Song Ratings: Week Ending May 13, 2021

Music ratings are divided into two weekly posts: one for albums, and one for individual songs; this is the song post. Songs achieve their positions on the weekly Billboard & Rolling Stone lists based on three major metrics: sales, streaming, and airplay. Below are three charts: the top 25 songs of the week based on total U.S. sales and streaming consumption (using Rolling Stone points methodology), the top 40 songs of the week based on U.S. pop radio airplay according to Nielsen, and an additional radio chart with the top 50 songs of the week according to Mediabase.

J. Cole's 'I N T E R L U D E' was the number one song of the week based on total consumption with nearly 187K chart points in the tracking week ending May 13. The vast majority came from its 24.02 million U.S. streams where it led the week while only about 3,000 came from pure sales. Doja Cat & SZA's new track 'Kiss Me More' took the second spot on the week with 170.5K points (5,500 sales & 21.19 million streams) while Dua Lipa's 'Levitating' ranked third with 165.5K points, leading the week in total sales (24,300). Other top sales performances this week came from Bruno Mars's 'Leave the Door Open' (14,200; 118.9K points; 10th), Masked Wolf's 'Astronaut in the Ocean' (11,800; 134.6K points; 6th), and The Kid Laroi's 'Without You' (10,200; 97.9K points; 12th). Polo G's 'Rapstar' ranked fourth in total consumption (162.1K points) and was the second-most streamed song (22.91 milion) and Trippie Redd's 'Miss the Rage' took fifth (144.9K). Rounding out the top 10 was Justin Bieber's 'Peaches' (128.2K; 7th), Lil Nas X's 'MONTERO' (124.6K; 8th), and The Weeknd's 'Save Your Tears' (125.5K).
