WGN America's 'Carter' premiered August 7, 2018 to a low 0.04 adults 18-49 rating and 290,000 viewers. Its next two episodes both did quite well, hitting a series-high in the demo with episode 2 (0.05) and a series-high in viewers with episode 3 (361,000). It dropped after that point, averaging a 0.04 rating and 240,000 viewers in its first season. A second season aired in 2020 and barely registered, averaging just a 0.01 rating and 91,000 viewers over its 10 episodes. It has not yet been renewed for a third season, nor has it been cancelled.
