Survivor's Remorse (Starz): Ratings Recap

Below is a recap of the ratings for the Starz series 'Survivor's Remorse' which premiered October 4, 2014 and concluded October 15, 2017. The first season of the show performed very low, averaging below a 0.1 rating and just 210,000 viewer, so it was a miracle it even got renewed. The second season actually fared slightly better, almost doubling its 18-49 performance and averaging 120K more viewers per episode. Perhaps this gave the network optimism as it was renewed for a third season and aired behind 'Power' - the network's top rated show. With 'Power' bringing in almost 2 million viewers per episode and many sticking around to watch 'Survivor's Remorse' afterwards, the numbers for season three are extremely inflated, with the third episode bringing in over 1 million viewers. Although many 'Power' viewers stuck around to watch 'Remorse,' most did not as best evidenced by the September 25, 2016 season finales in which 'Power' brought in 2.01 million viewers, but only 761,000 stayed to watch 'Remorse.' Starz opted to renew 'Remorse' for a fourth season, but without its strong lead-in it faltered - averaging a 0.18 rating with 462,000 viewers, down half from the previous season where it was at 0.37/857,000. Though this average isn't necessarily terrible, the final two episodes of the season were back at season 1 levels pulling in just a 0.08 rating and in low 200K viewership. The program was cancelled after 4 seasons.
