 million total viewers, and led in all major demos: men & women 18-49 (5.06 rating, 2.17), people 18-34 (3.04), and people 25-54 (4.27). On TBS, the 'MLB ALDS' between the Yankees and Red Sox ranked third with a 1.18 rating (1.57 in M18-49) and 4.41 million viewers. Over at USA Network, three hours of 'WWE Entertainment' averaged between 0.77 and 0.87 in the demo (0.93 to 1.09 in M18-49) and between 2.2 million and 2.53 million total viewers. Bravo's 'Real Housewives of OC' had a 0.73 W18-49 rating with 1.27 million viewers, while on VH1, 'Love & Hip Hollywood' notched a 1.16 rating (#2 on cable) with 1.66 million viewers, and 'Remi & Papoose' was at 0.68 in that demo with 969,000 viewers. On MTV, 'Teen Mom' averaged a 0.59 rating in F12-34 (0.68 in W18-49) with 851,000 viewers, and 'Floribama Shore' had a 0.41 with 562,000 viewers. Finally, AMC's 'Better Call Saul' concluded its fourth season tying its second-highest demo score of the year (0.47 rating), and pulling its best viewership since Aug. 27 (1.53 million). 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 10/1 - 10/7/2018

In the second week of the new broadcast season, things seemed to settle down on the social platforms. ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' lost over 1 million interactions from last week, down to 383,000, while AMC's 'Walking Dead' entered the list just above at 384,000 interactions. USA Network's 'WWE Monday Night RAW' (1.05 million) and 'WWE Smackdown!' took the one and two spots on the week, ahead of both Monday and Tuesday's episodes of 'Dancing with the Stars' which ranked third (650,000) and fourth (445,000) respectively). Also making the list this week was FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' (333,000) and Thursday's 'The Tonight Show' (329,000). 

Sunday October 7, 2018 Nielsen Finals

AMC's 'The Walking Dead' has officially fallen back down to Earth. While still the highest-rated show of the night by far, Sunday's ninth season premiere averaged the lowest 18-49 rating (2.49) and viewership (6.08 million) since the show's first season (2.4 rating on 11/21/10, 5.97 million viewers on 12/5/10). Sunday's episode did lead in all major demos on all of scripted broadcast and cable: men & women 18-49 (2.57 rating, 2.41), people 18-34 (1.7), and people 25-54 (2.9). 'Talking Dead' had a 0.77 demo with 2.22 million viewers. Over on BBC America, the season premiere of 'Doctor Who' averaged 0.45 A 18-49 rating with 1.37 million viewers, airing at the unusual time of 1:45 p.m. The post-show had a 0.21 with 782,000 viewers. On E!, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' averaged a 0.59 W18-49 rating with 809,000 viewers and 'Ashlee & Evan' had 0.31 in that demo with 427,000 viewers. TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—' averaged the second-highest W18-49 rating of the day (1.0), a large chuck of its 2.21 million viewers. Showtime's 'Shameless' (1.002 million) led among all premium cable shows, ahead of HBO's Last Week Tonight' (999,000) by a hair. HBO also aired 'Ballers' (597,000) and 'The Deuce' (494,000). Other Showtime entires include the micro-rated 'The Circus' (263,000), 'Kidding' (199,000), and 'Family Business' (197,000). Finally, STARZ struggled with 'Warriors of Liberty' (71,000) and 'America to Me' (36,000).

Saturday October 6, 2018 Nielsen Finals

MLB ALDS game between the Yankees and Red Sox topped all of Saturday cable notching a 1.28 A18-49 rating with 5.06 million over all viewers on TBS. The game also led in women 18-49 (0.84 rating), men 18-49 (1.72), people 18-34 (0.92), and people 25-54 (1.57). The top-rated college football game on the day was ESPN's Kentucky/Texas A&M game which had a 0.79 rating in the demo (1.04 in M18-49) with 2.55 million viewers. Outside of sports, A&E's 'Live PD' remained solid, averaging a 0.54 rating with 1.65 million viewers. A Hallmark movie, 'Falling For You' was mediocre at 0.26 in the key demo (0.38 in W18-49), 1.51 in P50+, and 2.11 million viewers. Finally, on Ovation, 'Versailles' premiered its new season to the tune of 157,000 viewers, while the after show, 'Inside Versailles' retained only 52,000.

