Cable Network Ratings: 10/16 - 10/22/2017

Recap of top basic cable networks in primetime for the week ending October 22, 2017

Coverage of the Major League Baseball Playoffs on Fox Sports 1 led the week among all basic cable networks averaging 3.952 million viewers in primetime. TBS and ESPN followed right behind it at 2.663 million and 2.164 million viewers respectively in primetime. 

Among networks airing scripted programming, TNT ranked fifth on the week with 1.746 million viewers, AMC ranked seventh with 1.61 million, and USA Network ranked eighth on the week with 1.185 million. Also averaging over 1 million were HGTV (1.154M), Discovery (1.073M), and Hallmark (1.06M). 

Fox News led all of cable news networks with an average of 2.03 million viewers in primetime (#4). MSNBC (#6) had 1.615 million, CNN (#16) had 809,000, HLN (#50) had 246,000, and Fox Business (#74) had 117,000.
