United Kingdom Ratings: 9/25 - 10/1/2017

Ratings highlights for the week of September 25, 2017 - October 1, 2017 in the UK. UK ratings reporting will consist the top show of the day for each of the major networks. 

The top show on BBC1 Monday was 'EastEnders' which found 6.89 million total viewers. The show remained on top for the network on Thursday (6.27M) and Friday (6.17M) as well. On Tuesday, 'Doctor Doctor' led the day with 8.81 million viewers, and on Wednesday, 'The Six O'clock News' did 4.36M. 'Strictly Come Dancing' led the network on both Saturday (10.79M), and Sunday (9.33M).

On Monday, 'University Challenge' did 2.62 million, and on Tuesday 'Saving Lives at Sea' topped at 1.79M. 'This Farming Life' did 1.78M on Wednesday, and 'Russia with Simon Reeve' led the entire week with 3.29 million on Thursday.  On Friday, 'Gardeners' Life' did 1.98 million, on Saturday, 'Dad's Army' did 1.21M, and on Sunday, 'Dragons Den' had 2.65 million.

Two Monday episodes of 'Coronation Street' led the entire week on ITV notching 8.06 million and 7.97 million, 'Liar' had 5.88 million. The two Wednesday episodes did 7.53M and 6.63M, and the two Friday episodes were at 7.28M and 7.14M. 'Emmerdale' led the network on both Tuesday (6.48M) and Thursday (6.2M), while 'The X Factor' led on Saturday (6.24M) and Sunday (5.98M).

Channel 4
Tuesday's 'The Great British Bake Off' dominated the week for the network notching 8.09 million total viewers. By comparison, Friday's 'Gogglebox' was second on the week and only brought in 2.95 million. On Monday, 'First Dates' did 1.85M, on Wednesday, 'Location Location Location' did 2.05 million, and on Thursday, 'The Supervet' notched 1.74M. It was a slow Saturday on the network as the film 'Now You See Me' (850,000) led the entire day, and on Sunday 'Escape to the Chateau' did a modest 1.55M. 

Channel 5
The top show for the week on Channel 5 was Monday's 'Paddington Station 24/7', which had an audience of 1.5 million. 'The Yorkshire Vet' led Tuesday with 1.42 million, and 'Can't Pay? We'll Take it Away!' led Wednesday & Saturday with 1.45 million and 720,000 respectively. Thursday's top entry was 'Neighbours' (910,000), Friday's was 'Britain by Bike' (1.18M), and Sunday's was an airing of the film 'Jack the Giant Slayer' (1.37M). 

On Monday, 2 episodes of 'The Vietnam War' aired and did 891,000 and 697,000 respectively.  On Tuesday, a documentary about Henry VIII had 489,000, and another doc on Vienna did 437,000. On Wednesday, BBC4 aired 'Britain's Lost Masterpieces' (476,000), Thursday was 'British History's Biggest Fibs' (564,000), and Saturday was 2 episodes of 'Black Lake' (563,000 & 491,000). 

Other shows of note:
Real Housewives of Chesire' on ITVBe, had 633,000 on Monday, 'The Only Way is Essex' did 892,000 on Sunday and 636,000 on Wednesday, and 'Botched' had 120,000 on Friday. On Sky 1, 'Stella' did 628,000 on Wednesday, 'Zoo' did 433,000 on Friday, and 'The Last Ship' had 379,000 on Sunday. On Sky 2, 'The Blacklist' did 53,000 on Monday, 'Colony' did 31,000 on Tuesday, and 'Stella' did 48,000 on Wednesday. There was a lot going on with Sky Living this week, including: 'Chicago Fire' (354,000), 'Law & Order True Crime' (230,000), 'How to Get Away with Murder' (213,000), and 'Criminal Minds' (86,000). Comedy Central aired 'Impractical Jokers' on Monday (289,000), and MTV showed 'Teen Mom 2' on Wednesday (227,000).