Friday October 5, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TBS coverage of the MLB ALDS between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox led everything on television Friday, including both broadcast and cable. The game led cable in all major demos: households (3.35 rating), A18-49 (1.41), A18-34 (1.0), A25-54 (1.75), men & women 18-49 (1.98, 0.85), men & women 18-34 (1.38, 0.62), men & women 25-54 (2.47, 1.03), and males & females 12-34 (1.2, 0.57). Its 5.57 million viewers led everything outside of CBS. The other ALDS game, Indians/Astros, had a 0.46 A18-49 rating (0.66 in M18-49) with 1.91 million viewers on TBS. Over at FOX Sports 1, the 'MLB NLDS' game between the Braves and Dodgers averaged a 1.17 HH rating, a 0.66 A18-49 rating, and 2.03 million viewers, while the Rockies/Brewers game had a 1.13 HH rating, a 0.42 A18-49 rating, and 1.77 million viewers. In men 18-49, they were at 0.66 & 0.63, and in men 25-54, they were at 0.98 & 0.63. 

Outside of baseball, A&E's 'Live PD' stayed solid with a 0.6 key demo rating (0.67 in W18-49) and 1.87 million total viewers, while 'Live PD AC' was at 0.27 (0.33) with 947,000 viewers. On HBO, 'Real Time with Bill Maher' had 1.73 million viewers, 'Animals.' had 201,000, and 'Vice' averaged 184,000. MTV's 'Ridiculousness' was at 0.20/0.25 ratings in W18-49, 0.19/0.21 in F12-34, and at 446,000/553,000 in total viewers at 8pm & 8:30pm respectively. At Syfy, the season premieres of 'Z Nation' (542,000) and 'Van Helsing' (390,000) were both on par with their season premiere numbers last year. Finally, on Disney Channel, both 'Raven's Home' (740,000) and 'Bizaardvark' (525,000) brought in disappointing numbers.

Thursday October 4, 2018 Nielsen Finals

NFL Network's simulcast of 'Thursday Night Football' between the Colts and Patriots led all of Thursday cable with a 1.04 A18-49 rating and 2.79 million total viewers. The game also led in men 18-49 (1.47 rating), males 12-34 (0.87), people 18-34 (0.78), and people 25-54 (1.22). The 30-minute post-game (not in the table below) oddly enough brought in higher ratings in M18-49 (1.56), M12-34 (0.88), and P18-34 (0.79), despite having slightly fewer viewers (2.629 million). On MTV, 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' topped all of cable in both women 18-49 (0.78 rating) and females 12-34 (0.67), and averaged 1.05 million viewers. At WEtv, 'Braxton Family Values' delivered a 0.47 rating in W18-49 (#3 on cable) with 898,000 viewers, while 'Bossip' managed only 468,000. Finally, TruTV aired two episodes of 'Impractical Jokers' which were at 480,000/645,000 respectively in viewership. Interestingly, while the first episode skewed more male (0.26/0.23 in M/F 18-49), the second skewed female (0.33/0.37). 

Wednesday October 3, 2018 Nielsen Finals

The 'MLB Wild Card' game between the Yankees and Athletics, on TBS, led everything on cable with a 1.8 A18-49 rating and 6.16 million viewers. The game led in men 18-49 (2.65 rating), males 12-34 (1.69), people 18-34 (1.43), and people 25-54 (2.09). On FX, 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' took victory in the W18-49 demo with a 1.08 rating (0.86 in F12-34, #1) and 2.02 million viewers. Over at VH1, 'Black Ink Crew' had a 0.62 W18-49 rating with 997,000 viewers and 'Safeword' was at 0.3 with 504,000 viewers; on MTV, 'Are You the One' notched a 0.38 in that demo (same in F12-34) with 432,000 viewers, and on Bravo, 'Real Housewives of Dallas' had 0.32 with 646,000 viewers. Comedy Central's 'South Park' took third on cable in A18-49 (0.53 rating), M18-49 (0.72), and P18-34 (0.57), with 925,000 total viewers. Elsewhere in the scripted sphere was OWN's 'Greenleaf' (1.08 million), Nickelodeon's 'I Am Frankie' (762,000), and FXX's 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (319,000). 

