'The Shannara Chronicles' premiered in 2016 on MTV with a 0.48 adults 18-49 rating with 1.03 million viewers. Including its simulcasts on MTV2, TV Land, and TeenNick, it averaged a 0.59 with 1.51 million viewers. The first season concluded to a 0.40 with 854,000 viewers and averaged a 0.4 with 889,000 across ten episodes. A second season premiered in 2017 on Spike with a dismal 0.10 rating and 314,000 viewers, and averaged a 0.09 with 246,000 viewers. It has yet to be renewed for a third season.