Tuesday October 2, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of the 'MLB Wild Card Game' between the Rockies and Cubs topped all of Tuesday cable with a 2.09 A18-49 rating and 6.33 million viewers. The game also led cable in all major demos: men & women 18-49 (3.02, 1.18 ratings), males & females 12-34 (2.02, 0.77 ratings), people 18-34 (1.68), and people 25-54 (2.32). USA's 'WWE Smackdown' ranked second on the day in the demo (0.69 rating) and averaged 2.1 million viewers; in the subdemos, it skewed more male than female in the 18-49s (0.78/0.61), but females edged out in the 12-34s (0.49/0.50). In female-skewing shows, Bravo's 'Below Deck' scored a 0.61 rating in W18-49 (#2 on cable) with 1.27 million viewers; MTV's 'The Challenge: Final Reckoning' was at 0.48 in that demo (0.46 in F12-34) with 627,000 viewers, while TLC's 'Outdaughtered' averaged that same 0.48 rating with 1.36 million viewers. On the scripted side, FX's 'Mayans M.C.' remained strong with a 0.55 rating and 1.39 million viewers, while USA's 'The Purge' slipped to 0.35 with 928,000 viewers. On WGN America, 'Carter' was a speck at only 163,000 viewers.

Cable Network Ratings: 9/24 - 9/30/2018

Bolstered by coverage of the Kavanaugh/Ford Senate hearing, FOX News dominated the week ending Sept. 30, 2018 among cable networks, averaging 3.24 million viewers in primetime. ESPN took a distant second with 2.53 million viewers, but still had a healthy margin over third-ranked MSNBC (2.12 million). Looking other cable news nets, CNN ranked fourth on the week (1.19 million), HLN took 47th (248,000), CNBC was in 51st (228,000), and FOX Business was in 72nd (103,000). Rounding out the seven networks that averaged over 1 million viewers in primetime was: USA Network (1.14 million), HGTV (1.13 million), and Hallmark Channel (1.04 million).

Monday October 1, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' game between the Chiefs and Broncos topped all of Monday cable with a 4.63 A18-49 rating with 13.2 million total viewers. The game led cable in all major demographics including: men & women 18-49 (6.66, 2.63 ratings), males & females 12-34 (4.43, 1.76), people 18-34 (3.66), people 25-54 (5.29), and people over 50 (5.64). On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' ranked second on the day in the W18-49 demo (1.32 rating) and averaged 1.74 million total viewers; 'Remy & Papoose' was at 0.75 in that demo with 968,000 viewers. Three hours of 'WWE Entertainment,' on USA Network, were at 0.97/0.96/0.95 in M18-49, and at 2.5 million/2.3 million/2.1 million viewers. Over at MTV, 'Teen Mom' had a 0.84 rating in W18-49, a 0.7 in F12-34, and 957,000 viewers; a 'Teen Mom' special was at 0.58/0.52 in those demos with 666,000 viewers, and 'Floribama Shore' had 0.39/0.39 with 515,000 viewers. Finally, on AMC, 'Better Call Saul' lost 0.02 in the demo from last week to 0.45, but stayed 3,000 viewers above its series-low viewership, averaging 1.353 million viewers on Monday (vs. 1.350M on Sept. 17). 'Lodge 49' remained low at 0.07 and 280,000 viewers. 

Live +3 and Live +7 Ratings: 9/17 - 9/23/2018

FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' led all of television in L+3 delayed viewing for the week ending September 23, 2018, rising 1.21 in the demo to 2.29, and up 2.4 million viewers to 4.63 million. In finales, USA's 'The Sinner' rose 0.38 to 0.63 in the demo and was up 1.6 million viewers to 2.7 million in L+3 for its final episode of the season, 'Suits' rose 0.23 to 0.49 and 1 million viewers to 2.1 million. The season finale of FX's 'Snowfall' ticked up 0.37 to 0.7 and jumped 840,000 viewers to 1.63 million in L+3. On the broadcast side, the season premiere of FOX's '9-1-1' led the week in raw L+7 gains, rising 1.04 in the demo to 3.61, and up 3.5 million viewers to 13.35 million. The season finale of 'America's Got Talent' rose 2.2 million viewers to 15.2 million for its Tuesday episode, and was up 1.9 million to 14.8 million for its Wednesday episode. Finally, the premiere episodes of NBC's 'I Feel Bad' rose to a seven-day total of 1.37/1.01 in the demo, and 6.8 million/4.9 million in total viewers. 

U.S. Social Content Ratings: 9/24 - 9/30/2018

Tuesday night's edition of NBC's 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,' featuring the band BTS, dominated the social ratings for the week ending September 30, 2018, averaging almost 2.5 million total interactions, including 2.4 million solely from Twitter. The season premiere of ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' took the second spot on the week with 1.39 million interactions, and NBC's season premiere of 'This is Us' ranked 8th with 549,000; both saw the majority of their interactions come from Instagram. Finally, the season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live' took the sixth spot on the week with 716,000 interactions, heavily fueled by activity from Twitter (526,000). 

Sunday September 30, 2018 Nielsen Finals

TLC's '90 Day FiancÄ—: Before 90' topped all of Sunday cable with a 0.82 A18-49 rating and 2.46 million viewers; the program also led in major demos including women 18-49 (1.15 rating), people 18-34 (0.57), and people 25-54 (1.01). On AMC, 'Fear the Walking Dead' notched a 0.71 rating in men 18-49 (highest non-sports rating in that demo) with 2.13 million viewers, and on Food Network, the 9pm airing of 'Halloween Wars' brought in the highest rating of the day in females 12-34 (0.67) and averaged 1.98 million total viewers. Among female-skewing programs, E!'s 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' averaged a 0.79 W18-49 rating with 1.01 million viewers, 'Ashlee & Evan' was at 0.35 in that demo with 453,000 viewers, and Bravo's 'Married to Medicine' had a 0.62 with 1.08 million viewers. Over on MTV, four episodes of 'Ridiculousness' were at 0.27/0.32/0.28/0.30 respectively in F12-34, 0.29/0.26/0.24/0.20 in M12-34, and 689,000/704,000/608,000/581,000 in total viewers. On pay cable, Showtime aired new episodes of 'Shameless' (1.09 million), 'Kidding' (281,000), & 'The Circus' (293,000), while HBO was new with 'The Deuce' (562,000), 'Ballers' (774,000), 'Insecure' (751,000), and 'Last Week Tonight' (1.16 million).

Saturday September 29, 2018 Nielsen Finals

ESPN's coverage of 'College Football' between Ole Miss and LSU topped the Saturday cable ratings with a 0.72 A18-49 rating and 2.02 million viewers. The game also brought in cable highs in men 18-49 (0.97 rating), males 12-34 (0.75), and people 18-34 (0.62). On A&E, 'Live PD' ranked second in the key demo (0.61 rating) and averaged 1.86 million viewers, taking victory in women 18-49 (0.65), females 12-34 (0.44), and people 25-54 (0.79). Over at Hallmark, the original move, 'All of My Heart: Wedding' took second in the P50+ demo with a 1.99 rating (0.01 behind FOX News' 'Justice with Judge Jeanine'), and ranked first in total viewers with 2.71 million. Among children's programming, Nickelodeon's 'Henry Danger' was at 0.25/0.22 in F/M12-34 and averaged 920,000 viewers; 'Knight Squad' was at 0.20/0.17 with 668,000 viewers. 

Friday September 28, 2018 Nielsen Finals

FOX took victory in the demo (1.3/7, 5.99 million), while CBS led in viewership (7.35 million) on the first Friday of the broadcast season. The new season premiere of FOX's 'Last Man Standing' (1.8/10, 8.1 million) had its highest ratings in six years, and provided an ample lead-in for new series 'The Cool Kids' (1.5/8, 6.9 million). ABC (0.6/3, 3.24 million) was in third with both 'Truth and Lies: Jonestown' (0.6/3, 3 million) & '20/20' (0.7/3, 3.4 million) at fractional numbers. CBS (0.8/4) premiered the same Friday line-up as last year: 'MacGyver' (0.7/4, 5.8 million), 'Hawaii Five-O' (0.9/4, 7.5 million), and 'Blue Bloods' (0.9/4, 8.8 million). NBC (0.5/2, 3.5 million) aired a new 'Dateline' (0.7/4, 3.9 million) after reruns of 'Manifest' and 'New Amsterdam.'
